@segroove What's the difference between a login screen with no login fields and a splash screen? Or is it just that they've made their splash screen look like a version of the login screen with no login fields?
My 1.6ghz Atom with 1GBmem, slow 4200rpm disk and Windows 7 Ultimate x32, boots just as fast. not too hard seeing they turn this book on from standby(i dont see any BIOS/EFI passing by, any loaders starting so:FAKE)Also quite funny that they don't initialize any video, how the F. do they put anything on the screen? the stuff that starts after login isn't shown, and "Random Stuff"=ROFL The initialization of the hardware/CPU/Mem is in BIOS/EFI. I can talk crap about stuff as well.so video = fake
@mstreurman all of that coming from someone that thinks his windows computer is still good. At least he is smart enough to know that in order to start a computer you (have) to see some sort of loading screen. As if the great people at Google couldn't make their own start-up (that doesn't show useless crap for end-users) on their own computer.
@mstreurman Unless, you know, they run with ARM hardware, which uses neither. The video can be initialized by the kernel, the hardware doesn't have to initialize it (which explains the lack of seeing EFI/BIOS) No one calls it x32. It's x86. The only thing that starts after login is the chromium browser. I really hate idiots who still like Windows.
Who says windows 7 is faster than XP, XP is world's fastest O.S its just the little GPU u would be having make you feel 7 faster or because of the drivers but logically and practically in worlds most of the machines XP would win the benchmark.

