  • You went out your way to make this video, thankyou very much, out of all thee track dollys iv seen, This ones the most straight forward! cheers for the know how. I will be visiting wicks this weekend!

  • @autoturk cool and thanks... how did yours turn out like?

  • @justjoemusic mine turned out crap, structurally weak. plus i did my holes roughly so they were bent. so a couple of the wheels didnt even touch the tubing

  • O wow!!!! Clever!!! Nice one Joe :)

  • Hey I was on my way to get supplies to build a track dolly today and just happened upon your video.Great job,I will use the same techniques. One suggestion with the tracks would be to put two pieces of wood board under the length of each track then connect them with smaller pieces, sorta like a railroad track. This will allow you to set your track up on unlevel areas such as a hill or stairs, and outdoors.

  • @NordicRick thats a good tip there will try that out... thanks and thanks for watching! let me know how yours turns out.

  • thanks man thats great , im totaly gonna make one now :D

  • very good and very helpful

  • Nice one Joe - I love it!

Bit of a near miss with dropping the camera LOL! Good catch!

  • @rickvanman haha yea my camera has seen a lot of near misses and bumps and drops but still survives although its now a backup... Think the Panasonics are built very well really which is a good thing as I can be a bit heavy handed haha!

  • do you have any plans for this

  • @freestylefilmsinc Hi now plans as of yet, but if i get some free time i will draw some up...

  • Best dolly tut on YouTube - having watched them all. Nice work fella.

  • hi, thanks for the video. i've just finished making one so i'll post the video on here. great video thanks.

  • Hey no problem! just seen your video and its great... glad I could help :D

  • very helpful, great vid, thanx...

  • Thanks for watching armenn18.. if you make one let me know how it turns out!

  • Brilliant job fella! are your videos available to view?

  • not available just yet but will be soon...

  • I couldn't find the wheels in Argos :( Can you advise ? Nice video by the way :)

  • any inline roller skate wheels would work

  • Great video! I wonder if i take apart my old in line skates and the wheels are a bit worn if that will greatly affect the mobility of the dolly? Any input on that? I appreciate it!

  • depends how worn they are.... if there are huge chunks, dips and holes in the wheels then it will be rough and jittery but general wear should be fine.

  • the piece that goes in there is a called a slip plate or quick release! lol

  • lol yes i couldnt think of the name....

  • =P lol

  • Thats really smart, and works well!! Fair play dude!

  • Nice!

  • That was great, I have gone out and built one and t works really really well!

  • Beautiful movement, didn't even know what it was until now.

  • Thanks mate. I will be building a different version next month, it will be a bit better looking lol.

  • -]. Thats actually perfect and very smart .[-

  • thanks mate... im gonna make a couple more, paint them and make them look nice and give them away. Iv also had an idea on how to make one that looks even better and looks really professional.

  • Thanks, iv got a proper tripod dolly now, will be making a video very soon demonstrating it.

  • Great stuff, Joe...

Make me one in your spare time, please :P
