I agree with you about the mutant dog part. It disturbed me at first, but it still confuses the living fuck out of me. I too have been searching the internet for answers on why they even added them.
This is one where it took me a while to appreciate it, because there is a lot of silly stuff in it like the killer parakeet and the dance scene. But it does have some good things it like a darker Freddy, a chilling score by Christopher Young, and the transformation scene was fantastic. I don't love it and I still consider it a lower tier Elm Street film, but I like it more than I use to.
The story probably would've been better in a standalone film, like HALLOWEEN: SEASON OF THE WITCH.
i feel like this movie was very rushed. like they got so much money from the first they felt like they had to quickly put out a sequal. and although this isnt my favorite due to shitty acting and alot of gay undertones its has a unique concept and one badass scene where freddy rips his way out of jesse.overall its not the best butstill worth seeing.Great revies man keep it up cant wait to see more
First, I'd like to say that i just subbed because of this video. Second, I always thought the "Demon Dogs" were the way they were beause of Freddy's influence
One thing I like in this ones defense is that it has Clu Gulager in it, and he's a legend!! I like the party scene a lot so much carnage. "Hey man let me help you... Help yourself f****r"
haha yea that dog human face thing was weird and stupid, i hated that part, i was like wtf, was she dreaming or what? lol that part i didnt get either, but i like this movie for the fact that he is still evil and not joking as much as he does in the others, he looks scary too.
I dont know why you like this one. It isnt a very good film. It strays away from the original storyline and makes you wonder what in the world is going on. I do like part 3 and 4 but wasnt a huge fan of the series. I think the first is an instant classic, great film. Wondering if the remake will come close to the original, we will see.
As we all know Freddy needs fear. This is isn't said too much in the first, but there's LOTS of evidence for it. If you're not scared of Freddy, then you are stronger than him. So, I think the thing with the dogs plays into this. I believe it's Freddy pulling out some subconcious fears and making them living to scare the woman [forget her name.] and to weaken her so to speak.
For some reason, that scene where Jesse looks down on Freddy was one of the scariest things in the whole Nightmare series. It was something about being able to look into Freddy's world, knowing he could turn round any second. That part fucked with my mind no end.
I treat no 2 like Silent Hill 2, its something completely different. The characters are far more likable and believable than the original (in which I was rooting for Freddy) though the bus-scene framing was unusual. You called Jessie a male lead? Freddy is at his most vicious in this movie from how he makes an innocent character into a killer 8/ Maybe she was tripping out when she went to see freddy and saw the mutant dogs instead? We're as lost about the flaming birds as the family!
I could be wrong, but I think freddy had the glove in the first few scenes he was in then he doesn't have the glove when he appears at the party and in grady's room because jesse had taken the glove then threw it down in his basement while talking to freddy! i think...
Elm Street 2 has a lot of gay undertones, and also the reason it gotta lot of stick was- because Freddy came out of the Dreamworld, and into the real world.
@EnduranceProductions i think the idea was, that it was a visual cue so you didnt forget that freddy burst out of the hero, kinda inside out the guy, turning him into a avatar, and it proof that it painful. i mean having knives stabbing out ya hands from inside would be painful.
@BIGGAJET3 since he possessed the kid jesse, it was kinda like his body mixed with freddy, its hard to explain, anyways I liked this movie, a lot people dont like it but people dont like anything but anyways, i liked how he was still evil in this one.
@BIGGAJET3 I think it had to do with Freddy possessing Jessy, and with the filmmakers wanting to do something different. I'm actually kind of sorry they didn't bring that back in future sequels.
I read one comment that the weird dog-things that the faces were supposed to be coach Schneider and Ron Grady. Personally I don't see it and I was under the impression that someone thought "hey, that's neat and twisted, let's do that", which, when you think about a film featuring the blurring of the lines of reality, is quite a fair thing to do.
I pretty much feel the same about this one. I enjoy Freddy in it, because he still has that dark theme. Parts 3 and 4 are fun, but after that I love interest until New Nightmare.
I sometimes call Freddy vs. Jason, Freddy's Revenge 2, haha.
It's a decent entry, and still holds true to the Fred Krueger character before he became a real jokester, but also hints toward what he'd become.
In my opinion the point in which Freddy arrives in the real world and Lisa runs into those mutant dogs are all a dream. It was stated that in the original Nancy never woke up and pulled Freddy out of the dream, she did take away his power over her, which is why he traps her in the car and kills her mother. I think the ending was a dream, this also explains the bus ending
I've only seen Freddy's Revenge once. I was expecting a really bad flick considering what the fans say of it but I was actually pleasantly surprised. It's a pretty good sequel. Freddy's much darker and not much of a joker in that part which is great.
yeah, Freddy's is still creepy in that one. Never fear, James Bond reviews are on their way, I just recently went and watched the new James bond movie for research. Any thoughts on how I should approach them, old ones first, in order, or just mix them up? Thanks for viewing!

I'd say they'll do it for sure, but I definitely think they're going to gauge it by how well Friday the 13th does at the box office in February.
I've already heard casting rumours, but nothing solid, so we shall see.