anyway it's irrelevant in this case, ofcouse ChromeOS would boot faster, it doesn't do anything except connect to the internet and run internet based software,
my windows 7 Pro x64 boots in 15 seconds and can then do everything that's fast enough :) even non light linux's don't boot any quicker then that
@monkey6571 Not necessarily. Basically, you just show the user the usual "enter your password" GUI, wait until the OS is done loading, then pass the password down the line. Essentially you are letting the computer work in parallel with the the user instead of in serial. It's just a convenient trick.
@csibaycity: They obviously don't plan to be windows compatible at all. This is not a new concept. It is actually very moldy concept.
see video --> jzj7STruKgQ
The iMac wasn't made to do anything except get you on the internet. It was not upgradable and you just plugged it into the power and phone line. Yes dial up remember that? Ah 1998, the first iMac was launched for noobs who wanted internet fast. The "i" in iMac stood for "Internet.". I will stick with my XP.
Hay Martin, so if I am a gamer and not just a "web gamer", how fast will Chrome OS boot Guild Wars or my up coming Guild Wars 2? I am all for speed but as it stands now I have a dual boot system. I use Linux Kubuntu for internet and Windows XP for games. If people have to install a dual boot system you should tell them if you OS is going to support their Windows apps. Dual boot systems are not the rats ass I speak from experience.
What is so powerful about mac? Unified hardware across the entire platform. Google has learned alot from android and they know that they have to push the manufactures. I see google becoming a little more strict about oems with the chromium, If you think about it really hard you might see what im talking about.
Chromium is a 3 way cross of nothing but brilliance
Linux- WAY open source
Windows- Diverse & Fairly open
Apple- uni hardware reliability & application store
It is also important to understand that the google notebook is not looking to replace your power desktop computer.. It is simply going after convenience. Light, long battery, durable reliable, and most importantly FAST. Its genius. Honestly we are witnessing another google innovation. At least they are not like apple, taking old ideas and turning them into profitable fads... You are witnessing true history. I predict this to be a huge success. Despite its rocky start.
LOL, love how everyone believes this is "new and revolutionary". This is, if not completely, Linux. Just numbed down for the computer illiterate people.
(people who dont know a thing about computers)(Joli OS is very similar)
Please do yourself a favor, and Get something worthwhile, Like a mac. or take your old crappy laptop and make it feel new, by installing a linux distro, such as Ubuntu, or Linux Mint.
Linux starts the same way windows does. Through the typical bootloader that we have had for years now.
Google has built something new from the ground up. New bios -> to browser as efficient as possible. I believe there are only 2 root causes of hatred towards others in humans.. You have been wronged in some way, or simply jealousy. 99% of people fall in the later. Call it numbed down if it makes you feel better. However I suspect that, behind googles mac like facade, lies power using bliss.
just wondering, maybe instead of using a user name and password to login, you could of a fingerprint reader or maybe a RFID tag of some kind to login...
Thank's for that Al. Now back to Tim the "toolman" Taylor.
So Google OS will modify the underlying BIOS and hardware to do these things ? Or will they work with hardware manufacturers to provide these capabilities at the hardware level? Or will they publish standards that hardware manufactures will decide whethere to take up or not.?
that's a big setback, convert our personal computers to simple terminals like many years ago, with the difference... instad you run DOS it will run ChromeOS stuck of google's products
This is great for my grandparents but it's not for me. I want to be able to install programs on my machine and keep files locally. Not *everything* needs to be in the cloud. Even with super-fast internet, there is a still a significant delay over local storage. Lastly, hard drives are quickly becoming a thing of the past. I have a 550MB/s 3rd gen SSD and my Windows 7 boots up almost as fast this Chromium demo, plus I only ever sleep it anyway so startup time is mostly irrelevant to me.
@Leopardgecko502 Simple: you won't. You won't torrent, you won't hack, you won't program, you won't design buildings, or use alternate browsers; you won't use non-corporate-America approved video codes, or install a new plugin until Google releases it's biannual grocery-story-themed update, and you definitely, certainly, will be paying for everything, because it's not your computer anymore - it belongs to a corporation, and now they can farm you for every penny you're worth. Sharecropping 2.0.
Not hard to make any PC boot up in under 10 seconds.
It's just preparing it - booting to factory settings, have no unnecessary hardware in. Then go to the Settings and turn off splash screens, and turn on quick booting.
All you can do on Windows & Unix. Though not sure on that apple rubbish.
The question is, After a few days is it really going to boot up in 10 seconds still? Nope.
I downloaded this for my desktop and I got it to boot really fast, except that no matter what I do its not recognizing my WIFI PLEASE HELPPPPP I WANT THIS!!!!
if it helps my chip thingie is a broadcom 440x adapter or something like that
on my desktop running ubuntu 11.04. i can boot in about 10 secs and the another further 3 seconds to login then open chrome web-browser (it depends on how fast i can typ my password)
Like me, the guy''s English, and, because he's an engineer, he talks fast and doesn't bother altering his regional accent - he isn't some corporate clone. Google let their engineers speak, thinking (rightly) it's better to hear things from the horse's mouth. Some listeners might find they talk a bit fast, a bit awkwardly, or with a (for them) strange accent. Small price to pay. Just LISTEN.
The only start up applications I have on my laptop is, Catalyst Control Centre and my Anti-Virus. Thats it. Nothing else. Then I can get into my browser (Google Chrome) in about 3 seconds once its booted. During boot it lasts about 10-15 seconds then im in.
@K1ngWart Bad troll is bad. It's part of the login screen which hasn't been loaded completely yet. It's not a blocking object and loading continues while being shown (unlike your BIOS screen for example).
@K1ngWart The "splash screen" you saw was the "google" loading before the login boxes on the login page. What they mean by "splash screen" is an animation of the company logo, simply for aesthetic purposes, while you wait for your programs to load, etc.
My Linux Ubuntu is ready in about 18 seconds. This is such a marketing nonsense trick. Don't buy into it. They should release it for free to the public so you can do the following:
Dual Boot using the alternative media button into checking your mail and stuff.
The only thing that makes this fast is Solid State. Put Ubuntu Linux on Solid State and it's the same deal.
"Let's get rid of splash screens" lol there's the goodle splash screen upon login in the demo... LOL
Thise who know anything about computing, they know that this Chromium OS is just a cheap rip off of Linux. You can install some Linux Distributions to do just about anything you want, which is what Google did here. I would be my dog and cat's life this is Linux-Based and that someone can develop another Free Linux Distro, just as fast and with all the juice of a true operating system, without having Google store all your files for you online and your life's details... LOL... idiots.
@TheSeandroid Partially right, Mac OS is still relying on every single thing he describes, They just hide it from plain sight. And fine, most Mac's dont have antivirus, but that's about all you're saving on.
To defend both Mac and PC though, if you do need versatility and power, a SSD drive will deliver sickeningly fast boot and launch times. Most of the time is wasted on the harddisk.
My Windows 7 PC boots up and loads Firefox 4 in less than 7 seconds (with a fast SSD). The truth is most Windows PCs boot slowly because HDDs are slow, and HDDs are slow because NTFS is slow. Loading thousands of tiny and potentially fragmented files physically all over a physical disk is the primary cause.
DONT LIKE IT!!! UNLESS ITS A BUNCH OF CHINESE/ASIAN AND INDIANS WORKING ON IT ITS NONSENSE!! WE HARDCORE SOFTWARE ENGINEERS THAT SWEAT FOR THEIR BUCKS!!
Ok, while I love most of Google's products and ideas (including this one), I must say it's pretty damn useless. Who are they trying to target and sell this to? Oh look at me, I can't wait an extra fucking 30s or even 2 minutes, so I'm gonna spend an extra $300+ just to buy a laptop with Chrome OS installed, where you have NO DATA saved on your PC, so you're fucked when u need to do offline work, and u can't play games or run any decent apps like Microsoft Office on it. GREAT! +1
