it makes plenty of sense. the guitar is based on fourths between all the strings except a major third between the g and the b string. he could play eflat aflat dflat gflat bflat and eflat. you can play f bflat eflat aflat c and f as the strings and the guitar would sound in tune with it self. just because he isn't tuned to the standard eadgbe doesn't mean he is out of tune. now if one of his strings are out then it will sound bad, but if the guitar is relative, it will sound fine. dumbass.
