  • wow it looks like it has even less kick that a regular ar 15. who would have though that was even possible.

  • Did he say $2300? A great value?! Whoa!

  • OH YEA! and your also running a 20" barrel...so you not benifiting from the collapsible stock too much.

  • @clap5

the stock is not so much to make the gun shorter, as much as to allow the stock to adapt to the size of the shooter

  • @GunWebsites

I ment mostly for the folding aspect of it.

  • Con's: stuck with there stock, handguards, charging handle, and price.

  • This thing is a piece of shit dont be fooled by the crooks at Para, they have the worst customer service evern

  • Barrel twist is 1:9, gas system still lets gas and fouling into the receiver, and you want how much for it? Is there a way of getting an auto sear to function in the platform?

  • @GunWebsites Hey GW, This rifle seems to be very accurate, but maybe over-engineered. What was your opinion having handled many DI and piston rifles? I guess I want to know if you think it is worth the price.

  • @CombatMasterpiece

    not IMO

  • For 2300? I'll save the money and throw rocks.

  • is it "litterally like shooting airsoft"-Todd Jarret????

  • I think ill stick to BCM DD LMT

  • dont get this gun dudes its a peice of shit. wish i woulda just got an lwrc or an lmt for that price.

  • It is ALSO NOT Accurate Bite off of the AK-47's Gas chamber's design.

The gas leaving at the top of the barrel makes it WOBBLE

  • Get a Rock River !

  • what a mess...everybody has their own design...and I woud say that maybe two or three of these designs will make it. Good Luck

  • I really don't understand the salivation over all these different proprietary upper systems for ridiculous amounts of money... These things are evolving faster than computers these days... blink and they are out of date! The things are fleeting fashion statements these days as much as they are actual tools to launch projectiles.

  • @FrenziedCalm this ones been around for A LONG time...

  • can i just get that stock?

  • Para is nice, but WAY overpriced

  • Folding stock looks beefy, unlike a lot of those I've tried. Might have to give this one a chance as we ride in vehicals 90% of the time and I'm always geting poked and catching mine on things.

Unless someone out there knows of better ones? ....

  • @BadBunnyRides 'Mounted ops' is exactly where this weapon shines, as a number of my colleagues (and myself) have not yet found a better option for ease and speed of deployment from confined spaces. The stock itself (which is actually manufactured by YHM) is the #1 reason we all like it so much. If you're used to riding with an m4, you'll get almost an extra foot of 'swing'.. Shoot one as you're shopping around, and you'll like it even more.. respectfully...

  • @FTW20ten Back home in a few weeks, going to try one the day after I get back. They really had me with the 16.5 in Chrome lined barrel and only 7.8 pounds vs mine that wieghs in (no mods) at 8.5 (30 rnd mag in). I'm grinning because you and I both know that weapons seem to tripple their weight by the end of a 12-16 hour "work day".

Another question couldn't find the answer to; does the folding stock lock in place when folded? played the vid here 100 times and cant see if it does or not....

  • Why can't somebody make a gas piston AR variant for around $1000.00?

  • @JERMBUGS Stag arms otherwise do what I did and custom build your own. Mine is work maybe 1500 with all the shit on it but I paid maybe 1200. Wait for sales and get good stuff. I waited a year for parts to be on sale and what not.

  • @JERMBUGS S&W does, the SIG 556 Classic is close too

  • hermit the frog :P

  • DI guns just work, they have for over 50 years. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

  • @MrSteney Except for that whole time they didn't work, and they then fixed it.

  • Why is it almost all the comments for this vid are people sayin they would take the SCAR over the TTR??? I have operated both systems, and the TTR is far superior...way less recoil than a scar (faster follow-ups), AR ergonomics (familiar battery of arms & NONRECIPROCATING charging handle), and the aluminum stock provides for a very tight lockup and can be used as a hammer for entry & 'social work'.. There is a reason Todd Jarrett and Rob Leatham shoot TTRs in competition, they r fast n smooth..

  • @FTW20ten it is about price range, and also the customer service, alot of people are having problems with Para's customer service, once you buy the rifle you are on your own. My range buddy bought one and the op rod broke on it. Para wont send you the piece you have to send your rifle in and last time i checked his has been at Para for over 2 months.

  • @acotton3901 I can defiitely see your point about the price and customer service issues, but I was focusing on the seemingly endless number of people comparing it to the scar in my previous comment, and IMO, there is no comparison (and yes, I own a TTR, but also have hours behind the trigger of a scar). For those looking for a very reliable, user-serviceable, and less expensive 5.56 platform, I would suggest a good ole DI BCM midlength upper (which will also shoot circles around the scar)..

  • @FTW20ten Wow I never believed I could have a civilized conversation on youtube, truth be told I believe it all comes down to personal preference. While I agree that different guns have different inert accuracies, comfortability with the weapon can marginally make up for it. i can out shoot most people's ar-15 with my ar-180b even though the ar-180 statistically isn't as accurate as the ar-15. Unless it is a HBAR most people struggle to keep up. I am simply more comfortable with the ar-180,

  • @acotton3901 You are sooo right, civilized discussion is way too scarce around here lately, and yours is immensely appreciated. We are in agreement concerning the importance of individual preferences and the associated ease of use (resulting from either pure ergonomics or trained-in muscle memory). Flat out, the best weapon system is the one that runs best for you and your needs.. BTW, much respect for showing 'em how its done with that 180b!!