@MrShadowz1337 The answer you're looking for is... yet. HTML5 allows for offline storage and a few web pages / web applications are beginning to leverage this. WebGL allows for hardware accelerated 3d and such. Javascript today performs very close to native compute speeds. The web platform is ready for the kinds of software you're talking about, and it only got there this year really. So stay tuned for some interesting software to come out on the web...
@shuntsu Ya....and is this "exclusive" to the Chrome OS? No. We have been able to 95% of all that for years. Those stuff you mentioned, are mainly related to the internet browsers themselves, such as Firefox or Google Chrome. There's not a single thing that is exclusive to the "Chrome OS" itself that makes it different from Windows or Mac. Other than starting up just 30s faster (which makes no difference), and having a low storage space (coz it uses SSD) which "may" not store ur offline files.
Can you change the behavior of opening and closing the lid. I personally think the "Close the lid, turn off the computer" is one of the STUPIDEST default settings that seems to be found on every laptop computer. It is probably THE first thing I change when dealing with a new laptop, or setting up someone else's.
And I agree about the "boot time" being a non-issue except for the computer-illiterate and noobs. My systems are on 24/7, or in the case of laptop, come out of Standby in a few secs.
@TimmyCrackCorn It's probably to encourage users to shut their computers off more, go "green". Also, it'll prevent your computer from being used by viruses that even literate computer users wouldn't notice. And mainly these are being marketed towards "noobs", computer-illiterate, or traveling users because they don't care about any other bells and whistles other than the internet. So for your Windows operated computers the default should be standby, that's what I put on all of mine. Not Chrome.
If people wanted speed on a dysfunctional OS they'd already be using Android and iOS on things much smaller and cheaper than computers. Google Chrome = iOS/Android for PC's.
I don't know why they're focusing so hard on boot time and things like that with chromium OS, because it really isn't an issue with any of my machines. With a traditional OS, they boot really fast, get on the net fast.. it's never been a problem. NOt to mention that it's not much of a time saver when you're not turning your system off and on constantly.
U all make fun of these guys presentation skills. They went to school to build bad ass softwarez and compz, not to make presentations on utube. So stfu!!!
That seem sooooo slow compared to my iPad.... I just pick it up and it's working. What's with all this old fashioned shutting down and starting up with chromiumos?
@frogofsoap You can do that too...you can do the same thing on this as with your ipad. Leave it on all the time and plug it in when you need to and it will boot in under a second.
instead of watching this god-awful overview, watch the new one... it's everything we hoped for :) youtube(dot)com/watch?v=0QRO3gKj3qw (remember to replace the word "dot" wrapped with parentheses with an actual "." not sure why it wouldn't post until I did that...)
worst demo ever. change the guy, upgrade the graphics.... i love Google and am embarrassed that this video made it to your channel. anybody else think the same?
@lhnh1 While that would be great in theory, tablets and cellphones really don't have the kind of power that a computer has. Also, the Chromium OS is designed for people who really only use their computer for internet access and not much else. Most people do. And most things people use non-internet programs, there are plenty of cloud alternatives that work just as well.
You could make log-on quicker by making the power button a biometric reading device? maybe? So when you press the power button its already verifying that its you.
It's definitely a unique concepts that ties in with Google's goal of Cloud dominance but.... what about privacy? Do I really want google to know/track my browsing habits? There is an 'incognito' browser mode but just how anonymous is that feature?
@fsck66 they do it anyway. If you just use google to search for something and have google as your default search engine they have access to all that anyway. its how they make money...
o and one more thing you are changing hardware to fit your OS instead of the OS to fit the hardware, is that a bit like getting a to cut to the size of your shoe, why not get a bigger pair? if your car is to small and you don't fit in to it what do you do change the car or buy a custom seat, but you don't cut a bit from your neck or something, try to make Chorme OS for all existing PC, not the PC's for the OS,
@VladuRazvan i agree, i have triple boot windows, mac, linux. i want to add chromium os to that list, and i wish i could just take all the parts of the operateing systems and mix them together. ex: the look of mac os x and the dock, the compatibility of windows, the price of linux (free!), and the speed of chromium os. that would be the best operating system for me. the problem is the normal consumer doesnt even know about chromim or linux or anything but windows or mac. most of the time...
@VladuRazvan ...rich people go after mac and poor/frugal people go windows. smart people go for mac, windows, and linux and some people go for just linux. really smart people should take some features from each os and mix them. but that will never happen. apple and microsoft make alot of money and dont care about how we feel about the product as long as we buy it.
others don't make them as well, with competition is like reinventing the wheel allover just because of company secrets, what about humanity as one, a baby dose not know right from rong but we teach the baby the right way, it's the right way from our experience so we pass it on, what if we did that with software as well, google is helping on that a lot by makeing it opensource, but the sad part is it's trying to build it on linux, that in my opinion lost the OS race long a go,
why dose everything in this world have to be a competition my product is better than X, why not help the X company make it better, if Y boots quicker then X but X uses resources better then Y, why not add the Y benefits to the X and get the best that there can be, ex: first man in space Russian, first man on the moon US, but the rover on mars is made by the us with help from the russian's. the only difference between us and the monkey is that we can put down on paper our mistakes so that ...
it's not the boot time that is the problem it's the noise HDD noise for example solution SDD, cooler noise solution water cooling moved outside the room or the house, blinking led on the monitor buy a LG my has a deactivate on the light as for the PC leds you can take the wires of your mainboard look it up in the manual of your mainboard, as for reg files windows 7 is way better at them then earlier versions, in stead of fighting Microsoft, why not help make windows better ?
sad part is I cant go to my mail faster then a second because I cant react that quick
as for the loading time if that's your problem do what I do since 2006 my PC is gets shut down only when the electric company decides to cut the electricity, that's my fault since I dont have a UPS, when I press the monitor power button presto instant desktop, If you want to make computers better make them energy efficient cut down on power, and make drivers so that any hardware not used shuts down until needed
@SaleTelekom i looked up apples specs, compared the price well for the exact same specs i can pay $300 for a win 7 dell laptop that matches the specs lawl, and for the mac they fucking put it at $2500
@SaleTelekom I see you misspelled a word. Its written "with" not "than". Anyways, macs dont slow down at all. The only crappy thing is when they "think", but you never have to restore them or look for viruses or even turn them off for that matter. And the best part there is no old school registry to clutter and slow your computer
Hope that this will work. Of coarse you are limited in applications. But: no boring pop ups of new software, no continuous slow down over the years.
Concerning privacy: How much people are aware of spyware? As long as you are connected to the internet someone can look into your PC without knowledege.
If a remotely supervised device can manage to prevent this, takes over full responsibility for its correct operation and guarantees user data only to use for statistical purpose it would be great.
So basically chrome does not have Antivirus, and splash screen, which is pretty beautiful on Windows 7. And no, you don't need to login twice in website, you can just click remember the password (In case you didn't know).
Why the hell does it weigh 650 megs?! Our team is developing a similar experimental distro that boots into X completely in about 5 seconds using kernel-embedded ramdrive technology + busybox and some lightning-fast boot scripts (including network start) but it weighs 88.2 MB only, and that's still in debugging stage - there are lots of unused fonts and artwork now so the size wll slightly decrease in final build. So why is Chromium OS so heavy if it doesn't even support traditional HDs?

