  • i wishd id had 6 bullmastiffs some day and 7.5 half month bullmastiff named linda

  • Breed all about it is just terrible...

  • Worst possible leash for a bullmastiff.

  • @centwasdf OMG I KNOW!!....My old bullmastiff was on one of those as a puppy and we were gonna switch to a normal one when he was getting bigger and he saw a chipmunk and bit the leash once and broke it and got away...but we found him again lol

  • Gangster good looks makes sense... but mouth like a buffalo? Wtf does that mean? lol

  • this is fucking retarded

  • wow i hope the gangster good looks part was edited in as a joke or that would b sad...

  • @nikeg34 "Gangster good looks" is a slang term used to describe someone ruggedly handsome. It refers back to the well-dressed gangsters of the 1930's and '40's--NOT the gangsta-wannabes of today.

  • those are horrible cops if they couldnt find the bike right there...

  • the bike part was very staged

  • Gangster good looks, because they are bred by drug dealers, people who cant afford proper bodyguards.

  • its so gay to walk bullmastiff on flexy

  • reminds me of the monster dog in the sandlot movies

  • my friend used to have one called gus. he was lovely. a big softie. but once, sadly when my friend jay came round, gus accidentally nipped him because he got so excited. so he was sent to a bullmastiff farm. and he was only one.

  • Those retractable leashes are the worst thing you can put your dog on. You want a dog that pulls and doesn't listen? Get a retractable leash.. >_>

  • I hate those kinds og leashes! You have no control with those. Why do people use those things?

  • bully or rotty !~ which 1 is biggest ?????? plz tel meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • @Thushal92 Rotty defenitley.

  • @caitlinborley thanx ! dudeeeeeee!

  • Comment removed

  • @Thushal92 Actually, they are probably around the same size

  • @mistytinker13 ohhh! thanx dude!!!!!!!!!!

  • my bullmastiffs mother got a wooden bat broken over her skull and she didnt even get fazed these dogs are fucking BOSS

  • Bullmastiff and Dogue de Bordeaux are very much alike.

I know most people tell you otherwise, but its true, they're both very easy indoors , and explosive outdoors, very good watch&guard dogs, without teaching them what to look for or what to do.

Both big dogs, bordeaux are a bit bigger though.

    And really sweet

  • I am sorry but this is bull fucking shit

  • that police looks like a bullmastiff

  • yo butkas

  • @Saulbecer56 Thats right , the dog that silvester stallone has in the rocky movie is his own dog, a bullmastiff called Butkus!

  • Gotta love these dogs they are just to kool!

  • otherwise known as french mastiff

  • make a video on the dog de bordeaux

  • it's tough not respect that jaw and the massive power within it.

  • Thanks for wasting my time with the lousy ad!

  • best suburb protectors

  • "Gangster good looks"? Say what?

  • my lovley dog - i made a video

  • @drhillaryharris are you serious lol thats soo funny

  • There was more than one bike stolen actually.

  • the bike they found in the bush had a bike seat already!!!!

  • Was attacked by a bullmastiff that strayed onto my dads farm. At 15 years of age, felt like i was fighting for my life. still retain scars on my neck a decade later.

  • @N5453585 thats terrible im sorry that happened to u, but remember stray dogs pose a threat not only to farm animals but to humans aswell, when they are brought up with little or no contact with humans they retain there natural instincts. the dog that attacked u wos probably a stray or was let free or run away from a home with little or no love care and attention. these dogs are amazing beautiful animals and great companions pleased dont feel fear or hate towards them...

  • my auntie has three of them anytime i come to her house they all just attack me with hugs and kisses :3 their big teddy bears to me

  • can you crop the ears of a bull mastiff

  • @PinoyYounGster9deuce if you live in the us yes but they would look pretty stupid I'm english and where I'm from croping dog ears is ilegal though so I'm baised we think it's pretty cruel to force a dogs ears to grow unaturally

  • Doot-doo-doo-doo Hello, George!!!

  • Love the breed=)

  • i doubt the cops were really looking for a bike...

