Great !!!So I'm not the only passionate person for the FYEO car, and james Bond and all that. How will you fix it to your car? I have an idea, so you won't have to drill holes into the body work, yet it will stay secure. My system is a little further than yours, but not on the car yet. I will post a video soon.
Do you know these magic mats that you can put on the dashboard and stick your cellphone to it? ;-) this and some cleverly placed angle-irons should do the trick.
Not recommended for speeding on the Autobahn, but should be safe for cruising speeds.
I am not planning to use the Esprit for the winter vacation anyway, but I want to display the ski rack at a classic cars show this Saturday. See the link: classicdays*dot*de

Drilling holes in a Lotus is a no no!