i kind of think this is the wrong way to go... how about making external keyboards/mice/monitors (+complete docks) for the android phones/tablets? i'm sure the tegra2 phones are more powerful than the cr-48 notebook. wouldn't it make more sense to start up extra functions (or the whole OS) when connecting them, thus only leaving you with a phone (+docking station if needed) to carry around? to be honest, i'm using my phone to watch movies and play games on my tv already (galaxy s tv out).
It would be nice to have Chrome OS for my future netbook (or my desktop, if my android phone is not in my pocket), but i want to be able to play old, light-weight games on it as well. it looks like i'll be needing to dual-boot windows, which you won't let us? At the very least make sure there are steam/onlive/spotify apps for it.
I would only get an OS like that if I don't have to do anything within that time. But I do. Take a shower, do something. Everytime I wake up and decide to use my XP PC, I always begin to shower first whil it boots up. It boots in 1:30 min, so it is already at the login screen when I'm out. Speed is to the person: Not everyone likes fast speed, especially a user below me.
And since your data is not on "your device", you're 100% dependent on a corporations data management, that could shutdown for randsom reasons i.e. by governmental order.
Your IT relies on the avilability of the Internet (we've seen whats possible in Egypt recently).
A nice must-pay-situation. It's great! Get your net-pc and pray that Google won't be taken over by Chinoogle, Monsanto, the Illuminaty or whoever.
@MillyVanillification You know, you could always setup your own server and cloud system (EyeOS, etc) and then gain the advantages of the cloud (access anywhere, constant backups, synchronization) while retaining privacy and full control of your data.
Besides, laptop hard drives die a LOT more often than internet connections die for an entire country.
I dont need to be fast. In my life it's important that I'm able to get myself a cup of coffee while the machine is booting. I don't see a reason why people's life should pass away even faster than it already does. You're not living anymore, you're only chasing "time-wasting" issues while your live happens without your participation. bloody stupid tech-lovers.
i have a traditional harddrive rather than a solid state drive on my netbook. would anyone still recommend me trying chromium on it. (this netbook is not m primary computer.)
@JoseJimeniz it seems like chrome os will only be run on chrome-only notebooks. the cr-48 is the only one available so far, unless you virtualize the OS.
SSDs are amazing, so guess what? I got one on my DESKTOP COMPUTER. This OS is a fantastic idea, but it's limiting itself to only being as fast as the internet allows it.
It's true that everyone spends MOST of their time on the computer, but what happens when you need to use Photoshop for a second, to send a client a mock up work? I'm really disappointed in how the iPad's classification as a computer has started to make other manufacturers begin to think everything needs to be simple.
So... at 3:14... That's not a splash screen to remind you that Google made the OS, right?

