nice set up in order to thin out the oil it would have been nice of you shared tje amounts of each u ised per gallon of oil, that is the most important piece of info, i prefer to not use heat
Because you asked for suggestions, opinions, advice. As others have stated this is NOT biodiesel. That DSE stuff is junk. What you have here I think will eventually ruin an engine. While tractors and such can burn almost anything, vehicles are pickier.
For new people, there is cheaper equipment. That pump alone is $250! While it does 1080 GPH, Harbor freight sell one for about $40. It only does 360 GPH but that is enough to get the job done.
nice job man but that not called Biodiesel its called wvo same thing i use in my dump trucks but it wont run in my pickup its to thick burns the pumps out all as your doing is adding diesel additives witch dont do much im starting to make real Biodiesel with methanol and lye so i can put it in all of my trucks and equipment
you are NOT making biodiesel.. that is svo ( straight veg oil) without the heated tank plus a thinning agent... do some research and youll see why the DSE stuff is snake oil..
what micron of filtering do you use on the first one? when you first poor the oil.. and how long do your filters last for, when you have to replace them... how much dose it cost? Thanks for the vid !!
What you make will run in a diesel engine, but there is alot more to making biodiesel than merely filtering veg oil, adding kerosene/petrol and aftermarket "Magic" juices.Have a good read up about how its done properly with vegtable oil,all you are doing is making a slightly volatile fuel bulked out with veg oil,NOT diesel fuel.
This isn't a true bio-diesel setup where you are removing glycerin and using methanol to make a methyl-ester based fuel (bio-diesel) this is treated veggie oil and it's actually what I run in my truck, I use small amounts of ethanol/kerosene/powerservice supplement in mine.
actually this process does not include that step. I've heard that the bio and the glycerin needs to be seperated, but according to DSE, they say to dump it straight into the tank. Our Kubota diesel ran on this stuff straight, but we only run half diesel and half biodiesel in our Excursion.
Gasoline or alcohol can be added in small amounts to thicker fuels like veggie oil without causing damage, it does thin out the oil but increases octane which makes for harder starting.
Excellent video! 5/5. My friend converted her Mercedes 300SDL to bio, and it runs great. But she is buying soybean oil at Costco and only saving like 1$/gallon. I will show her this video and maybe make one of her car. Very informative.
The main difference is cost. This costs approx. $0.45 per gallon, while diesel costs approx. $4.00 per gallon. This fuel also lubricates your injectors better, because it is thicker. It also seems to give the engine more power, too. Cold starts may be a little rough, but after 30 seconds they run perfectly. Also, with this fuel you need to change your fuel filters more frequently. If you have any other questions, just fire away!
I am making bio with methoxide for my 97 7.3 and my 07 6.0 with no problems. but I wonder if this way is better. Have you had any problems? how long have you been running this?
Well, I would think of trading your gas powered engines or vehicles out with diesels, the long run savings would make it worth while. (that's if you really want to do that, it can be a lot of work)
Actually, with this way of making biodiesel, the fuel has a higher "octane", because of the gasoline. We've seen a performance increase, as well as quieter operation, because the fuel is thicker, and lubricates the whole engine better.

Can you please add a list of supplies you'll need in your video description and how much each one cost and where you can get them from?

Where in your process are you introducing the lye to the product? When are you letting the separation of the bio and glycerin to occur?

I have had 3 powerstrokes for the last 11 years and I have always been told to NEVER introduce gasoline into the diesel system.
My Dad has driven Ford/International diesels since the late 70s and he has never heard of a bio mix including gasoline.
What or whose system do you use (Chemicals)?

Where did you get the idea that it was ok to put GAS into a biodiesel setup???

wow, this is really amazing. nice job truely.
and its pretty funny cuz u sound just like one of my friends

Thanks! Yeah, spread the word on this! We'll show the oil companies that THEY DON'T CONTROL US!

is there any loss of engine performance when running on biodiesel
