What I mean is that the Chinese do own all our debt and have the right to chase after us like bookies. And Glenn Beck was right about buying Gold. The people at SNL are not blind to that, whether they like the president or not.

But Glenn Beck remains Glenn Beck.

Can't we laugh at both sides of it?

They were basically saying, Glenn Beck was right about one single thing, so therefore he's probably right now, which is the joke.... I don't see what YOU are missing but this is pretty clear to me... They weren't actually laughing at Obama. I think Bill took that out of context. They were in fact laughing at the fact that the figure Beck gave was incorrect and he even said he didn't know if it was correct. They then poked fun at Beck and his promotion of goldline. Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review.
