@Amtrakdavis22 Thanks! That is actually the Pacific Ocean that you are looking at and this is the gulf of Alaska. When you hear weather reports on the news saying that a big winter storm is headed to the California Bay Area and it formed in the Gulf of Alaska this is the area where those storms form.
