your against, the michigan wolverines, the most winningest college football progame in history, if not, they are most winningest in the big ten for sure, 11? or 10? national championships, and your playing in the biggest stadium of any sort, in the country
Penn State fans can cry all they want, but Michigan won, fair, and square, in a classic college football game
What great football. I remember watching this live. It must suck to watch games like these on youtube and be a Michigan fan thinking about what the team has been like the past few years. They really have gone downhill. Here's to more traditional powers being good and clashing horns in epic matches like these in the future.
One thing that Penn State fans also forget to point out is that they got a complete BS two point conversion on a botched PAT. If they wana talk about luck and things along those lines, the teams are even.
I'm a 2010 UM grad and I just love all your vids. I've been at just about every home game since the 04 season and this game, the 04 MSU 3OT game and this past year's ND game are by far my most memorable experiences at UM. I enjoy reliving my college life through these.
@TheZooCrew Nope! I was a huge fan of LC; but MICHIGAN should NEVER LOSE to the likes of APP St--INDEFENSIBLE and a stain in the programs great history.

It's so true. This one hurt so much more than even the Minnesota loss in 1999 or the Iowa loss last year. The most crushing loss I've ever experienced as a PSU fan.
Yeah, but this was after our big win against Ohio State and for me personally I can't stand Michigan, and PSU has really struggled against them this whole decade. The game was back and forth, a roller-coaster of emotion, and I was sure we were going to win at the end.......
Chad Henne was one hell of a QB. I don't know why people gave him shit. All I know is that he was always a beast against PSU!
the funniest part of this entire game is that lloyd carr fought for an extra second bcuz he called a time out and the refs let an extra second tick off, he went onto the field and got his WINNING 1 SECOND back xD

