Its on the LP "A Swingin Safari" ;type that in on youtube to check out the cover. This song along with his other greatsare on the LP. My mother has the LP which I often played when in my teens. I love it still and occasionally borrow it from her. I'd say she might accept a cool million to part with it. I haven't tried to get another record;perhaps your local music retail outlet may be able to order it. Let me know if you need any info off the record cover.

the sound quality is not too good on this record I prefer the one by "draadnagels"
the Quality much richer so please put back the that video which was removed
as Musical Taste differs from person to person.I use to listen to it over & over again.
& loved the Stereo Quality which brings out the true sound.

The song was written by Bert as a homage for Herb Alpert & The Tijunana Brass.

@10nus58
I don't know about that, but I like Alpert version of the song, which is called "Magic Trumpet"
completely different feeling, from basically same melody.

Why does this sound exactly like "Mexican Road"
Labaron26 3 years ago
Why do I know this as "The Magic Trumpet"?
Mudimush 3 years ago
Herb Alpert's rendition of The Happy Trumpet was renamed to The Magic Trumpet. He also added to it to make it his own. :)

It was also done to a marching beat as well.

this is one of my favorite song. I love the trumpet and the trombone they are excellent. This is bert kaempfert style and his orchestra.

Bert Kaempfert had a jazz band in Germany during World War 2, much to the dismay of the Fuehrer.