Despite its rocky start.
z3alious 4 months ago
LOL, love how everyone believes this is "new and revolutionary". This is, if not completely, Linux. Just numbed down for the computer illiterate people.
(people who dont know a thing about computers)(Joli OS is very similar)
Please do yourself a favor, and Get something worthwhile, Like a mac. or take your old crappy laptop and make it feel new, by installing a linux distro, such as Ubuntu, or Linux Mint.
ColdDesigner 4 months ago
Linux starts the same way windows does. Through the typical bootloader that we have had for years now.
Google has built something new from the ground up. New bios -> to browser as efficient as possible. I believe there are only 2 root causes of hatred towards others in humans.. You have been wronged in some way, or simply jealousy. 99% of people fall in the later. Call it numbed down if it makes you feel better. However I suspect that, behind googles mac like facade, lies power using bliss.

So Google OS will modify the underlying BIOS and hardware to do these things ? Or will they work with hardware manufacturers to provide these capabilities at the hardware level? Or will they publish standards that hardware manufactures will decide whethere to take up or not.?
The last one I guess?

Nope.
I yet to put Chromium to the physical test!

LOL... idiots.

TheSeandroid 7 months ago

GREAT! +1
MrShadowz1337 7 months ago
@MrShadowz1337 The answer you're looking for is... yet. HTML5 allows for offline storage and a few web pages / web applications are beginning to leverage this. WebGL allows for hardware accelerated 3d and such. Javascript today performs very close to native compute speeds. The web platform is ready for the kinds of software you're talking about, and it only got there this year really. So stay tuned for some interesting software to come out on the web...
shuntsu 7 months ago
@shuntsu Ya....and is this "exclusive" to the Chrome OS? No. We have been able to 95% of all that for years. Those stuff you mentioned, are mainly related to the internet browsers themselves, such as Firefox or Google Chrome. There's not a single thing that is exclusive to the "Chrome OS" itself that makes it different from Windows or Mac. Other than starting up just 30s faster (which makes no difference), and having a low storage space (coz it uses SSD) which "may" not store ur offline files.
MrShadowz1337 7 months ago

Can you change the behavior of opening and closing the lid. I personally think the "Close the lid, turn off the computer" is one of the STUPIDEST default settings that seems to be found on every laptop computer. It is probably THE first thing I change when dealing with a new laptop, or setting up someone else's.
And I agree about the "boot time" being a non-issue except for the computer-illiterate and noobs. My systems are on 24/7, or in the case of laptop, come out of Standby in a few secs.
TimmyCrackCorn 8 months ago
@TimmyCrackCorn It's probably to encourage users to shut their computers off more, go "green". Also, it'll prevent your computer from being used by viruses that even literate computer users wouldn't notice. And mainly these are being marketed towards "noobs", computer-illiterate, or traveling users because they don't care about any other bells and whistles other than the internet. So for your Windows operated computers the default should be standby, that's what I put on all of mine. Not Chrome.

