Have enjoyed all you have posted on this site. Keep em coming. I'm a male jazz singer who also plays piano but I would love to record with you as accompanist. You have a rare soul with the insight into the 'universal mind' of Bill Evans which combined is absolutey beautiful. Thank you for all you have posted. If you ever come to the UK I would like the chance to meet. I live in the channel islands. Take care and regards Paul
Tom - this is absolutely beautiful. As well as all the other aspects of your playing, I especially like the way you control the dynamics. And it is a great song too play!
Thanks so much for sharing! Your understated style is so much more expressive than a busier arrangement would be. If you take requests, I'd love to hear you play "She's Out of My Life"
Great stuff!! Are you ever gonna post explanations of why what you're doing works? That'd be awesome for us beginners who are still trying to grasp the jazz theory.
This is not happening. Can't be. Anyway - you don't deserve Vintage B Something Someversion Whatever Digital Crap, you deserve Live Delicious Sexy Steinway'n'Sons'n'Daughters at Carnegie Hall.
Great playing, I love that song and what you did to it. I don't like the sound of the Galaxy though, just my opinion. It sounds bashy and I can tell it certainly isn't your playing.
@davebeeboss Thx Dave. I experimented with some outboard processors on this soundtrack, so you may prefer the sound of the Vintage D in it's more pure form. It's worth listening to the demo's on their website. I find this instrument a pleasure to play. I've really enjoyed your recent posts!
Thanks 7note. I have been enjoying yours as well! When I hear you play a tune like this it inspires me to go and play it myself. So thanks for the inspiration.
I will check out the vintage D on your recommendation.
God this is so impressive and inspiring, im loving all those voicing's and the feel is simply phenomenal, I think this has to be one of my favourite music videos iv'e seen on YouTube, thank you so much for this!
this is amazing :') seeing this somehow makes my heart breaks a little because I'm going to college in february and I can no longer play the piano and exercise anymore. I hope you'll keep uploading videos like this to cheer myself up & others out there :)
@rnrnrnaa see if you college allows non music majors to take piano, or if they have a music program or get one of the students to help you on the side. Or find a piano close by on campus or in a nearby church. Let nothing like college stop you from pursuing your music. Perseverance
Amazing! I can'texplain how much your videos inspire me. It's truly amazing, and, being a 17-year old, I hope in the deepest of my heart, that I may one day be able to play like you!

Excellent improvisation. That piano sample has impressive tonal variation too. I like the octave runs, did Evans do that? . Reminds me of Shearing.
p1anosteve 1 month ago
@p1anosteve Shearing was the master of the block chord. That is for sure! I don't think either did a lot of runs.
