They didn't intend it to be a rip off though.

The story was originally something else, then when that story wasen't working, it just evolved into what it is now.

They made an effort to make sure that it felt different. Yes, its a good movie. :-)

Bolt was a good movie, and if you like Pixar, then you should know that John Lasseter was the executive producer of Bolt.
