Damn, you should've stuck with "Take the Time" a little longer... the way they do it live, with the funky part taken out... it's one of the best climaxes in a DT song.
@dourt NO, he's not a keyboard teacher...where did you read it? the first name displayed refers to the guy playing in the video, Andrea Luzi is his teacher! :)
You all should have a listen to Alex Argentos ego album. Im a guitarist but what he does on the keys is so relatable to a guitarists phrasing that i just sit and transcribe his stuff. Its more progressive rock/fusion , so he plays those jazzy lines that are just begging to be learned.
Can anyone explain to me what he's doing at 4:25? I tried it and it looks like he's playing and 8- 3flat-1 arpeggio that goes downwards chromatically or some similar interval pattern. Thanks.
Proffesional keboard teacher? HAHAHA, WHAT A BULLSHIT. Look at your hands, look at this terrible posture of your fingers. STRAIGHTEN FINGERS ALL THE TIME. HAHAHAHA. And you're calling yourself a teacher. Shame on you, so pathetic.
@tylkodobre On keyboards, you should keep you fingers curved because it will be more comfortable to reach a flat or sharp & you fingers wont get tired or cramped during a long piece.Even if curving your fingers is wrong (i dont know who told you that) it is best to play in a position that makes you most comfortable so you can play comfortably.PLaying keyboards isnt supposed to be a straneous or stressfull activity :(
@Otasukon Oh really? And about what Im talking all the time? Does he keep curved fingers? NO, THEY'RE STRAIGHTEN. You're right - it is the best to play in a position that makes player most comfortable. But look at his fingers. They're straigthen at all. And this is what he teaches his students? That means he's a shitty teacher, and he teaches wrong. By the way, check this out from 3:29 - Now that's an epic fail, jesus.
@tylkodobre it shouldn't matter, most classical guitarists teach you to always keep your thumb on the center of the neck when playing chords, but 80% of musicans don't do that, the same logiic can be used for proper finger positions for keyboarding, there is no right or wrong, it's whether you're comfortable playing it that way.
@tylkodobre what the,.?? he's curving his fingers as he's supposed to. It's because he's playing rock so he's using wrists so to reach flats and sharps it's easier to straighten fingers
@tylkodobre NO, he's not a keyboard teacher...where did you read it? the first name displayed refers to the guy playing in the video, Andrea Luzi is his teacher! :)
Playing a rythem melody on one keyboard at the same time you play a lead melody on another keyboard must be well complicated. Its like you gotta divide your mind into 2
do you have the nord stage hooked up to tyros through MIDI? and thats how the ensemble changes with the nord stage chords you do with left hand? or did you creat a backing track with something else?
@piejo Yeah, it's all correct, except if you wanna get really particular, LTE didn't write the ending of "Universal Mind," so add "Hoagy Carmichael - Heart and Soul" and "Julius Fucik - Entrance of the Gladiators" and you've got it : )
whats up with all the disses on this song? theres always some dickhead faggets on youtube that have to say some immature shit about good musicians. amazing video, good work. and too all you shitheads who dont have a positive comments to say about this then shut the fuck up!
The beginning sounded similar to U.K. or The Flower Kings. Loved it. At 2:48 awesome Take The Time by Dream Theater! Following that is The Dance of Eternity, Octavarium, and Hell's Kitchen. Then there's Liquid Tension Experiment's Universal Mind! Awesome Job!!
1:35 Children of bodom - lake bodom (peace of cake)... Great playing, rest i dont know what is it, but great playing realy!!You have mastered prog rock for sure!!
Wow! That was extremely good! I love the way you played bass notes on the Nord keyboard and the melody lines on the other keyboard. The synchronisation was just superb.
