For about 4 years, I was friends with a community of skins, and the dialogue comes from the time I spent with them. When I moved out of state, I left them behind, but I've never forgotten the music, the work ethic, & the times we had as a group.

During that 4 yrs, I also had the good fortune to see all sides of the people I knew: the good, the bad, & the ugly.

As a world traveler, I never fail to be amazed by what people feel they have to do to survive, & how we get thru the worst of it all.

It's taken a while (I'm recovering from fibromyalgia), but it's a story that's been on my mind for years, & I believe in it & hope putting it into the world will help prejudices be dispelled & working-class solidarity be celebrated.