the avant catch on the sideline was utter horseshit....lloyd carr was a little baby and had 2 seconds putt back on the clock which should not have happend...and kelly should not have kicked to breaston at the end......most heartbraking loss of my life
Pictures have shown the Avant catch was good. Pictures also showed Henne's knee was down when PSU stripped the ball and got rewarded a bogus touchdown that got them back in the game.
Can you tell me why PSU fans never bring up how JoePa argued AND GOT 2 seconds back on the clock in the first half? Carr is a baby for doing it but JoePa isn't? How convenient.
PSU definitely should not have kicked to breaston, but what is most rewarding for UM fans is 21 strips Henne and scores the TD, but 21 is the peson who is victimized on the gamewinning TD
@pennstate2612 Michigan won and you know it, everything they did was good, I hate Joe Pa and Penn State and Avant caught, and I agree what about Joe Pa complaining? Best comeback ever!
im a proud graduate of THE university of Michigan...was at that game so priceless to see the deflated faces of those nitany lions...they will be back at the Big House this fall....lets hope for the same kinda game
I was at this game one of the best games I have ever been to. I also have the t-shirt of this game signed by Henne, Hart , and Mannignham. Cool video great memories.
aww man i wish we still had breaston manningham and hart . :( but i understand michigan football is just going through a rough patch . they will bounce back
i thank all the OS fans for realizing the positives and negatives of both michigan and ohio. both are excellent teams with tradition and skill. like OS michigan is going through a rough stretch since we lost our RB QB offensive line and WR. however i dislike rich rod as our new coach. i think rod was not the best choice in choosing a new coach. hopefully OSU and Michigan will have more exciting games to come!
I'm a Buckeyes fan. Michigan was insanely good every year until RichRod. I really don't understand why Michigan's AD or whoever thought there needed to be a change. Sure, you've lost to OSU a few times in a row, but that's the beauty of the series- both teams stick with tradition and every game is close and competitive. Michigan would come out of it just fine. I was at the most recent OSU-Michigan game and man it was sad to see how Michigan was playing like Indiana or YSU or something..
I agree, thank you for not being an ignorant jerk off. :) I do 100% agree, Ohio State has been better recently, but Michigan was good also, save for this year.
I've got season tickets to Michigan games and I have been going for a very long time and I have to say this is my favorite game in the Big House. For this down Michigan squad to beat an undefeated PSU team it was just a great game.
this year um have to win and show the college football um football is still the best. um has to get with rich rod and get into the spread offense and change the big ten fuck ohio state and texas.
boy do i miss this team...even though 2005 was a down year (no where near as bad as last year though), i love to see old highlights of manningham, hart, henne, and hall
LOl... how come you dont have Lloyd begging for time on the video?!!?!?!?!? and i know your just gonna delete this but comeon! you shoulda shown the one "catch" again that was reviewed and should ahve been overturned. GO BLOW
I included the bogus PSU touchdown that shouldn't have been a score since Henne's knee was down. I also didn't include the clip where JoePa succeeded in getting time back on the clock earlier in the game. It's O.K. for him but it's not O.K. for Lloyd? Lloyd was able to get 2 seconds back when we actually should have had 4 seconds put back up since the clock didn't stop when it should have. One ref even pointed that out later. Either get a brain or learn the facts before you talk trash.
you r a typical PSU fan. Always crying about something. How did we cheat when we won 34-8 when you were supposed to be the best team in the country. By the way that was at your house. Get a life!!!
as a psu fan this is one of my favorite games, and yes i know we lost. at the end of the day i can say that i saw one of the greatest halves of football ever played. part of me thinks that michael robinson should get like half a win for this game, he was tough all afternoon. especially after he tossed that pick but then lead us down the field to take the lead. this michigan team loaded......hart, henne, manningham, breaston, woodley, hall..... a lot of guys playing on sunday.
I remember my dad and I was watching the game and after the incomplete to Breaston my dad was like"it's over, see they choke again." and I was like you never know and then it happen. I still bring it up to him every time we watch this highlights.
I was at this game and I carried the same attitude, though. Just before the last play, I kept thinking, "No way are we going to pull this out." So happy I was wrong.
As great as the ending of this game was, it should have been over after Leon Hall's interception.
i remember going to this game when i was 11 which was 4 years ago. the thing i remember was the last td and the fight that broke out in with one of penn states cornerbacks and mike hart lol
when i saw that i still had to thrust my fist in the air. it was pure magic. I grew up around the big house and i have been to countless games there but this is by far the most amazing game i have ever seen. I saw it when i was 10 and i still can feel the energy after that play...pure magic
This was a great game. Michigan was one of my favorite teams and I watched the entire game. The play at 3:46 has got be one of the greatest catches I've ever seen in football. Manningham caught the ball around the DB, running down the sideline and he didn't even go out of bounds and he scored. Amazing...
I was at this game, and seeing this still gives me goosebumps. The only other time I've heard the Big House as quiet as it was before Henne threw to Manningham was in 2004 when Henne threw to Edwards in 3OT vs MSU.
I was at both of those games as well. Both of those games were insane, remember how many Michigan fans left at the 04 MSU game? Those who stay will be champions.
Why do people keep ripping on PSU? Yeah, they got killed by USC. But that's because USC is only like 10 minutes away from the stadium. Penn State has to go across the country.
PSU also did good against the Trojans' defense.
Also, PSU's other loss (to Iowa) was pretty much a fluke. PSU should have gotten more consideration for the BCS Championship imo.
I'm glad Michigan will have the PSU game in Ann Arbor. This was such a great game. Go Blue!
the bcs sucks..again this year the favored the sec...no mather what you think Utah was the only undefeated team in the bcs games and deserved a shot at the national title...
im sick of hearing how good the sec is...
funny thing we hardly ever see the sec travel to Ann arbour, happy valley, south bend, iowa city etc... the sec is always favored...and im sick of USC too
If martavious odoms would quit turning the ball over he can be great. The guy that I would really be scared of would be Boubacar Cissoko. He is very talented.
I remember the last few minutes of this game. I was screaming when manningham made that touchdown with 1 second to go. thanks for bringing back th memories
this game didn't really matter to penn that year -- they would've screwed penn state out of the title game anyway. the big 10 always gets screwed by the voters.
true... Ur right as it didn't matter and the voter do screw over anyone except the SEC. but that was the year USC and Texas actually went wire to wire as 1 and 2. So even if Penn St. had won that game they wouldn't have gone to the National Title game because preseason 1 and 2 were still undefeated...
This was the best game I have seen in my life. I thought the game was over when Penn scored that touchdown. But Henne to Mannigham was a connection you could not beat. In 2006 Michigan almost had a perfect season. I hope Michigan does much better then they did this year
was one of the greatest games i have seen, i was at that game. Penn State fans behind us were crying afterwards. Over 111,000 people screaming their heads off is amazing. Go Blue
None of these videos show how lloyd carr stopped the game for about ten minutes to get 2 more seconds on the clock,PUNK The Wolverines called timeout after a Henne pass completion with the clock stopped at :28. Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr called the officials over, and after a protest by Carr and a long conference, the officials reset the game clock to 0:30. Those extra two seconds would turn out to impact the outcome of the game. Six plays later, with 0:01 on the clock, Michigan would score
id say thats just what any decent coach would do, give your team a chance to win any way possible. joe pa would do the same so eat crow rangerfx4, shitty truck too by the way....lol
yeah the acoustics at michigan stadium aren't great for noise. But the new renovations are specifically designed to increase noise level and to keep it in. Check out the new construction and you can see that it closes in the open sky a little more and will keep the noise inside more.
I find it ironic that just as Griese is talking about how the noise doesn't stay in Michigan Stadium, the crowd lets loose an absolutely enormous roar when Manningham catches the touchdown.
I'm a Penn State fan forever, but the atmosphere at the Big House is outstanding; I don't understand why people don't give it more respect.
For three quarters. But then Penn State took over, but the game still ended in shocking fashion. Even though I attribute that loss to bad calls, I also attribute it to Penn State spotting them a 10-0 lead.
I went to this game. And I can't tell you how loud the staduim was when Manningham scored. I was jumpin up and down. Everyone was really, I huged a complete stranger next to me. Everyone did. It's true that because of the way the staduim is built the noise eaisly escapes. But at the end of the game it certainley stayed.
This was my first ever Michigan game!!!

