Why are there are a lot of seats available in Chicago-that they have sold out twice as "a band" in 2004?:

WOLFGANG is playing his parts, singing the best he can. DAVE has lowered his key, but pushes his voice—someone we love to hate must've raised expectations in VH.

EDDIE is playing with the whole weight of the band on his shoulders-and he's scorching the stage.

But us this a solo guitar act with a backing band?

Having seen him live in 2004, I'll say this is not a band without Mikey.

He's not playing the frankenstrat because the truth is he hates the thing. He admitted it way before it was even released that it was his "least" favorite guitar to play, the only reason it was replica'd is because, without a doubt, it's the most recognizable guitar he's played, coming close with the original black/white strat. It's for the money. The wolfgang guitar's play great, probably a whole lot better than the frankenstrat. That's why he's playing it.

If you are talking about the original Frankenstrat,it started out as the black/white strat on Van Halen 1 and he re-painted it red. The second most recognizable guitar is the black/yellow, Van Halen 2 guitar that is buried with Dimebag. I am not a guitarist but I have read some reviews that say the replica guitar is a piece of crap. 25k for something that should stay on the wall. I also read that the Music Man replica is an excellent guitar, but they couldn't keep up with the demand.

True....you (if you're lucky)can buy tix for 80 buck's...very limited (nose bleed)in the very top terrace. Every other seat is $150! Trust me, I tried to buy tickets for the San Diego show. I went online ready to buy right at 10 am and the $80 seats were gone! I saw them twice with Roth (Women and Children First and 1984) and I'm not spending $150 to see this version...no matter how long it's been!

Wolfie is 16 years old, he grew up with Van Halen music, he could go downstairs and listen to one of the greatest rock and roll bands ever recording there famous tracks, anybody in there right mind would be honored to make history, especially with his dad. I do agree that Micheal Anthony will be missed , his vocals alone. Yes he had some easy bass lines, but , i don't see you up there wildbilltexas, if it is so easy. Micheal Anthony is a nice guy but he wasn't a innovative or groundbreaking bass player like Chris Squire, Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee or John Entwistle. Mikey just held down the foundation for Eddie and Alex to go crazy on with simple bass lines that any good bar band musician could play.

I hope Wolfie kicks some ass on this tour! Who cares if he moves around a lot.

It would be too hard to have pre-recorded vocals because Dave's vocals are never the same from night to night. You never know how he is going to sing the chorus, therefore the backgrounds might not match.

Dude bands used canned vocals and other tapes ALL the time. The drummer has a click track he listens to that ques him when to play, then it's up to sync with the tapes and whatnot. 1-2-3 Easy as that.