  • thts cool if u have one and u find a gun or somethin goody

  • OMIGOSH i thought a bxer looked like a giant pu/ boston terrier but these are EXACTLY like GIANT pugs!! hahah lol especially the fawn coloured ones :O

  • ha! they're the cutest!!! i love big dogs with big round heads.

  • These dawgs are wack. Doberman's are a thousand times better.

  • I loved my fathers Bullmastiff. Sargent Randall was my favorite dog growing up. And then my father moved and had to give Randall to someone who would be able to take care of him better. Oh well at least he's happy now.

  • Can anyone tell me how much does these dogs cost ?? I've always wanted Bull Mastiff or a Neopalition Mastiff and now that I have a house with a big backyard.

  • im 11 i have a bulmastiff called finaly sooo cute he one years old and already weighs 9 stone!!! hes amazingly good around me and my sister and loves to play frizbee!!! sometimes when i play football i have to play with him and hes got quite a tallent realy good natured dogs i'd like another

  • @drhillaryharris i agree! our bullmastiff knows how to clear a room

  • Stevenio...your a moron. Not all dogs were breed for a specific purpose, unless you want to consider simple looks as a "purpose". The bullmastiff is one of only 5 breeds designed specifically to protect man from man. When "on duty" the bullmastiff is peerless as a guard dog...when off duty...he is pretty lazy and not much of a guard dog. These dogs do not run from danger...in fact, things that would make other "protection" dogs yelp and run for cover..only infuriate the bullmastiff more.

  • GANGSTER GOOD LOOKS

  • Such a wonderful breed. Nothing but a huge, warm, body of love. My dad's friend had one. R.I.P. Venus :(

  • best breed hands down.

  • i love big dogs!!!!!!!!

  • wtf he said gangster good looks at the end lol

  • Ive owned ,bred and shown Bullmastiffs for 23 years with no problems whatsoever. They are an exceptionally "family orientated" breed who love to live indoors as family members. They are laid back ,friendly but are also protective if needs arise . If your Bullie barks in the night or when out in your garden then check it out . They are usually a quiet breed . My dogs only bark to alert me if something is going on .....could be someone coming to the house or a car stopping outside. Great breed

  • A life of leisure? I like this breed.

  • i need a guard dog!!!! i have a boxer and boston terrier such great dogs!! but my boston terrier is braver than my boxer lol!!!

  • @NoodlesRGewd Bullmastiff is said to be the best guard dog then a Doberman,Rottweiler,German shepherd. So many people say that German shephards are the best guard dog its not true they are the best police dogs

But you should also consider Leonberger if trained correctly these dogs can be very good Guards

    Sry for my english

  • @supermanerbestur the bullmastiff is good at gaurding people, the others are good at gaurding property

  • I've Been trying to get a Bullmastiff but my dad says they are to big for our house so I am going to show him this video - Michelle

  • @drhillaryharris hahaha yes! our bull mastiff stinks up the TV room

  • @ryanbriggs80 my bullmastif is also almost 7 months, and he does the patrol thing aswel the are just briliant dogs

  • what do there barks sound like? my neighbors have two and they whine and whine and whine and they sound like screaming children!

  • @clngogo they have a verry deep booming bark

  • does anybody know what this mikey wax chick has to do with dogs? her videos show up in the related section of pretty much every dog video i watch

  • fat ass dog

  • my buddy has one, named tonka, nicest dog ever but likes to chase the ice cream man truck lol. mastiffs are nicest dogs, but people are scared of them and always cross the street when your walking one lol.

  • I had a Bullmastiff when I was a kid. We got him after my mom's car got stolen, and a little home protection in our sketchy neighborhood. That dog, aptly named Pain, was a smooth pimp daddy of a dog if I ever saw one. Total cuddler and affection fiend, but not scared to go after somebody hanging near the house. The lady dogs (or, the bitches) seemed to like him too. And when I got older girls seemed to be attracted to a guy harnessing such raw, beastly power. AWESOME dog.

  • they're so cute!!!! i like dogs with broad round faces! I like how he was just walking about and found the bike!

  • TURNER AND HOOCH!!!!

