Try it with Allan Holdsworth legato on a clean setting with hybrid picking instead of alternate picking every note. then we'll see how much talent is put into this lick ;)
@harryhamburger58 focus your practice time, concentrate on areas you wish to improve. Much more important than the amount of practice is the QUALITY of practice
im sorry but this video is sped up and this diminished pattern is very bad. i checked your website and am suprised your trying to make a business from this. pictures of provocative woman will not help your sales unless you are targetting 12 year old beginners which it seems to be the case. quite exploitive and disappointing.
@buddahmaster point out where the diminished pattern is, in this video. I can only see G minor. I'm sorry but you COULD learn something from this guy.
@buddahmaster It really does look like it's sped up. But it's not. I guess it's the limited frame rate of the camera that creates that effect. Thanks for commenting :)
@buddahmaster What a loser. It's guys like this that think guitar is a sport, and they declare that it's sped up when they can't fathom playing something.
I don't know how he got that impression. It feels a little weird at first but I wouldn't say it's harder. If it where, I wouldn't prefer it since making things harder for yourself seems like a stupid thing to do : ) Not having to struggle with the wood underneath the strings makes things easier. There's no friction when you bend strings. Legato is easier to do because you can really grab the strings with your fingers.
@wizardofshred Interesting. That's a great explanation. I wasn't even asking and I feel like I've came away with a better understanding, lol. Great vid!

in your opinion do you think the concaved frets make playing harder??
i saw an interview with malmsteen saying just that.
obviously if they are harder those days are long gone for u
