before the new album was released caleb said they were gonna write a stadium album that was more accessible.i dont hate them for it, most bands with the potential and given the opportunity would. to an extent they've lost their southern rock/garage sound and anyone with a set of ears can't deny that. they're new album is different, i hope they continue to write songs like they're old stuff. at the same time, i hope they continue to evolve like they have done, cos thats what music is all about.

Nice sound, especially the bass and drums. KOL earned a lot of respect here in Melbourne, Australia when they contributed their time and talent to a huge concert to raise funds to help the victims of the worst bushfires in our recorded history. This all occurred in February 2009. We didn't need them, as we have plenty of great music down here, but they were most kind. Coldplay appeared at a sister concert in Sydney which The Presets ruled. SplitEnz stole the day, with reformed a Midnight Oil.
