@fanofCOH - get a grip - this video is over a year old.. I was messing about - my first attempt ... I dont even care anymore - I only approved your comment to show what a douche nozzle you are
yes.. stock ics gears... I sold this gun almost a year ago now.. it amazes me Im still getting comments..technology has made leaps and bounds since I screwed about with the 12v battery!!!
have a search on ASCUK for 'MP-16' and you will find a thread for people who made machine pistols out of their M-16 variants... mine is on there twice, once when it had a bodged up fake silencer made from plumbing pipe, then finally with a homemade flashhider which made it noisy as hell - lovely!!
and thats it... I did this a year ago and if I wanted to make it faster I would have put in the mosfet and a guarder turbo motor - some people just put in the guarder motor and see a vast improvement in ROF... also rewiring it with a higher guage of wire helps reduce resistance.
Also because I didnt have a mosfet installed I had to clean up the contacts once because of arcing... so if anyone has a high voltage setup and one day the gun doesnt fire, but only makes a clicking noise - this is the first thing to check.
Anyways - my setup was the standard ICS turbo 2000 motor, 12v battery (2200 MaH i think), TM piston with the 1st 1 1/2 teeth filed down and the piston head vented......
thanks Justin... ICS gearboxes are pretty loud as it is - no amount of motor height adjustment helped.
I actually just sold this yesterday :(
a little sad to see it go as it was a faithful wee beastie.
only problem I ever had was with stripped pistons, which was inevitable, but I used TM ones which were cheap and because of the material, didnt damage the gears ones when they did strip. I actually only replaced the piston once in the whole time I had the gun.
I dont believe you. I wont be approving any more of your comments unless you have something constructive to add, so dont bother posting until then mate.
Honestly mate, I dont care if your gun is faster than mine, I just enjoy tinkering with guns, and I think its daft of you to come on here bragging about how magic yours is.... lol twat.
and you sound like a smarmy kid with too much money. I doubt you built that yourself - I imagine you paid out a lot of cash for all that stuff. whereas its shown that high rates of fire can be achieved relatively cheaply using only TM pistons which are durable and cheap to replace. Your Guarder high speed motor combined with the 12 volt battery would churn out an awesome rate so long as your piston had the teeth done and that would be all you need to achieve a huuuge rof.
My Beta Spetsnaz has a Rewire, Rev Latch, Custom High ROF spring, Sector clip, Spring Guide, Bearings, Piston Head, Short Stroked Super Core Piston, Short Stroked Prometheus Gear Set, Guarder High Speed Motor, 8MM Gear Box, Steel Cylinder Head, Systema 12 Volt Battery, And A PDI Tight Bore Inner Barrel. My TM Beta Spetsnaz shoots 270 FPS and has a HIGH-ROF!!! of 45 RPS. And trust me I would put up a video if I could.
yep metal stock ICS gears.. if you wanna see fast search for corvid's ICS M4... his is quick man... i need to get myself a motor to go faster with less voltage
yeah, I was lookin at the mosfets on airsoftmechanic, but its a little out of my comfort zone (electronically speaking!) If you have any schematics of a wiring setup for a mosfet circuit that would be really helpful... I would actually like to end up using a microswith instead of the trigger mech... in fact just go totally solid state... I like some of the tricks and treats they suggest on airsoft mechanic.. like the shot counter and simulated flash etc..
All the ICS para's are loud straight from the factory, and I know the ROF isnt the fastest, this was my first attempt, the motor was stock and the battery was 12v..I think Ill achieve better results with a faster motor and a 9.6 batt..... anyways, any constructive comments would be thankfully recieved.
thanks mate....after the initial purchase of the gun... I used a TM piston ($10) a 12v battery (2nd hand £20) - all in about £25 ($50)..Its still under construction at the minute... its being turned into an MP16... its at the final cosmetic stages, Ill posta vid of it once its done..
thanks... cosmetics will hopefully be complete in a couple of weeks... Im lazy!!... Also after seeing Corvids ICS, I might get myself a Systema Turbo motor... sounds the business!
yeah... after watching Corvid's vid.. Ill defo be getting a systema turbo and sticking with the 9.6v.... Im using the standard ICS motor that came with it and the 12v batt and still not getting the ROF that Corvid has :( lol....
is that on my gun Corvid?... damn - I hoped it might be more... still I have to put in a vented piston and do a wee bit more tweaking to the electrics.. hopefully Ill squeeze some more out of it.. cheers man..
Very nice matey - although; not even a shout out for me in the video? Heh, I'm kidding buddy, that is very tasty - High speed gears and a high speed motor next? Systema Turbo is quality, I'm running one on 12volts and it's tasty as fu<k, G&P M120 is also good for a third of the price! A mosfet is a bit of an effort, but I think the slight boost in ROF will be worth it, plus the carbon built up and wear on the contacts on 12volt without a mosfet is huge! Ice"

far to slow, sounds like shit.... using a 12v with a 1j spring = fail

Are you using an ICS pinion?

nice shit dude. Just a little pitchy for my tastes. So, did you custom make this yourself, i wanna know your exact setup.

Sounds horrible and is not that fast at all..

bakhand quite inflating your ego, no one gives a fuck....
nice gun bboy sounds like you need to adjust your motor height a little. Sounds too high pitched for my likeling.

Actualy I upgraded my Beta Spetsnaz my self. I work in a airsoft shop buddy!

Anyone that worked in an airsoft shop wouldent be so cocky about it, and upgrading one gun isnt anything to get excited about ;)

This gun is slow and so is the corvids ICS m4. My TM Beta Spetsnaz shoots stupid fast with a ROF of 45 RPS.
bakhandbeatdown 3 years ago
well, lets see a video of it then! I might as well just tell you that I can fire a pea shooter at 45 RPS!

you should get a mosfet with an active breaker, it will increase rof by around 30% and will help stop overspin if u ahve any

thats a pretty fast rof, i hope it has metal gears tho
SomebodyOO7 4 years ago
that was a stupid statement and all im gonna say is, all top brands, have metal gears. simple as that
soccerpwnz 4 years ago
That sounds so bad, you need to adjust your motor. And that is slow ROF.

May i make a suggestion. Instead of getting the Sytema Turbo motor. Look into systemas new magnum motor. I have one in my M4 and im in love.

At that voltage, a MOSFET would be a very wise idea if you don't already have one!
Corvid 4 years ago
yeh... its going OK at the moment, but Id like to go completely 'digital'.. eventually replacing the trigger unit with a microswitch as well...

21rps on the 12v by my calculations! Great stuff!

Ive got an M120 just sitting here - would it be crazy to fit it? how can we tell? I might just fit it to see!
most likely gonna get a mosfet too, may as well do it when Im doing the wiring - Ive got a sector chip to stick in there too
anyways - I updated the video with added comedy
