  • what graphic card you have in jour mac intel 3000?

  • I hope that LOTRO will run smoothly on my macbook air 11.6in 2010 im getting

  • Don't waste your money and get a MacBook Pro with 4GB ram it's soo smooth it's beautiful and games like assassins creed can be played on either medium or high settings! I'm not telling you to buy the MB Pro apposed to the MB Air but it's just a recommendation if you want to play games like cod or assassins creed

  • was this at minimum graphics kinda obvious but wanna make sure

  • does it get loud if you´re playing???

  • Does 11 inch game SMOOTHLY? And how is this laptop's battery life?

  • @Kingddd333 You can use Macbook air 7h

  • Ive got the macbook air 13" and ive installed games like angrybirds, minecraft, team fortress 2 and some other appstore games :) to everyone reading this i would definetely reccomend this laptop :)

  • @11dannad im chancing from pc to mac, should i buy this (i travel a little bit). of course used cause i dont have like a 1500 dollars :D

  • @BulletInYourAssz yes its a very good laptop and is also very light so easy to manouver about but the only downside is that it might get stolen if your travelling abroad etc. im only 14 so i dont know what it would be like for older people :/ but overall i would change from a pc to mac :)

  • @11dannad im from finland so i dont think they stole em in here like in the states, and im only 13 but my dad lives like a 320 miles away from me and i go there by train often :D

  • @BulletInYourAssz im from the UK and nobody really steals them here only people abroad steal them :)

  • i keep my 17 inch on my lap..

  • @THEPM15 thats what she said XD

  • @InhabitantOfOddworld don't judge me i was tired xDDD

  • i need help every time i type it scrolls the page down

  • right click.....?

  • IN SOVIET RUSSIA GAME PLAYS YOU:DDD

  • You set all on low?

  • nice video, but im not really into mac. Im always stayed with towers, works everytime :D

  • Does this handle games better then the intel GPU on the 2011 model?

  • @anil2

Possibly, but I suggest getting a Mac-book Pro (despite being more expensive) it outperforms the Air in almost every aspect. Or if your tight on money you can still get a nice Windows PC that performs the same - or better at a fraction of the cost. I suggest searching online for some good computers. Good deals too.

  • @JLXZ83 I cant be dealing with another windows pc to be honest. Although i must admit i was tempted by the samsung series 7 as its very similar to the macbook pro. I think i'l be going for the Macbook Iro 15 2011 model as there some good deals on Apple Refurb.

  • surely with the launch of onlive this is irrelevant now?

  • ram is soldered to the mobo but they might just mean change the 2gb mobo for a 4gb mobo but i ordered mine with 4gb no point fucking around if ur goin to buy a Mac go all out as much a possible cause with there prices its a investment for the so u can sell it when the next version coming out. so far iv had starcraft 2 and spore running on my 2010 macbook air but havent bothered installing windows on it yet so no many games

  • Thnx great VIDEO!

  • Your accent is the only reason I kept watching.

  • @VEME2716 :D

  • can you play any game on macbook air using bootcamp

  • try GTA 4....the macbook air will crash because it will be that laggy.....

    apple arent designed for games.....

  • @2009razza no retard its just that is isnt powerful enough to run the game, but with a mac pro u probably can

  • @mclmatty yeah i know that but why call me a retard...do you even know what it means.......

  • @2009razza And GTA4 isn't designed for PC either. It's a console game, that was half-assedly ported to the PC. If it doesn't work well on a Mac, I'm not surprised...

  • Mac Books LLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLLOLLLOLOLOLOLOL

  • intel ha ha

  • Great review thanks

  • SSD makes all things great.

  • could you run arma 2, and just cause 2 on the bottom line 2gb sdram version?

  • thanks for the review. i just got the new macbook air with the 1.8 GHz processor. I love it so far. Do you know how other games would run on it by any chance? What about Bioshock, or Civ 5? There are so many game options. Im not a big gamer but I want one to start off with and am not sure which to get first. What do you recommend?

  • :-)

  • do u have the 64 gb

  • How much FPS can you get playing minecraft? thank you!

  • the in-game texture is just so bad. I guess this would hurt the eyes less when playing with this setting on the 11'' air.

  • Oy Muy Goid! haha epic accent.

  • iMuc, Apulstore :D

  • Glad to hear more fellow Scots on here. (:

Pleased to see that it runs games. (: Thanks. :D

  • How Did You Download This To Play On Mac And Would There Be A Gaming Difference Between This 13.3 Inch And The 11 Inch Air ?

  • What setting and how many fps ?