  • @FTW20ten Ha I catch a lot of flak for using it until I out shoot them using it, I also get a lot of heckling for the polymer lower, which I don't understand with the admiration that the SCAR and ACR get . I'm sure I could shoot a more recent design just as well with some practice, but I am a strong believer in K.I.S.S. and the ar-180 is a very robust simple design, which makes me can't wait for the new Armalite ar-180c that is suppose to be in development.

  • @acotton3901 K.I.S.S. is always a smart approach, especially when you're livin under murphy's law like I am.. Wow, I didn't know they may be going to bring a new 180 variant to market, thats pretty cool!!.. Yeah, on the polymer lower thing, its funny now how we're seeing a return in interest to polymers, but I sure have faith in them..in fact I'm currently buying a few polymer ar lowers from PCF (PLUMCRAZYFIRARMS on here). I just put a vid up of a pistol where the steel gave b4 the composite.lol

  • I'd rather get a ruger 556 and two Century arms ak74s.

  • I like how after he said the price, he GTFO.

  • it is a nice looking 556 rifle but the price point is way too high. Other than the combo gas piston system, it is really pretty much a standard ar.

  • Do you or any other viewers have any extensive experience shooting this particular weapon (TTR), I've read and heard some pretty discouraging things about, it is it true?

My Army buddy wants to get it because of the delayed gas system/low recoil advertised, I keep telling him to buy LWRCi like I did, but no, he wants the PARA.

    Thank you for your time,

    Matt

  • Did he not know how to release mag?

  • That is one ugly stock. it woulda been cool if u can somehow put a magpul stock instead

  • That is one ugly stock

  • that is an UGLY stock, also why get that? you could get a Colt ar 15 and a piston conversion for 1700 total and get 2k of NICE rounds or get the Ruger ar 15 and get 3k of nice rounds, this is not a very good value, rather sucky if i do say so my self

  • how did the recoil compare whith a tradisional ar style rifle?

  • Para bought the rights from ZM. The rifles are exactly the same thing. If you call ZM they give you the Para phone number to order one. Great rifle and pre-Obama I paid $1600 for mine under the ZM name. I love the rifle but a lot of my friends don't like the stock. My local gun dealer says he can get them for $1900 and online I am seeing them for around $1850.

  • I sense a disturbance in the force: As if a million souls cried out, " $2,300 !?!? "

  • $2,300 i think i just buy some cans of coke

  • Maybe not that exact one, but I really like the stock idea. Combining the adjustable length with a folding design. Anyone else make a dual functioning stock like that?

  • @lostburro ZMweapons made uppers and full rifles that looked almost exactly like that a couple years back. I think it was called LR300. they were also pricey though too IIRC. I wonder if these guys just bought the patent or something.

  • Not sure who did the engineering on that design but I can't say that it really impressed me. For $2300 I'll pick up a scar 17.

  • Is the foldable stock california legal?

  • @thorington

    CA PC 12276.1,a,1,C and 12276.1,a,6,A

HOWEVER, SOME "target" rifles have some exemptions. Not sure what actually qualifies as a "target" rifle in the State of Confusion.

  • Value lol, they need to drop the price around 800 to 1500 than i might buy

  • Drop it down to 1500 range and would be a cool alternative AR.

  • $2,300 for a "target" rifle? Let us all say it together, bs :) Better be full auto for that $ :)

  • $2300.00!!! ill take a noveske thanks...

  • 2300 DOLLARS!! WOW....Yeah I was all hot and bothered when they introduced it...then I considered carrier tilt and the extra friction that piston would have...When he anounced the price....well....its not for me....

  • @Jeenyus1983 It's not a piston design and there's no buffer so there would be no carrier tilt.

  • 2 plus grand? I know its been said before but no way

  • how again is $2300 a good value? Cool idea and all but way too much.

  • It's a nice looking rifle. But for that kind of scratch, I'd go with a FDE SCAR instead...

  • lol first i thoughet taht it was a softair gun

  • I like how they say "our" like they, and not ZM Weapons, invented it. Made me chuckle.

  • Decent little weapon but $2,300.00??? For how many? LOL

  • @NavyMedicUSMC well that's a bit high for what he quoted. I've seen them for $1700.00. it really is practically recoiless and just as reliable. I guess he's quoting msrp.

  • @NavyMedicUSMC agreed, id rather get a scar for that price...

  • @NavyMedicUSMC yeah and that spring captured by rod shit looks fragile , let alone those little wings hanging off the back of the cut off bolt

  • @gijoegotogo Yeah, I'd be afraid I'd break something. LOL

  • @NavyMedicUSMC This thing is a POS. Check out my Para Fail vid. Double fire and Jams. Save yer money folks

  • @Waverip11 Cool. Thanks.

  • The DIGS system does seem interesting. But, the price makes it a non-starter as far as my budget is concerned.

  • the stock looks like it's bending around 3:07

  • sexy

  • a pretty good value... sure...

  • yeah 2300 dollars way too much

  • Seems like a cool idea but, I've handled several and do not like them at all, especially for the price.

    The stock is terrible.

  • looks nice but not for that price, nice vid.

  • this rifle has the most problems of any rifle i ever heard! the wasr10 more reliable than this!