Had this not been a touchdown, we would have had the same three-team controversy of the year before and possibly no Texas-USC Rose Bowl.
If I ever see Manningham, I will tell him that the millions who saw the epic Rose Bowl can thank him.

Can you tell me why PSU fans never bring up how JoePa argued AND GOT 2 seconds back on the clock in the first half? Carr is a baby for doing it but JoePa isn't? How convenient.

buddy, give it a rest, it was several years ago

PSU definitely should not have kicked to breaston, but what is most rewarding for UM fans is 21 strips Henne and scores the TD, but 21 is the peson who is victimized on the gamewinning TD

@pennstate2612 Michigan won and you know it, everything they did was good, I hate Joe Pa and Penn State and Avant caught, and I agree what about Joe Pa complaining? Best comeback ever!

i thank all the OS fans for realizing the positives and negatives of both michigan and ohio. both are excellent teams with tradition and skill. like OS michigan is going through a rough stretch since we lost our RB QB offensive line and WR. however i dislike rich rod as our new coach. i think rod was not the best choice in choosing a new coach. hopefully OSU and Michigan will have more exciting games to come!

Finally a buckeye fan with a brain, and Michigans AD Bill Martin is a total jackass and an idiot.

It's hard for me to put this game over the braylon edwards show of 2004 against state

LOl... how come you dont have Lloyd begging for time on the video?!!?!?!?!? and i know your just gonna delete this but comeon! you shoulda shown the one "catch" again that was reviewed and should ahve been overturned. GO BLOW
Timko6687 2 years ago

I still bring it up to him every time we watch this highlights.
kuya4charlie4 2 years ago
As you should.
I was at this game and I carried the same attitude, though. Just before the last play, I kept thinking, "No way are we going to pull this out." So happy I was wrong.
As great as the ending of this game was, it should have been over after Leon Hall's interception.

I miss Steve Breaston as a return man. We need someone to step up next year and make a difference.

If martavious odoms would quit turning the ball over he can be great. The guy that I would really be scared of would be Boubacar Cissoko. He is very talented.

I remember the last few minutes of this game. I was screaming when manningham made that touchdown with 1 second to go. thanks for bringing back th memories
AnitaDoobie 3 years ago
this game didn't really matter to penn that year -- they would've screwed penn state out of the title game anyway. the big 10 always gets screwed by the voters.
utuber586 3 years ago

I hope Michigan does much better then they did this year

watch the clock at 30 seconds it keeps running and no whistles are blown for a timeout. what a bad call
RANGERFX4 3 years ago
None of these videos show how lloyd carr stopped the game for about ten minutes to get 2 more seconds on the clock,PUNK The Wolverines called timeout after a Henne pass completion with the clock stopped at :28. Michigan head coach Lloyd Carr called the officials over, and after a protest by Carr and a long conference, the officials reset the game clock to 0:30. Those extra two seconds would turn out to impact the outcome of the game. Six plays later, with 0:01 on the clock, Michigan would score
RANGERFX4 3 years ago
Did you just copy that from Wiki? If so, nice job.
But anyway, this was one of the best games I've watched. That 4th quarter was insane.
EeVvAaNn3 3 years ago
id say thats just what any decent coach would do, give your team a chance to win any way possible. joe pa would do the same so eat crow rangerfx4, shitty truck too by the way....lol
detroitsports77 3 years ago
yeah the acoustics at michigan stadium aren't great for noise. But the new renovations are specifically designed to increase noise level and to keep it in. Check out the new construction and you can see that it closes in the open sky a little more and will keep the noise inside more.
kareemthedream33 3 years ago
I find it ironic that just as Griese is talking about how the noise doesn't stay in Michigan Stadium, the crowd lets loose an absolutely enormous roar when Manningham catches the touchdown.
I'm a Penn State fan forever, but the atmosphere at the Big House is outstanding; I don't understand why people don't give it more respect.
uselessidguy331 3 years ago
michigan dominated up front and chad henne picked ur secondary apart!
IDCWTFMYNAMEIS 3 years ago
For three quarters. But then Penn State took over, but the game still ended in shocking fashion. Even though I attribute that loss to bad calls, I also attribute it to Penn State spotting them a 10-0 lead.
MVillani1985 3 years ago
Still ties knots in my stomach. Such a tough loss to swallow...
Much respect to Michigan for pulling through. It's one of the greatest games in college football history.
uselessidguy331 3 years ago
The game that saved the BCS from another three undefeated team debacle.
Remember the USC-Oklahoma-Auburn BCS controversy of 2004?
If Manningham doesn't catch that, same situation, different teams.