  • everyone listen! it's from the mac app store, that's how he got it. he could also play mw2 if he installed windows using boot camp.

  • How did you install it without the cd drive?

  • @CloverLOLZ Its called Steam!

  • Can you add it on steam?

  • how did you install it without the cd drive?

  • WTF at 5:42???? :D

  • la traduction en français est pourri

  • @MrWonnabee calm down son, its a computer. No need to get worked up about it. You don't want me telling your mummy, she'll take that machine right off you for a month.

  • @MrWonnabee stupid nerd

  • I also think that you are gonna frying the PC with that type of gaming, course, a 320m GFX is nooooot not not DEFENTLY NOT good for gaming. THE GFX is for allround use, like, Internet, Word, but NOT GAMING! ITS SUCKS FOR GAMING!

  • @MrWonnabee Nvidia doesnt make graphics cards for the Internet or Word. They make graphics cards for gaming. Yeah, it will work, but obviously you don't buy a Macbook air as a gaming desktop replacement.

  • Its looks fake... its really looks like that U have recorded it earlier on a better PC, and then just pasted it! huh?

  • why dont u use a mouse fag

  • i love how at like 0:45 when he says how smooth its runs, it lags for a bit... lol, nice review thou

  • @krasav4ik82 don't want to check that shitty review. Thanks but no thanks

  • Can MacBook runs games, oh, old games

  • DUDE HELP ME OUT!! I GOT THE MAXED OUT 13" MACBOOK SECONDHAND FROM SOMEONE ON EBAY AND ITS HELLA SLOW ON GAMING! ITS NOWHERENEAR AS FAST AS IT IS IN AL THE DEMOS ON YOUTUBE, WHAT CAN I DO?

  • Can you try modern warfare 2?

  • just think one moment. If you buy a cheaper notebook, wich has way better performance and a better design, you could feed some poor kids in afrika with the money you saved, by not buying the useless shit from apple

  • @webgier Oh, so you post this stupid troll shit on every Mac video. Oh Apple haters. :D

  • @Speedogg 138 of course i am a apple hater, because its useless and expensive shit. If they change this on day i wil get a apple lover

  • @webgier Oh, I apologize, I didn't realize the computers used for some of the biggest movie studios including Pixar was useless. Silly me. :)

  • @Speedogg138 And now you think they use them because of the performance? You can buy a cheaper computer with windows and you are able to install every shit in the world and the performance will be better too. I meen, a macbook pro 13 inch starts at $1199, what the fuck i could buy a dell with a killer performance a better display and awesome speakers. I am not a dell fan, they are also too expensive some times

  • @webgier Yes, that is is fact why they use them. The performance. Why would these big studios spend more money on a computer with less performance? They wouldn't. Also, my degree is in Computer Information Systems so don't even kid yourself with "YOU COULD BUILD A WINDOWS PC WITH THE SAME PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY FOR A LOT LESS!" Spec a computer out on Newegg. Let's make one comparable to a 21.5" iMac. Go find all the parts and come back and tell me that they are way overpriced.

  • @Speedogg138 buy a dell xps 8300

  • @webgier Did you even look that up before you posted that? If you configure a Dell XPS 8300 with a wireless mouse and keyboard, 22" HD monitor, etc. to make it have the same Specs as an iMac, not only does it cost almost EXACTLY the same (costs MORE if I use a Student discount for Apple), but you get Dell quality, AND it is not an All-in-one. Man, Apple sure seemed overpriced there! Not.

  • @Speedogg138 cpu and gpu are better at dell. Who the hell needs a all in one computer. And you almost everytime a 10% discount at dell. for the computer and sometimes also 10% for the display

  • @webgier And the screen is better on the iMac and the build quality is FAR better. Now we are splitting hairs. All this proving that the whole "Macs are overpriced" line is a load of BS. Also, lots of people without room for a tower need an All-in-one.

  • @Speedogg138 you can tell me what you want, but it is just impossible, that a imac is better than a normal tower pc. there is not enought space for high performance components in the all in one thing. I have lots of iMacs at my school and i dont see any positive thing in it. The only thing the apple products have is the style and even this is not that good. Its useless to talk about this stuff i know i am right, and you think you are right no matter what someone will say here

  • @webgier You deleterd your comment after probably realizing how utterly stupid it sounded, so I'll post it so we can discuss: "you can tell me what you want, but it is just impossible, that a imac is better than a normal tower pc. there is not enought space for high performance components in the all in one thing. I have lots of iMacs at my school and i dont see any positive thing in it..." Sill me, making a point based on "facts and data" not just "I DON'T CARE WHAT U SAY I AM RIGHT! :(" Cheers!