  • @DreaVMunster no m8 turner and hooch ie hooch was a dogue de bordeaux

  • lol

the guy who narrates this video also does commentary on "maximum exposure"

  • there ugly

  • @autumn2354 and you can't spell.

  • Bullmastiff isn't a popular dog, here in Brazil.

  • theses dogs suffer with there eyes, most go blind at the age of 5 years

  • @thehomefront no they dont

  • i love bullmastiffs

  • I love bullies!!!!

  • "He's got a mouth like a buffalo, I mean I tell ya!" 2:50 ha!

  • this guys accent is starting to get on my tits...

  • lmao i love how they make out the dog went and found the bike

  • is the english mastiff that drules a hell of a lot but the bullmastiff doesent as much all mastiff breeds drule tho when they have had a drink or they are too hot if anything get a neapolitan mastiff very very nice very big but not oversized and they dont need no training to guard you and your family and your house good luck finding the right partner for you

  • @smokingmypot657 lol

neo's are probably the worst for drool and health problems

my friend dies just from taking a long walk

  • @MrSmokinitup lol nice name

really ? i allways tought it was the english mastiff was and i know the neo has heath problem due to the inbreeding i do want one tho very nice dogs

  • @smokingmypot657 hahaha

yeah man, nutin wrong wit a good smoke to start the day og kush on these sides

but yeah man, neos really are full of health problem, i honestly think, bullmastiffs are one of the healthiest mastiffs

im a sucker for american bulldogs though LOLLL, the johnsons types actually look like mastiffs, just more athletic

  • @MrSmokinitup lol

i dont smoke it anymore but i used to love it

for me tho mate a well bred neo is very nice but im a german shepherd guy and a belgian malinois

  • @smokingmypot657 hahah

the police use alsatians here, so i got a grudge against em LOL

  • @MrSmokinitup lool

the name is german shepherd your english init ? if so where from

and have you got a grudge with them because they stop you doing wrong things :P run faster lool

    nice regards

  • Great video! I just lost my bullmastiff after 10 years of companionship to bloat. Maggie will forever be missed. My grandmother breeds them, so i knew it was a possibility, but didn't expect it from Maggie. She was fine the day before. :(

  • @silentsamurai I am so sorry for your loss :( , I lost my last German shepherd Tank back in November due to cancer. My heart goes to you and your family.

  • I was pleased to hear you recommend adopting a rescue. I suggest anyone interested in connecting with reputable breeders go to the American Bullmastiff Association website where you will find listings of breeders and information about adopting from our rescue program.

  • Oh yeah, my bullmastiff definitely likes his life of leisure.

  • my brother's friend had a bullmastiff named Hoss... that dog was hilarious ^.^ very sweet, but VERY protective, had a 1/2" metal chain wrapped around a maple tree that he snapped without effort x.x lol he didnt hurt anyone tho, just scared them half to death XD

  • What's the name of the radio presenter, owner of a bullie?, This episode made me buy 3 bullies!!!!!

  • they are big and intimidating, but they are still full of love.

  • why crossbred the two when you can get a english mastiff

  • @tonyskins19 cos english mastiffs dont have the same prey drive plus they get tired after 10 minutes of action ,,the bullmastiff is a perfect example of combining 2 dogs to get a job done.lets see these bully pitts get talked about this in 100 years time ..........i think not.

  • Reminds me of my beloved, 100-pound boxer, Fritz, whom the family had when I was a child. Sweet, faithful, but ferocious

if anyone appeared to be threatening.

  • you named your dog fritzl?

  • No, my dog's name was Fritz - my mother named him Fritz. He was "pet quality," but of championship stock on both sides.

However, his size (and his build) have

always made me wonder if there weren't some other blood in his line, say, Bullmastiff or Dogue de Bordeaux.

In any event, he was a real "champion"

all the way - both in loyalty, and in intelligence, and he is STILL missed, although he died nearly half a century ago.,

  • @rockandroll4life1 than look ad the ,,,presa canario,,

  • 1:00 if my dog sees something or hears something depending on what it is he either wont come in the house until he knows what it is or he'll rush to get me inside.

  • I love how the fawn one looks like a massive pug...so cute!!