I don't know why they're focusing so hard on boot time and things like that with chromium OS, because it really isn't an issue with any of my machines. With a traditional OS, they boot really fast, get on the net fast.. it's never been a problem. NOt to mention that it's not much of a time saver when you're not turning your system off and on constantly.

lhnh1 9 months ago 5
@lhnh1 While that would be great in theory, tablets and cellphones really don't have the kind of power that a computer has. Also, the Chromium OS is designed for people who really only use their computer for internet access and not much else. Most people do. And most things people use non-internet programs, there are plenty of cloud alternatives that work just as well.

o and one more thing you are changing hardware to fit your OS instead of the OS to fit the hardware, is that a bit like getting a to cut to the size of your shoe, why not get a bigger pair? if your car is to small and you don't fit in to it what do you do change the car or buy a custom seat, but you don't cut a bit from your neck or something, try to make Chorme OS for all existing PC, not the PC's for the OS,
VladuRazvan 9 months ago
@VladuRazvan i agree, i have triple boot windows, mac, linux. i want to add chromium os to that list, and i wish i could just take all the parts of the operateing systems and mix them together. ex: the look of mac os x and the dock, the compatibility of windows, the price of linux (free!), and the speed of chromium os. that would be the best operating system for me. the problem is the normal consumer doesnt even know about chromim or linux or anything but windows or mac. most of the time...
bestpctips 9 months ago 2
@VladuRazvan ...rich people go after mac and poor/frugal people go windows. smart people go for mac, windows, and linux and some people go for just linux. really smart people should take some features from each os and mix them. but that will never happen. apple and microsoft make alot of money and dont care about how we feel about the product as long as we buy it.
bestpctips 9 months ago
others don't make them as well, with competition is like reinventing the wheel allover just because of company secrets, what about humanity as one, a baby dose not know right from rong but we teach the baby the right way, it's the right way from our experience so we pass it on, what if we did that with software as well, google is helping on that a lot by makeing it opensource, but the sad part is it's trying to build it on linux, that in my opinion lost the OS race long a go,
VladuRazvan 9 months ago
why dose everything in this world have to be a competition my product is better than X, why not help the X company make it better, if Y boots quicker then X but X uses resources better then Y, why not add the Y benefits to the X and get the best that there can be, ex: first man in space Russian, first man on the moon US, but the rover on mars is made by the us with help from the russian's. the only difference between us and the monkey is that we can put down on paper our mistakes so that ...

Concerning privacy: How much people are aware of spyware? As long as you are connected to the internet someone can look into your PC without knowledege.
If a remotely supervised device can manage to prevent this, takes over full responsibility for its correct operation and guarantees user data only to use for statistical purpose it would be great.

So why is Chromium OS so heavy if it doesn't even support traditional HDs?

@wyattpruitt5789 The BIOS does it, then Linux probes the hardware itself.
Chrome OS just says "fuck this" and calls the Linux kernel directly. There's custom firmware, no legacy BIOS.

i kind of think this is the wrong way to go... how about making external keyboards/mice/monitors (+complete docks) for the android phones/tablets? i'm sure the tegra2 phones are more powerful than the cr-48 notebook. wouldn't it make more sense to start up extra functions (or the whole OS) when connecting them, thus only leaving you with a phone (+docking station if needed) to carry around? to be honest, i'm using my phone to watch movies and play games on my tv already (galaxy s tv out).
kungharry 1 year ago
It would be nice to have Chrome OS for my future netbook (or my desktop, if my android phone is not in my pocket), but i want to be able to play old, light-weight games on it as well. it looks like i'll be needing to dual-boot windows, which you won't let us? At the very least make sure there are steam/onlive/spotify apps for it.
kungharry 1 year ago

You're not living anymore, you're only chasing "time-wasting" issues while your live happens without your participation. bloody stupid tech-lovers.

"Appliance device, so we already know the hardware"? How do you know what hardware is on my PC?