  • @Speedogg138 i didnt delete it, and i dot see any facts of you. The only thing that might be ok on the imac is the screen but else nothing.

  • @webgier What about the fact that you can in fact get the same specs in an Apple computer AND a MUCH better build quality for the same price or very similar? I've shown that and you ignore that fact. Unibody Aluminum vs. Plastic. Glass screen vs. Plastic. Also, you are right, you didn't delete it. Youtube just did not show it until now.

  • @Speedogg138 thats what i get for similar components $2,499.00 from apple. and you want to tell me, the imac is better. And by the way why cant i see anywhere what cpu there is in the macs. i5 od i7 is not enough information for me

  • @webgier Those figures compare the 21.5" iMac at $1200 to the XPS that comes out to right around $1100 with the same configuration. How are you confused? Also, Apple.com CLEARLY states all of their specs on it's "Buy Now" pages. You must just be having a hard time coping with the fact that "MACS ARE OVERPRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET" line is not true. It's OK, a lot of PC fanboys get pissed when presented with actual facts and stats too.

  • @Speedogg138 sorry, bt i dont know how you come to this price. the xps dont has the same configurations like the imac. only the $2,499.00 has the same configurations like the 1100 xps except the display. I can do what i want buy all i see is a $1,199.00 with a bad cpu, a bad gpu and a high price. And why the hell you have to pay 200 $ more for just 4 gb of ram more. Sorry, but i dont see any similar configuration for this price, please explain what there is the same.

  • @webgier I don't know, why not ask dell why they charge $220 for 6GB of RAM? Perhaps because you can upgrade them as well as the iMacs much cheaper yourself? Now, you said 8300, vs. 21.5 iMac: Both have Quad Core i5 processors, The iMac has a higher-end ATI card with less VRAM, the Dell has a lower end NVIDIA. Both have 22" HD displays. The dell has 6GB of RAM pre-installed, just beating the iMacs 4GB. Factor in the lesser quality screen, build quality, and lack of bluetooth. Prices compare.

  • @Speedogg138 and the fact that the way macs work, 4gb ram on mac is equivalent to about 7gb ram on windows 7 and nearly 12gb ram on vista because windows has so much shit going on in the background that you dont see

  • @Baynham3 I wouldn't even say that, but I know what you mean. I think what webgier is forgetting is that for many years all I dealt with is PCs. They never gave me any big problems. For the 2 years prior to this year I used Windows 7 and caught not a single virus! However, that being said, there simply no truth the the "Macs are overpriced" argument. Actually the only truth would be in something like the Air or Mini AT THE END OF IT'S REFRESH CYCLE. Other than that it's total BS.

  • @Speedogg138 yh i exaggerated a bit, 4gb on mac would be closer to about 5 on pc, but the reason is there are a lot of processes going on windows and not as many on mac which is why macs dont get as hot in general use and run smoother because it doesnt have to deal with so much. its kind of like running to somewhere like if you take a longer complex route then you will use more energy and be more tired than if you take a straight route. you get to the same place jus less messing around

  • @Speedogg138 but then 7 runs alot more similarly to mac where as vista was a shit piece

  • @Baynham3 I never had a problem with Vista either. :D It isn't the OS that makes me like Mac more. In fact this iMac I type on has OSX Snow Leopard, Windows 7, Windows XP, AND Ubuntu on it. OSX and Windows are VERY similar. You pay for quality. My Omega Seamaster watch cost $2000. I can tell time with a $20 Timex. So Timex is the much better value right? Goodness no. :)

  • @Speedogg138 your of a very exclusive group not to had problems with vista xD but i went with mac because i had so many problems with windows.it was £500 (around $800) computer i had a full virus protection thing then i came off youtube and when i opened up browser again, all virus things vanished and over ran my computer with all sorts, so i gt a new harddrive and started anew, more problems. mac build quality is way superior and snow leopard is jus so much better than any windows iv ever used

  • @Speedogg138 btw nice watch, my dads got a gold omega worth about £2000 ($4000) and they are lovely watches definitely worth the money :)

  • @webgier Also, where did you get $2,499 from!? If I configured an iMac with $2,499, it would DESTROY an XPS 8300. O_o

  • @Speedogg138 maybe you dindt look at the specs of the 8300, but what you say is in now way possible. There is no configuration of the imac, that would make it better than the dell pc. The $2,499.00 is a imac 27 inch configuration, that is similar to the xps. And if i ty the best possible configuration it would cost $2,899.00 for an imac with the original hard drive. The xps with highest specs costs $1,747.99 with almost the same spces as the imac. besides, the imac only has a mobile ati edition.