  • one of the best breeds i have a 2 year old a gentle giant, let anyone in the house when were in but come when it,s night or he,s alone in the house god help them.

  • my uncle has a female bullmastiff and she's very playful. But the drooling from this breed is one reason that it is not allowed in the house that I am living in.

  • Gorgeous! well trained too, I could never walk my American Bulldog without a pinch collar... But we're working on that!

  • I have a PYR, ;love the PYR's, but want a big dog that does not shed a lot. The Bully is so fantastic

  • my cousin also wants a tumor

  • AMAZING breed, great with kids/family, low exercise demand, great guards. shame about health problems, breeders should add blood from american bulldogs and english mastiffs to widen gene pool

  • I love Bullmastiffs they are so beautiful!!!

  • i have a pitbull mixed with bullmastiff best dog ever a male too very strong

  • Thanks for the great piece of information....it was EPIC.

  • wheres your dog then ?

  • I have had mine for over a year now. One of the best breeds I have ever had, hands down. They are very loving and gentle (for thier size). My Magnum hardly ever barks..but when he does we pay attention! Great with kids, I just can't say enough about them. Like others have said sozilizing is key with this breed. About the gas..yup they fart..and can clear a room! We have air fresheners in startegic places in the house ;) The drooling..at least with my Magnum, already at all except when feeding.

  • i have a 5 yo boxer ay d moment and would love a bully any tips intro

  • They are great gaurd dogs - just remember to well socialize or they can be aggressive - I have had several. Beware they are droolers, lots of gas, and can be stubborn - make sure to take obiedence classes

  • Are these dogs good guard dogs or not?

Anybody else who owns one can shed some light on this?

I know they score a good rating in the review here and such but so do boxers..

and they arent always good guard dogs..

Altho mine died from a seizure when he was a old pup at 2 y.o.. so maybe he might have grown into a guard dog..

but yeh , can more people with experience shed some light?

  • A dog this big will frighten anyone on site. The question you have to ask yourself is this. "would I go in that yard". I have loved this dog since I was a child and I am now 38 years old. I would NEVER walk onto a property with this dog on it with out the owner next to me. Hope this helps

  • Yeh you do have a point lol, I dont think id be very keen to step into a yard with a bullmastiff in there.

  • Here is the deal. They make good guard dogs but they aren't very good watch dogs meaning they aren't much for barkers. They will bark though if something bothers them they just don't bark at every little thing. They're very quiet for the most part. So you have to take that into consideration. But if the bully senses danger then the intruder is screwed. As most people say get them socialized as that is SUPER important with this breed. Awesome breed but stubborn. Training is key.

  • do u think a good mastiff can live with a olld scottish terrier?

  • Any dog can live with another dog if you introduce them young enough.

  • rockero you are a moron. Making a statement like that illustrates how illiterate and dumb you are... Think before you type, review it before you post it, that way whoever reads your dribble might think you actually have a brain in your fucking head... breeding enhances the natural characteristics and removes unwanted characteristics of whatever breed is being crossed.. it has nothing to do with the 'ego' of the owner... fucking idiot

  • They are not useless!!!!!!!!!!! All groups of dogs have advantages and disadvantages it is these advantages that have ensure that they are still around today as part of our lives!

I love terriers they are very small but I can appreciate the reason for wanting to own one and ego is not part of it!

  • Learn to type in english you fucking moron. And all dogs were bred for a specific purpose at one point including Bullmastiffs.

    Faggot.

  • @Stevenio Typing in a language other than English makes you a moron? We should welcome dialogue between all people, and with tools like Google translate you can post/understand others comments regardless of language. Open your mind. And name calling? Faggot? This doesn't strengthen your argument or speak highly of your character. If youtube had an 'unlike' button I'd be all over it.

People of the world, here's to dialogue and discussion. Peace.

Vi er alle folk. Bar være, spørge, lyde.

  • @Stevenio what the f*ck is your problem, an abusing mom!?!?

  • I hope a mastiff eats you, then we will see who is useless.

  • Good guards?!? That's a laugh. My family owned bullmastiffs, and all were them were anything but good guards. In fact our last bullmastiff, Annie, couldn't defend herself at all, but she was a true sweetheart.

