good landing, good approach. 172s are built to take throttle bumps, rough landings (which this is not), etc., which is why they're being used by student pilots at most flying schools. So quit using your ppl to take away from the fun this guy's having, and appreciate him throwing the video up.

High on final, becoming slightly low before touchdown. A little left of lineup. OK 2-wire. Nice touchdown :0) Push that throttle in gently and gradually. It's a bit harsh on the engine to roar up the RPMs all at once. You wouldn't pack 7 Gs on yourself without some preparation beforehand would you? That's how an engine feels when you shove a huge charge of fuel and combustion pressure through it by cranking the throttle up in 1 second. Give it a bit of time to process the throttle input.

Ok first off, I was clearly being silly! How can you make a 2-wire (aircraft carrier reference) on a runway? Secondly, I'm NOT (in the rude sense of the word) criticizing this pilot, I'm giving him some helpful advice. If that makes me a "Flying Nazi" to you then obviously you're not a pilot--we thrive on feedback from others. My comments here are meant ONLY to help. Thirdly, my comments are for his use, not your .02, so I couldn't give 2 sh!ts about what you think of my "criticism."