  • @webgier If you can't understand it at this point, is there really a need to continue? For $1200 you can get a comparable iMac, or Dell (though the Dell will be missing features like bluetooth, HD webcam and microphone and not have nearly the build quality or screen quality of the iMac.) That's the tough fact. No matter how you don't want to see it, that's it. You might even note that the Dell doesn't even offer a 27" screen. Dell does offer a separate screen at the same resolution though: $1049

  • @Speedogg138 yes thats true. Except of photographers and designers no ohne need s this screen. But i also said somewhere at the beginning, that i am no dell fan. They are also to expensive, they are like a little apple. Thats the reason why i dont buy a pc from dell. If you configure your compter your self it will be much cheaper and at the end you also will have enough money for a 27" display^^.

  • @webgier And unless you are a gamer, you don't need a high end graphics card. If you build a PC yourself, it is ALSO in the same ballpark. The misconception is that Apple is overpriced. They are not. They are competitively priced. Also, a 27" screen at 2560x1440 will easily cost you $1000 just in the monitor, THEN start building the computer. PCs (windows/linux based) as well as Apple computers have their place, and neither, whether pre-made or made yourself, are overpriced.

  • @Speedogg138 comparing the 8300 with the imac, apple maybe not too expensive for his specs. But i still have to say. the gpu in the imac is only the mobile version, what makes it worse. But there is a big difference in the notebooks. The macbook pro $2,549.00 the dell xps 15 with same specs $1,569.99. And now you cant come with a better display, because the dell display is better.

  • @webgier Again, you are talking about 2 different quality machines. Even Engadget said the dell felt cheap and flexed with mild pressure. The battery life on the 15" macbook pro with a core i7(which is $1,700, NOT some ridiculous number that you stated) DESTROYS the Dell. Over 3 hours more! The glass trackpad on the Apple with it's multi-touch, again, DESTROYS the one on the 15. The ability to run Windows and OSX doesn't even exist on the Dell. Customer Support annihilates Dell as well.

  • @Speedogg138The dell has one and it does what it has to do. Yeyou get a macpro starting fros m 1800 but it has a worse cpu worse gpu worse ram than the dell configuration. You barely can configure the dell to get this high with the price and the macpro starts with it. Besides i had also heard this rumors about the xps, but i stil bought it and its not what they say, i liked the design and the screen definitly better than the mac, also there are awesome speakers. By the way, the dell has 8 hours.

  • @webgier No, it isn't rumors, see, that was enGadget's review of it in which they gave it a 3.5 as opposed to the Macbook Pro's 4. They tested the battery life. They got 3-4 with the dell and 7-8 with the MBP. I have no idea where you are getting these prices, but in the real world, the hard fact is that the prices are very similar. If you want a Windows laptop, by all means get it. If you want an Apple, by all means, get it, but don't say that "MACS ARE OVERPRICED!" when twice I disproved that.

  • @Speedogg138 The price is from the apple.com site. I configured a mac that is similar to the configrations of the apple product, why is it difficult to see, that the price that appears on the dell site isnt that high, as the price that apears on the apple site. Please tell me. And i had the xps 15 and i can tell you, there is definitly more than 3-4 by surfing and hearing some musik, so it doesnt interestme, what someone said. btw could you give me the link to his test, beacuse i cant find it.

  • @webgier You have got to be configuring the 2 wrong. engadget(dot)com/2011/05/23/dell-xps-15z-review/ The summary pretty much sums up their thoughts: "It's no lighter, thinner or particularly better armed than the competition" Another line I note: "But let's get this out of the way right now: though the XPS 15z most definitely looks like a MacBook Pro and sports similar materials, you'll wind up disappointed if you're expecting the same exacting attention to detail. "

  • @Speedogg138 ohh^^, now i know where the problem was. i dindt meant the xps 15z i meant xps 15 l502x. The dell you have seen in the review is a cheap remake of mixture betwenn macbook pro and air.

  • @webgier Ok, now with that one, laptopreview clocks that at 4.5 hours and a MBP at 8.5 hours for their tests. It almost seems that you get what you pay for. Isn't that weird?

