  • orgy of anger

  • Intense.

I was completely transfixed for the whole 10 minutes, and now I have a headache...

  • very boring

  • Exquisite. The sex and helium scenes, wow!. More than in the eye of the beholder, right? Fabulous work, thank you.

  • As is typical with experimental/avant garde works of all kinds, any substance is imagined, contrived by the audience. Which is fine, but what remains is little more than a novelty.

  • You're username brings up suspicion. Are you trying to kill us with sound?

  • I can't say that I understand ANY of that... but it was pretty freaky, interesting and definitely different. I wish Hollywood could be more open minded. :/

  • @aceenigmax

HE DID THAT IN THE DARKROOM... THAT MUST'VE TAKEN HUNDREDS OF HOURS.....

  • Oh, glory to the abstract and chaotic being of avant-garde Horror!!!

  • It is so clear that "tom Stoppard" doesn't understand a thing about "modern art". And it is clear that you don't understand a thing about this film, simply by using this quote. This film wouldn't even fall under "modern art".

Read a book, take a class, open your mind a bit before you critique something from a perspective a complete ignorance on the subject. Not saying you can't have an opinion, just realize that within the dialogue of this type of art, that type of opinion is irrelevant.

  • Well that was odd.

  • the film is the entity but i do like the editing its creepy

  • Check out "Dream Work," also a "remix" of The Entity, truly amazing, esp. when seen on the big screen

  • I have his DVD "in the darkroom" of his contact print films, from the distribution company "index". He is an amazing film maker, its definitely worth the 20 or 30 bucks.

  • Yeah, watch films on youtube and expect everyone (including filmmakers) to comply with your condition. Get off of the internet.

  • I saw this video today in a museum in Japan. I was completely hypnotic. I love this...

  • Seems like the Cam is broken, i like the fifth minute because i can imagine it causes epilepsy, lol

  • I met peter tscherkassky today in the Film museum in vienna.. it was amazing!!

  • shez hot

  • can i get just the audio from this somehow?

  • i love how this film is completely analog! peter made this film in a darkroom. he laid the print of the entity over an unexposed film strip and used a laser pointer to expose certain parts of the entity's image onto the unexposed film.

    its fucking amazing.

  • hehe, he's not trying to change the world. he is engaging with it. critical theory died in the nineties.

  • engaging with it..(giggle)

  • He's an editor, not a philosopher... What do you do (other than criticize)?

  • One of the best at the top of his game!

  • thank you, I saw it for the first time last week....

  • Oh my god that is amazing!!!

  • Les plans sont looooongs

Trèèèès long et en fait, trop long, plus que néssécaire.

  • incredible

  • The concept was the film is attacking the female character. This is an extremely edited and degraded version of the Entity with Barbara Hershey.

  • You miss the inclusion of the spectator; it seems to me not only does the positioning make the viewer complicit in the attack, but is attacked as well for it's acquiescence.

  • brilliant

  • that was cool

  • Film from 1999, and that is Barbara Hersey from "The Entity."

  • Just watched this in school. Instant favorite. This youtube version doesn't do it justice at all.

  • It was made in 1999 i think...one of his later works...great stuff

  • Well, if that one doesnt give you a seizure nothing will...

  • WARNING: May induce seizures in those prone to epileptic fits.

Amazing f***ing film, nonetheless! When was this made?

  • cool

  • my eyes are burned

  • I was wondering when this will be on you tube. This is amazing.

  • great work !

  • Is his scene froma film? Ithink it is. Do you know from which one is it?

  • Yeah, The Entity

  • wonderful

  • I just watched this for the first time today on Experiments in Terror. So amazing

  • Thanks a lot for putting this one up, I also have been looking for this one ever after I saw it once at some festival- the only one I remembered from it! So nice to make stuff like this WITHOUT aftereffects and the like, but WITH real lights, real sounds and real smells of the dark room..

  • No problem.... I was amazed the first time I saw Outer Space. Peter Tscherkassky's editing is amazing.

  • Thanks for putting this up, just learned about this guy and really wanted to check out his work. That was an incredible short.

  • you can buy this on the Experiments in Terror collection. it's out on dvd.

  • sweet! ive been looking for this everywhere! Anyone know if you can buy it on dvd and something?!

  • super classe !

  • one of my favorite shorts ever.
