  • nutnfancy if you know enough to sew a pull tab on the zipper just sew a new zipper on the vest =)

  • Fastex on zipper = OPTIONS

    Fastex on mags = WEIGHT

    ???

    Love ya tho, Nutn!

  • Just got my BLACKHAWK Omega Elite crossdraw vest in OD green. Just like you said, NutN...very good product. I'm looking forward to customizing mine to my taste as you did with yours. I'll be continuing to watch your reviews (I'm thinkin about putting that Buck Hoodlum knife on my Christmas list this year). ;o)

  • Yeah the tube on the vest is innecessary.

  • That vest is identical, in terms of construction, to a Rap4 vest I used for paintball. I like the higher quality zipper on the other vest, although I own some jackets and bags that have much higher quality zippers than the plastic looking zipper.

  • would you suggest this for smaller people or airsoft? and Thank You For Serving Our Country

  • Nutnfancy: Making sewing manly since 2007.

  • well the knife has a clip im sure u could clip it onto something on your vest and stick another magazine in there nd then put the knife on your pocket

  • i love the idea with that retractors i think that is a very good solution to a very annoying problem

  • lol security badge retractor great use!!

  • i said to myself when i woke up "i hope nutnfancy reviews a crossdraw vest" because im picking one up when the store opens. Everything just seems to be working out today :)

  • ya, dope ever

  • 16" Barrel on that AR-15?

  • I like that hydration retention ID card spool idea. Fantastic!

  • Can't you afford gloves without holes in them Nuten?

  • @rjstasio Hahaha! Your mileage may vary.

  • @nutnfancy and @rjstasio,

    They got character :)

  • @nutnfancy That would be awesome if I could find these Tacforce CD vests in multi-cam. If you find them in multi-cam let me know where, peace.

  • @rjstasio Proven "operator"*sic* status ;^P

  • i would go with a plate carrier

    GREAT REVIEW

  • honestly i'm created a bugout bag for this situation. if that fails i will have a little survival kit on my rig. i own a cross draw though. i love it. i'm investing in a plate carrier.

  • @colbertnation1776 Yes they will I'll hunt down a white-tail deer.

  • @009jorge1 yessir when you have wildlife wandering into your neighborhood you're thinking about a last ditch lunch :) them white tails are prolly living on garbage but it's gotta be better than mcdonalds.

  • I think, although i've never used or tested it, using the system that soldiers in the British Military use would be good, the webbing system, that provides more space and easy access to yet extra mags, fluids, first aid kit and other gear, and spares room up for mags and flashlights on the vest... also, the way you did the camelback, wouldn't it be easier to buy the camelback puches that can be attached to the back of the vest?

  • padding on the shoulder i would say gives the stock a better seat on the shoulder and precision shooters usually layer up so the heartbeat doesn't interfere with your aim. btw great vids love your channel. keep it up.

  • A Trijicon ACOG with RMR would be extremely compact and versatile for this application...Too bad they will cost you the arm and leg with which you'd have otherwise been able to use them.

  • Yay snacks

  • oh man!

i already got my tac vest but the idea with the retractor for the camelbak straw is SWEET!

mine hangs loose and flops when i run and when on the four wheeler!

    another great tip! THANKS NUTIN'

  • i have a blackhawk molle LBV and i dual rigged it with a canadian mil. high capacity assault rig..

i can go for days with a shit load of ammo, equipment, whatever.

    it's great.

    experiment with your gear people.

  • VERY NICE BRO 10/10 xD!!!

  • i have a covert cross draw vest is it what u would call paint ball crap?

  • You are the new weaponology!!

Love your vids, your my idol .. for reals

  • I think I'd rather have a GPS than another set of optics.

  • it will be us, The Civilian Sheepdogs that will keep America united & safe, God forbid, in an emergency or disaster.

    Go TNP'ers!!!

Fenix tk10 is the best light i have ever seen!! thanx nutn 4 another great review

  • I keep a 3.5 foot Ninjato on the back loops, works like a dream.

  • 7:05 what's CQB?

  • Close quarters battle.

  • CQB=close quarter battle

  • @blackzombie3 Thanks bro, I appreciate it.

  • this motherfucker is a bamf!!!!!!!!!

    go civilian sheepdogs baby!!

one of the greatest things abot America

  • We are so lucky to even be able to talk about these things and not being hunt down by misinformed savages who think this stuff is crazy. Go America. Thanks nutn fancy.

  • 12:20 - 13:44 effin smart, I gotta write this stuff down ( :

  • Regarding the inside pockets, I usually keep a small notebook (blank, unlined, with folder to hold paper) that I use for mapping, note taking (duh) and paper for calculations (rationing, distance, windage, etc. etc.) morse, and maybe even for games (moral is critical, or so I believe) and in the other inside pocket I keep an erasable pen, ruler (cut down to the length of the notebook) and a permanent marker.

  • great video, very informative. probably gonna get me a crossdraw vest. and they do have left handed vests. thanks for the information.

  • great video, very informative probably gonna get me the blackhawk crossdraw. thanks for the information

  • does anyone have any suggestion on what i should do for a belt style rig?

  • you could always do the WW2 style systems i use it when i take a simple belt with two pouches for my F88 Aus Steyr that carry a total of 6 rounds per pouch. Also a M249 pouch as a dump pouch for the mags and ofcorse a a water bottle and a sheath for the machete.