  • @webgier And, in addition, Laptop mag compared this dell, at their configuration of $1500 to a MBP. The MBP won all but 2 tests and DOMINATED most. It DOMINATED in boot time, battery life, 3DMark, won in the file transfer test, transcoding, and 2 heat tests, tied in 2 heat tests and only lost at the gaming and PCMark vantage tests. If you want a gaming PC though, get one. I use consoles for that stuff. :)

  • @Speedogg138 yeah heat is a problem i think. I send mine back because the fan was too noisy. But you see the dell was good in the important sections except of the batterie, but it was very good for a notebook. I dont really wanted it for gaming, i wanted it because of the core for 3d software or photoshop things and some other things and for that i need a powerful machine, not a stylish thing that does a lot of cool things.

  • @webgier The Mackbook Pro won the 3D test.

  • @Speedogg138 But you may have seen, that both has diffrent specs. The dell has a better display, better ram, better hard drive, a bluray drive i think and then you have to look at the price of both. And even with the worse cpu the dell seams not that bad except of the battery. Btw the macbook pro may be only won this test, because of the better cpu. Order a dell with the same core like the mac and dell wins because you have a better onboard gpu with this cpu (Intel HD Graphics 3000)

  • @webgier Dells don't last very long that's the only thing they would be super awesome if the did though

  • @sweetlitlangel why souldnt they last long, or why should a mac last longer. Apple isnt a good company in the past they built the ipod with a batterie so, that it only last for 1 year and you would have to buy a new one. Why should they have changed. If they wouldnt last long, all the labs and science institutes wouldnt use them.

  • hey bro can u try on HoN :D

  • Sounds like Soap doing the review.

  • will it be the same on the regular macbook?

  • @FBMiami in the macbook its better talking about the 2,4 core 2 duo with 4 gb or ram.the game runs great but there are problems when playing modern combat domination from gameloft so i had to play it in my imac

    .

  • Graphics are nice! But i will buy Mac Book Pro 13 inches (like my cock), i5,4GB Ram,HD 3000.Also a beast:)

  • ssd doesn't help game performance, but yes your system is waaay more responsive!

  • Comment removed

  • This is so friggin' incredible!

  • i luv this guy's accent

  • @Th3Thr33M3n one of our teachers has this accent

  • @Th3Thr33M3n what???

  • do u play this on highest settings?

  • cant understand with that accent

  • @ikathan26 would you prefer a hindu person from india? :P lol. to each his own

  • Is that an anti glare display? Cant tell.

  • im guessing ur from glasgow. Scotland all the way.

  • where is the video where i can save money? lool

  • will this macbook air 2011 be able to play bootcamp and play mmorpg's smoothly? (note i know this is 2010 model but since 2011 is better, will it be better for gaming)

  • Graphics in Gta Vice City ...

  • Now you can get smeared on a crispity, crunchity, over-priced monitor, noob.

  • Craig Ferguson makes a good damn review!

  • can it play all games like cod black ops, gta 4, n other games wid better graphics cause i m thinkin of buying it

  • @Honeysingh555 no, no it can't

  • can mw be installed on leopard not in windows?

  • @3399A YES.

  • @LIVESNiiP4XBL

get the base 13" MBP (macbook pro) very good :)

or get the MBPr (macbook porn) XD

  • I don' think the SSD is the helper... I think it's the Nvidia 320M...

  • @Killery96

no, SSD does help as well, it loads all your texture and level faster, result in more stable fps, yes, 320M is the main reason MBA is capable of gaming, but SSD is also one of the reason

it's been proven that the new MBP 13inch ( 2011 ) lost to MBA in gaming

  • I play portal on my 13" with 2gb memory, it's pretty choppy at times, especially when it saves, but it's usually pretty smooth. This is done with everything set to medium settings.

  • I want a macbook pro because I want my laptops to have volume I dont want something so light that I might crush it by putting it in a bag or something. But the heat difference is what gets me. I know the pro is better in performance as far as I know but I wont be playing games like this. I do maplestory, allods, etc. small stuff. But my question is, with the macbook pro, is there an easy way to keep it cool to have on my lap when I play?

  • hehe..cool accent man. I am in Pearl, Mississippi, U.S.A. i get tired of hearing yankees and rednecks. am I surprised to see that the Air can play cod4. sweet.

  • If you run GTA IV on it, i will buy it......

  • @dixxczr you can, but rockstar haven't made it for mac so you will have to install windows on it.

  • What was the details of the game ?? High?

  • Are you from Norway ?

  • @ICanHelpYou96 What are you talking about? He is the most obvious Scot in the world mate...

  • You know if in the 11" macbook air you can play

  • wicked review mate. very helpful. you should work for apple lad

  • @bif714 cheers bud, glad it helped

  • @theunits3 you can install windows games on mac how are they torrents????

  • I love your accent, lol, it made this video 10x better
