  • @vdubwinkie It's a mobile dyno...you can take it anywhere and quickly set it up for dyno pulls. Perfect for car shows, club gatherings, etc.

  • Too many folks say it's better to go with a V8. I can dispute that claim with some benefits the 2.3T still has.

    Many dirt cheap stock parts from other cars are considered and upgrade (T3 compressor from Grand Nat, Ranger or 2.3 Mustang roller cam, Turbocoupe rear end with disk brakes and LSD, etc.) and you only have half the plugs, wires, pistons, manifolds and pipes for problem diagnosis and/or repair.

  • @Swagman00 that to me is priceless. When I look at engine swaps to do that is something I look for. Outrageous economy. Performance part increases with junk yard prices. WTF else do you want?

  • @fuxbox Jap ricers are completely different than these engines, we make v8 like power, more tq than hp in most cases or even hp/tq compared to how imports make way more hp than tq. Regardless, sounds like we'll agree to disagree lol.

  • @StingerPerformance i have a question, i own a 1986 mustang svo and my dad owns a 84 and he said that the pistons from you have a common affect of seazing the engine and id like to buy those the intercooler and bigger injectors. any recommendations?

  • @brannon86svo Not sure how your dad came to that conclusion since CP's are the best pistons on the market for a 2.3T. Only way they would seize would be if the block was bored too small. If that was the case, other forged pistons would do it even worse because CP's expand less than lesser quality forged pistons because they use a higher quality alloy. You may be best off emailing us for specific questions.

  • @StingerPerformance the shop in vegas called dynomax bored and honed my block for the cp's they took measurements of the pistons and bored it... it seized...

  • @fuxbox i bet you with what ever v8 you have the 302 maybe a bored 302-331 or 347 that with half the cylinders and only 3 things done to an svo it will keep with if not beat your v8 depending on whats done to it.

  • Flowmaster 40 series. Not ideal for a turbo engine but it did sound good. I run Magnaflow straight through mufflers on everything now.

  • GT and LX engines are the same so that's not a big deal. Intercooler kit, 3" exhaust kit, k&n cone, and a boost controller should handle him without issue.

  • so, what all is done to the car? ive got a 92 4cyl, and plan on doing a complete drivetrain swap from a 88' Turbo coupe. with a 3'' exhaust, better header and T3. sound decent?

  • It wasn't all that modded, NPR intercooler, ranger cam, T3, home ported intake, head, and e6 manifold, 3" exhaust and a k&n filter.

  • Where did you see the name stinger mustang? Stinger Performance is the name of my company and we sell Mustang parts, that's the only reference to stinger mustang I know of.

  • I have an 88 thunderbird TC that im wanting to have a bit more power. I do plan on buying some parts from you here pretty soon. Is there anything i need to know or am i going to get all the power i need out of bolt-ons? Im aiming to outrun my buddys slightly modded mustang gt.

  • Well, I don't know if you mean 87-93 GT or the later GT but regardless, assuming you are a capable driver, have a 5 speed, and your engine is in good shape mechanically, you can go low 13's/high 12's with a full arsenal of bolt-ons which should be plenty to outrun a slightly modded GT (normally run high 13's/low 14's).

  • Hes got an 89 SSP which is an old police interceptor. Its a GT engine in a LX body. My car is a 5 speed, in great shape, and i like to think im a worthy driver though i still need to learn my car. Its already fun, but i want bragging rights. :P

  • Yeah, the typical cold air/headers modded 5.0's didn't have a chance. Looking back though, this car wasn't all that fast compared to what we've built since.

  • Lots and lots of parts. ECU, wireing harness, turbo, fuel injectors, and the list goes on. People say it's easy but honestly it really isn't. Is it still worth it? Yeah it is.
