Dexter didn't go to the 2nd round, should have placed elaine gibbs instead. In simon's group rachel and melanie have similar voices(both are great and young). Nicole wasted her time on dexter, she couldn't get the right songs for him and he didn't do much either b.c he has his own persona. This show is more about judges molding singers/bands into superstars, dexter can't be told what to do w.nicole as a judge. Agree w.nicole on her group for the live shows except for dexter.

Actually, their mentors picked the song FOR them. So, maybe Elaine didn't have the right song for her and Stacy did, but Stacy's performance had that WOW factor, and thats why the right one went through.

Elaine may not have 'the total package' in terms of looks or whatever, but neither does Stacey. I find Elaine to be much more likeable and my heart broke when Nicole sent her home. Even with all the tears and heartbreak she still managed to say 'it's ok' to Nicole. Biggest mistake made on xfactor in my opinion.