She died last year at 10 years old.

  • you can't speak for all Bullmastiffs.that was YOUR FAMILYS DOGS!! not all bullmastiffs are gonna be like what you say they are.

  • Well it requires training there are very few dog breeds that have an absolute guarding instinct the caucasian ovcharka is an example of a dog that needs no training at all and is quite possibly the best guard dog you could ever possibly have.

  • I know!

  • if youve got one hopefully it rips you to shreds because you are one of the idiots that shouldnt own a pitty a friend of mine owned a pitty called butch who was one of the nicest dogs id met and because of idiots like you the laws in britain have changed (become stricter) and if you own one the police take it away from you and put it down he had his taken

  • Hooch!

  • Its a pity when people start talking dog fighting ,, this dog will bet that one and so on, its just pointless talking but its horrible to think of 2 dogs fighting and when you talk in this manner its looks like you condone fighting so in a public forum its not good commenting.

  • thers a load of scumbags that fight dogs in the woods behind the church by mine the police have been called by my neighbour countless times but said ther was nothing they could do other than inform a special section of the police because the normal police have no powers to deal with this witch means we have to listen to it untill they decide to do something about it and its driving me mad :(

  • At 2:48 did he REALLY say gangster good looks?? xD

  • I think the effect they were going for was 1920's era Mafia-esque gangster, not the "ghetto" gangbanger stereotype.

You know, like a gruff Godfather.

  • good point, but many staffs are still very game, and these certinly were. pits are banned over here in uk, meaning many assholes train staffs to be very aggressive, and use them in 'packs'. i saw that vid, it was good. id like to see other breeds tested...

  • p.s: it seemed in that clip that the larger, heavyer built dog (the rott) had the best bite, i wonder what would happen if they tested a very large breed like the mastiff, dogue or neo?!...

  • i would not say easily, i had a BM cross labrador and he got into a fight with TWO staffordshire terriers, and destroyed them both very quickly. i know pits r bigger than staffs but they are very similar and there was 2 of them! i hate dogfighting btw, but it showed me NOT to underestimate my dog

  • i wonder if a bullmastiff would make a good companion for a doberman, or if a Rottweiler would make a better companion. Do bullmastiff drool a lot?

  • I think they drool a bit.

Theyd both be a great buddy for your dobe

  • mastiffs go back to the romans days where they used to be pitted with lions I don't think they would surrecnder unless they knew they were at play and not a fight.. But t=yeah the largests of the mastiffs could kill a pitty in one powerful bite, but people that fight dogs are assholes and need to be killed.

  • Yea I agree, a lot of ppl think pitbulls are the badest dogs around. Pitbulls are strong for their size, but their not huge dogs and their bite isn't as powerful as a bigger dogs like a GS. I'm not a fan of dog fighting but a Bullmastiff could easily take out a pitbull. If its was built to fight a lion, a pitbull would stand no chance. And to anyone who disagrees look at a pitbull and than compare it to a 400lb lion.

  • i dont think it's the power of the pitbull that have people worried. I think it's the "uncontrollable nature" and "aggression" that make people fear them. People assume that they are naturally "EVIL" because of their fighting background. Truth is, all dogs, no matter what breed, are going to have some sort of aggression. These can all be avoided by not being an idiot, but alas, i fear that no one will ever truly accept the pitty as a good breed. which is a pity, because they're so beautiful.

  • pitbulls are not the most powerful breed

  • No one said they were.

  • is gs abbreviated for germen shepherd

  • so get a rottweiler a bull mastiff and a doberman and nobody will get into my house :)

  • Oh they'll get in just fine. Its the getting back out they'll struggle with...

  • i have a bullmastiff i have had her seven years and they are the most amazing breed

  • bullmastiffs are number 5 guard dogs , by akc.

  • who is the first one

  • doberman pinscher of course

  • Bull Mastiff 100%

  • pit bulls are faster , bullmastif have stronger bites and bodies but can surrender easily.

of course ur not gonna put them in a fight dontcha?

  • I love big dogs!

  • Amazing breed, but do not pick this as your first dog, if you're inexperienced. This will both make you and your dogs life miserable.
