What M. Shyamalans want to tell us is that stuff that happens in our lifes is pre-determined and some other mumble jumble about faith, fate and god. crop circles started out as a massive ad campaign by 'target' that just went awry. sort of like the marketing boys at 'dr. scholl's' teaming up with the 'kingsford' folks in an effort to make everyone walk on fire and feel at ease. this is just my opinion; i could be wrong...

opening scene with little girl shrieking several times was riveting; then learning all the fuss was about some grooves turned out in the field, i couldn't help but wonder why this would make an 8 year old completely lose it. but the general plot and story does justice to the mediocre character portrayals.

A very boring, depressing and pretentious attempt at a "story" which in the end is uninteligible. The main problem is that if there are any clues for the viewer to figure the mess out, the film is unable to engage me enough to even begin to care about resolving the supposed mystery. A total rip off.

I don't really know what to think of Shyamalan. The sixth sense and signs were SO great yet the rest of his movies are big let downs. The happening and Devil were total snoozers. Sorry they just were. He's almost like Josh McDaniels, GREAT offensive coordinator, but head coach? ehhh, he had a couple good drafts, but for the most part, he should just stick to OCing under McHoodie, likewise Shyamalan should stick to working on Avatar behind Cameron.

Films like this are scary. To scare someone you don't need to make them jump or to show gore. It is more scary when you don't see the attack but hear it, or see a silhouette of it happening. I love the scene in the crop circle at night, always spooks me.

I like the way they make the preview for Shyamalans movies appealing to the majority, but the movie is always so much more. I feel sorry for those people that criticize his movies and cant watch them for what they are. I am gratetful that I am not one of those people. Thanks Mr Shyamalan for such memorable and unique movie experiences. Now hurry up and finish the Avatar series so you can get back to doing your own thing!

Signs is one of my favorite movies and one of the few to actually scare me. Lol, I remember (and I'm sure a lot of you also) can recall the scene where the kids are having the birthday. Everyones like in a panic and you don't know whats going on then BOOM! the alien walks by and HOLY FUCK! I swear I jumped a little out of my seat in the theatre. I couldn't watch that for awhile afterwards cuz it freaked me out so much. I'd have to look away or something... but now I'm older its not bad.

Man, I remember I watched this about 4/5 years ago when I was around 12, and the bit that scared the shit out of me that I still can't watch without my fingers over my eyes is the bit that's filmed at the kid's birthday party, that's shown on the news, and they're all at the window pointing and shouting. I cried when the alien walked across! Mum was like, don't be a baby, it's just bigfoot ... but naked with no hair! (I was a fan of bigfoot then lol)
