Wow, it´s very nice to have such person like you explaining these details to an ignorant like me in the plane things! But I am a very fan of planes anyway, and sometimes I spend a little of time watching videos like this one and remembering good moments of my life! Thank you very much! Are you pilot, by the way? :))
@samtob747 Oh no, don´t say this because I will spend all night long making you questions hahahahaha! But, please, just one more: if you can, of course, if not, you can reply me in private, please. Thank you. What kind of planes you "drive" (if that is the correct word), and have you drove a 380? Or a 340 (the one that I used to travel in the past snif snif).
It seems they use full power when they are in the air, but it occurs when CLB is selected on the thrust lever (because in this flight CLB thrust is greater than FLX thrust) and when the engines spool down is because they stop climbing around FL100 (you can hear the seatbelts sign sound) when they continue climbing engines spool up again to give CLB thrust
@suliquinhas of course :) Reduced thrust is used when there is a difference between the actual take-off weight and maximum take-off weight, it's used generally in all take-off's to increase engines life (whenever it's possible, of course). Reduced thrust can't be used when we're taking off with max weight, runway is contaminated with water or snow, or if we are limited by obstacle clearance; in these cases we have to apply max take-off thrust
@samtob747 Wow! So is that when we are taking-off and we realize the plane "goes back", I mean, just in the moment of the take off, suddenly I feel like the plane "looses" power and the planed really do reduces the speed? Thank you so much for the explanation!
@suliquinhas when you feel the plane "looses power" is because thrust is reduced to climb power, the nose of the aircraft is lowered to maintain speed or increase it to retract flaps ;)
@giib if you are in economy try and get a decent seat. ie up to row 50 and you will get the same view as I got. This video was shot from 50A. this is the only decent ac in Emirates fleet (seat pitch wise).
thanks for all your comments, it was a very nice plane indeed. it would be interesting to compair these Engine Alliance engines with the RR powered A380 of Singapore, but I cannot afford a first class ticket for the same view :-)
@Agui007 hahahahahahaha But I am finding this engines too noise anyway! Not while taking off, but once it turned left and again and again, I hear too much noise? Is for the video or is it from the engines? Tks!
WTF Dubai is super rich! luxury emirates a380 and their massive modern airport wow

yeah I see that . It wasn't a full power take-off
