sinto-me extasiado com tão bela canção. Sinto saudades daquela época, o céu era + azul e o sol brilhava +, pena " A vida é um cavalo veloz". Não havia o tal de crack, mas éramos muito loucos, ao som dos Beatles, Led Zepellin, The Who,Creedence,Jimmy Hendrix, etc... A fumaça era de melhor qualidade e éramos + românticos, + curtidores + da pesada, éramos a "geração Woodstok" .Os amores eram eternos.

@atfatw I said fuck you because you told someone to die.... who here is truly inappropriate? I use a vulgar expression and your sentiment is "die". I doubt a high percentage of people who listen to Joan Baez "think with their crotch". I'm not a bimbo your rhetoric is derogatory so I reiterate, fuck you.
@Randompzycho your kind who obssess over deviant sex pretty much constantly can't express their moronic screwed up teenage selves in any appropriate way except through profanity.
@atfatw obviously I can't express myself without profanity because every comment I have posted (including this one) consists of nothing but profanity. and it's interesting that you say "your kind", you are divisive and you have barely had any interaction with me. I didn't realize you could categorize a person based on a few dozen words.
@atfatw sometimes I'll be feeling a little down, a little unappreciative of myself but then the coolest thing happens, I come here and read your marvelous literature and I think wow, I will aspire to be just like this person someday, oh golly! I hope I can make it!
Why don't we have more of this kind of music instead of terrible cacophony? We are pounded by rap and hip hop and hard metal stuff. This is soothing rather than making you feel angry for some reason.
As much as I like Bob Dylan, there are some tracks that Joan Baez simply sings and artistically portrays with feeling, and this is a perfect example. Similarily the song "Lily Rosemary & the Jack of hearts" is another shining example. Dylan always seemed to rush headlong into the songs whereas Joan takes her time and involves her audience. Takes me back and thankyou for posting the track.
YES!!!
First saw Joan in 1960 then saw her last week. She can still hit the high notes, but her voice is mellower now and even more appealing. Oner of the greatest ever.
I really enjoyed her voice. it's so pretty and clear. I like how she sings the irish version of the song but sings it in an american way. Her voice is most defiently american and it contrasts nicely with the irish background. i think her version is much better than mark knopfler's
What a lovely song. Thanks for posting!

This is a very strange recording with several points where she comes in at the wrong time and then stops herself. What band is she playing with?

@atfatw At least she's not whining as much in this song as she usually does. So many folk singers mistake whinyness for sensitivity.
