@sorryunlucky its not just whats under the bonnet you armchair video game player, you have ZERO idea, police cars are set up to do straights fast and be able to handle very well.... like *scottishpolivevideos* said... do you know what car was chasing it, now remembering there is alot of well handling police cars that can do that job and catch a pissy mk2 gti, and that car wasnt even a gti.

I don't play video games. I know someone who outran the police in a base model MK2 Astra, he shot up a path, and down a little alley, the police didn't pursue on the alley, went around the block to get him, and he had already dumped the car. They caught him on a hair, got 18 months in jail and some more time for driving whilst disqualified.
