  • give me onee pleease I dont have so much money! :D

  • dear uploader will it work if my bike doesnt have rear dumpers

  • I want to ride one just because the Beatles did in their Ticket To Ride music video.

  • ist das wirklich gaaaaaaanz anders als mit rädern? und wenn ja, schwerer?

  • No way dude, these gaaanz are made specifically for skibiking. They do use DH mountain bike suspension parts though. They are lighter than DH bikes too at about 27 pounds. Pretty fun for sure.

  • ski bike is the best 4-ever =).....

  • considering that they us a descent full suspension MTB frame. And front shocks plus the skis the price is okay a Full suspension MTB issent cheap/

  • Not sure who rents in Utah but these are the joints that allow them- Beaver Mountain,

    Brian Head, Powder Mountain.

  • What ski resorts in Utah have them or allow them? I want to rent one and give it a try.

  • These bikes are not mass-produced in a factory in China. They are individually built by hand to order. They cost the same as any quality hand built downhill mountain bike. The Rock Shox forks themselves are $600. People who are into downhilll mountain biking know that durable quality parts are expensive. You get what you pay for.

  • Got to test one of these today. Gotta say they were superfun but the prices are so high that I would never even think of getting one. Cheapest was 690€ and it sucked! First good one was well over 1000€ .... No thanks.

  • That is the nice thing about used bikes. Sooner or later there will be a bunch available that way just like bicycles that start off at many thousands of dollars. Keeping an eye out could reward someone who really wants one but can't spring for a new one.

  • @lenzsportbikes So that makes it ok to make them so expensive. So one day we can all get used ones. ;-)

  • @coolhandluke330 Fortunately we are getting lots of people who can get one. Might be a while before they'll turn one loose though.

  • why are they so expensive

  • They are built like mountain bicycles and use mtb components and if you like the good stuff just the shocks can cost you 2G.

  • @stoneyman09 if u have already a mountain bike buy the conversion kit

  • My feet have never gotten tired or sore using snowboard boots. That's even after a hard day in the moguls. Devin uses snowboard boots too. He's a mogul masher on Mary Jane. Incredible to watch.

Not every ski resort allows ski bikes. American Ski-Bike Assoc is trying to change that. Homebuilt bikes have more of an acceptance challenge. They have to show safe construction to resorts. Matt Hanson sells conversion kits at AlpineSkiBikes.

  • Hey, i was wondering how much would it cost to convert my DH bike into a ski bike. And do the ski resorts allow ski-bikes everywhere?

  • Do the arches of your feet get sore or tired from riding on those pegs?

  • The pegs are almost as big as some of the bug bmx and DH pedals so they support your foot really well. So no they don't hurt your arches.

  • Ski bikes are allowed at Winter Park, A-Basin, Snowmass, Telluride, Durango, Steamboat, Keystone, Buttermilk in Colorado.

  • You can do anything on these ski bikes that you can do on skis - backflips, barrel rolls....... The freestyle mountain bike crowd and the downhill mtn bike crowd are taking these on. DH mtn bikes ain't cheap either.

This video is a little newer Youtube.com/watch?v=NJ9hlf1DZ5g

  • This looks like so much fun! I really need to find cheaper hobbies, though. Maybe walking...birdwatching...origami....

  • Yeah the only problem is finding a ski resort that allows these...

  • once you can reduce the cost to manufacture these things to $400 you'll become one of wal-mart's bitch suppliers, but making mils

  • jesus.... just ski and snowboard and quit trying to act different. this shit looks stupid with very little room for progression which is the fun part of snow sports in the first place. if you were good at skiing or riding you wouldnt be on these weird snow bikes. lame

  • @BRECKnKEYsteeze

this idea in itself is progression... good on them for undertaking the risk associated with new product development and creating a new sport.

its haters like you, without open-mindedness nor creativity, that get stuck behind a desk their entire lives.

  • I've been riding the bikes for two years now - no fork corrosion. We've had a fleet at Winter Park Resort for two years now - no corrosion. The main maintenance is keeping the ski properly tuned.

You should see Devin Lenz ride in moguls - smooth as silk. I'm still working on my own mogul riding.

Devin made a freestyle model this summer. If you like mtn bike freestyle - it's your model. Devin does ship to Canada.

  • This is just like DH,Just in winter..=D

  • you could hit the bunnys like woops haha, anyway whens the giveaway

  • I saw that you were using boxxer and bomber forks..with all the snow (which melts into water) doesnt it quickly corrode the fork? Im super into mountian biking and I just found out how to keep doing it through winter!!!

