Well, remember that this is an alternate ending. Plus, her sword is manipulated by soul edge itself b/c it has a bit of it's power in the process of making it. Second, despite her good intentions and nature, she is of evil blood cause her dad is Cervantes, the original owner of soul edge. There are all these factors to consider. Now if she wasn't tainted, then that's a question to ask why she couldn't destroy the sword.
