I read Mr. Franks story and it was Great. But I think that he forgot to put how much Sid was gambling. It helped her downfall. She worked her ass off. Judy Garland the Greatest!!!!!!!!!
It saddens me to know that Warner Brothers didn't know how to treat a true artist and understand the Star Is Born is a movie poduced by a true artist's soul and life. They cut the movie ruthlessly because their only concern was profit. It is a SHAME! Judy Garland's story becomes so sad because as a major talent she deserved much better.
You know, in a strange way it almost makes me ashamed to call myself a human, when it was humans like Judy's mother, Sid Luft, etc who pushed her to such dark places.....
When I see videos like this I just wish I could reach out and give her a hug.....
@MicheleBell1 I could sense she really gave everything to her art and her performance. Anyway, in my heart I have the highest respect and sympathy for her. WHAT AN ARTIST! WHAT A TRAGEDY!

@actressindemaking Judy should have been given the respect and they should have handled her gentler. Sid did his best but being on call 24/7 was a chore and he had to deal with her moods and it was Sid that made most of her milestones a reality even when they divorced, he was the only person strong enough who knew her and how to deal with her. He wasn't perfect but out of all her husbands, he was the strongest one and knew when to push and when not to. Gerald Frank's bio "Judy" is the best bio.

Who is it telling the story about taking her home at 1:35? Stories like that break my heart.
