We put a "screw-eye" in our ceiling above the tree. Every year we tie the top of the tree to the screw-eye with string. We hope this will keep the tree from tipping over if our cat climbs the tree! :) :)
Guess what our tree did not fell down since we set up .. two cats always play and sleep up the tree.. Pandy always go on top and then slide down on tree funny moment.. if fell then will screw ceiling next christmas. ;-)
Our vet just told us that Christmas is "death time" for cats! YIKES. He even gave us the name of the closest pet hospital emergency room. SO warning all, watch out for kitties and their death-traps at Christmas. Especially ribbon! Nine lives is just a myth. : )

we keep eye on cats around the tree but did not chew small things only they play with ornaments Yeah never know true.