  • ive found its much much cheaper to make your own. then you get more out of it

  • i wanna see em take one of those fuckers down some thick moguls

  • Comment removed

  • hi guys!!!i need help.how cm is the skis in this skibike?bicayse i have a downhill bike and i want take skis.thanks

  • good luck in powder..

  • @rider642 I've actually made one of these for myself (without spending more than 30 dollars) and I was amazed how well it did in powder!

  • now if anyone is going to build some skibike-northshore i'll definatly buy one of these...

  • hey man... just built one last week and it's super easy. If you contact me, I'll let you know how to do it real easy and well (not the wood 2x4 bullshit you find online.) I raced mine in a red bull sled contest and had the best time. Took it to the terrain park afterward and I was a...

  • slope celeb for the day. These things are so much fun and so easy to ride... I learned ho to do a 180* skid stop the third time down the mountain and haven't fallen off the thing yet. Plus when you get to the bottom and spin out just before the lift line, everybody's jaw drops in line and asks you where you bought it...

  • (at which point you get to tell them you built it) email me if you want, i'll send you pics and instructions. trickey.3 @buckeyemail. osu. edu (no spaces, just did that to prevent it from becoming a link)

  • I wish Holiday Valley in NY would let people ride these. I fabricate my own bikes, but i am forced to trespass or hike up sled hills if i want to ride mine. Anyone know a place in the east that allows ski bikes? I'm from OH.

  • There are places in the East that allow ski bikes.

If you haven't already, I would ask this at the Yahoo Groups Skibike Forum.

  • how to make a bad song worse add bag pipes.. most places iv'e snowboarded don't allow snowbikes and if they did it was only on a few little runs.. saw i guy out on one didn't look like he was having too much fun

  • You're sure a bag of joy.

  • haha, nice response, Devin.... some people are clueless, eh? Can't wait to get on one of your skibikes... the best design around.

  • hahahaah funny

  • @solidbbmx I love bag pipes.

Hey Devin, the ski bike instruction business has been booming the past few weeks. Your bikes are getting drooled on up at Winter Park.

I need some pointers for bumps riding.

  • @solidbbmx when snowboards first came out they weren't allowed on the mountain either

  • @solidbbmx And yet here you are watching this video and commenting, which betrays your underlying fascination with ski biking.

Don't fight it, brother, get ya a ski bike and have fun.

Oh, and bagpipes are awesome -- in controlled doses.

  • @solidbbmx too bad for you. I live near two ski resorts and both allow snowbikes on every run.

  • can u give me the specs on the mounting brakets to the skis

  • are these aloud in mammoth parks

like public parks and can you bring a homemade one or are they not aloud please reply!!

  • @XxXDevilRejectsXxX You'll have to call the hill to find out if they are allowed. Every ski area is different on their rules and regulations.

  • Något för dig Westerlund? =)

  • nice bike

  • sick

  • Do you need any ankle support like snowboard boots or something like that or can you ware any type off boots you want

  • It helps to have ankle support but you can ride with most any snow specific boot. Most people do ride them in snowboard boots.

  • Thanks man i just wasn't sure about it

  • I learned how to ride these bikes this season and can say they are the only thing that will get me off my snowboard. Winter Park now offers lessons for these bikes. You can rent them through the Private Lessons desk once you've earned a Type II bike license.

Devin demo's these bikes around the Front Range so, you might be able to try one that way too.

The bikes are lightweight and have well thought out construction. I love the bikes with front and rear suspension.

  • i think i might like this better than snowboarding how much do these things cost

  • I've always wanted to try skiing but it scares me....this does not!

  • i want one!!!! 'where do i get this ??

  • You can go to Lenz Sport direct.

  • wats the price on one of those

  • The Lenz bikes are from $1750.00 to $3000.00 depending on what you get. There are cheaper bikes out there, but they are well... cheap.

  • WTF 1750 fuckin dollars?!! do u mean175?

  • @HammerProduction

no, they litterally are almost 2 grand. the front shock alone is like $600 plus the frame, rear shock which is also very expensive, and 2 full on skis.

  • @HammerProduction any high end bike is going to cost 2grand...

  • @lenzsportbikes holy crap i could bye the sled up on top of my street with that $3000and its a good racing sled

  • sh*t, i cant decide whether to buy one of these or snowscoot...both look like fun but i can afford only one :/

  • depends on if u like more motor or biking ;) ill prolly go with the scooter
