Biggest advantage of the Zi8 is image stabilization which is sorely lacking in the Zx1

Yes it's a good camera! Take a look at the Zi8 from Kodak too!
I was, but here in canada I can get the zx1 for about $89-$99, not sure why that one is soo cheap/