Lol all you need for the Aussie bush

  • NUTNFANCY FOR PRESIDENT!!!!

    Great Review!

  • wondering if keeping ammo in the clips on a long term basis will cause the springs in the mags to become compressed to the point that when the mag is empty from shooting it will not lock the bolt/slide back or have feed issues

  • Yes they will, from a lot of LONG term testing I have read, if you download your mags by just ONE round you will exponentially increase your spring and follower lifespan.

  • if you buy PMAGs from Magpul instead of "clips" from the gangster outlet store then you don't have to worry about the springs...the PMAGs are designed to be left loaded, they are named P-MAG in reference to "perpetual Mag" meaning its fine to leave loaded

  • i have 3 , 33 round clips for my glock 17 in one of my rifle pouches just an idea for ya

  • good for you and your "clips"....I hope I run in to some gangsters that have "clips" after the SHTF....my Mags will be very useful..."clips" lol...you're a tard!

  • Perfect MRE pouches on the inside. Put 2 in each one. Need to have fuel or you are like a gun with out bullets.

  • Can each mag pouch on the Tac Force hold 2 aluminum AR mags? How well do they hold 2 Pmags?

    Thanks

  • they have just started clamping down on ballistic vests in canada ._. so not sure what you have to go through to get one now but probably a lot of paperwork and such.

  • Crossdraw vests aren't "ballistic vests" to start with, they have no ballistic protection in them at all and they are readily available even in canada...or at least they were when I was up there hunting in August.

  • my mistake. I was thinking bullet 'proof' vests, recently made it so that you had to get papers and whatnot to get one now. I'm guessing crossdraw vests are safe.

  • Buying Blackhawk vest was a mistake.

I bought a Blackhawk Omega Elite Tactical vest. Blackhawk advertised it has 3 pouches that each hold 2 AR 15 mags. This is false. I cannot hold one Magpul mag with one old alum mag, it can only hold 1 Magpul.

Called Blackhawk; they said they knew this, but too bad. Don't think I'll buy anymore Blackhawk.

  • you can hit anything within 300 yards with an Aimpoint right?

Its not just for CQB is it?

Im pretty sure CQB is within 50 yards

  • no magnification. depends on wether you're trying to hit a car or a head

  • how bout a chest

  • you do not understand what i am saying.

  • probably not, ill stick with 0-200m i can hit things with a non-mag aimpoint at that range

  • okey first off i dnt claim to know shit about weaponrey k so no nasty coments i like the ar15 and the whole kit but for a neibourhood defence point wouldnt a shotgun with a deer slug do more when your engagment is normaly under 100 yards ?

  • If you use a slug in the shotgun, you scarifice the guns primary advantage; shot spread and hit probability. If you're gonna use slugs your better off with an AK/AR which has better range/larger ammo loads, etc. IMHO That said my Saiga 12 (with the tactical conversion) would be my choice in CQC.

  • for defending my home in a wrol i am getting a kel tec sub 2000 in 9mm that accepts glock mags. so i can have glock 33 round mags for the sub 2000 plus get a glock 17 which also uses 33 round mags so if your gun goes down u can use your already loaded mags in your pistol. with a tac force smg vest holds 3 pistol mags and 6 smg mags so the 33 rounders will fit perfectly. and the sub 2000 is 300 bucks and effective to 150 yards. but thats for defending my home if i need to bug out i have a ar180b.

  • My vest came with buckles and fast techs on EVERY Mag holder....Yeah its kinda bulky but it makes me feel more secure in that my Ammo will ALWAYS be on me. No Matter What.

  • i had to pause and write out the "rain snow slush mud guts blood" i just found that funny s he if you say it at the same time as him lol, so casual, love nutnfancys vids

  • im stil laguhing 5 hours later, just hover over 8;30 and keep clicking back, mental.

  • definitely man, whatever works for you is what you should go with. I don't really like crossdraw vests or thigh rigs. I go with the Bianci standard issue hip holster with a thumb break. whatever makes you comfortable is the best choice.

  • I've found that thigh rigs don't distribute weight better. Quite honestly, they tend to make my pants sag. Plus, I don't like having anything on my leg when I need to run, nor do I like anything that makes me wider, if I need to squeeze into a confined space or doorway. plus, the CD vest is not for offensive combat ops. It's POU is not something where you need space for more than 120 rounds. More than that you need a MOLLE system or Plate Carrier to really have a combat effective loadout

  • nutnfancy says both in parts 1 and 2 that the benefits of the crossdraw vest are it's grab and go capability. All your gear is attached to one rig, that way there's no shuffling around looking for gear when crisis strikes. The benefits of vest mounted holster over thigh rig is that it is better for vehicle mount/dismount. also, thigh rigs scratch the magwell and mags of your sidearm anytime you sit down or lean against a wall. There are numerous other reasons, but those are the foremost.

  • you can fit AK mags in the M4 side pouches. I still recommend Kydex pouches.

  • Superb review bro! I would've never thought about the ID badge retractors for the Camelbak tube. Also, like the Nylon tip for both the zipper and Camelbak bladder. Dude you rule!

  • Anyone know where I can get some of that nylon to sew up my vest for camelbak etc...

  • dunno but nonwaxed dental floss is what I usually use and it hasn't failed me yet, especially for field gear.

  • hey i bought a vest thats is cross draw and it seems like the pistol holster can be removed and there is velcro under it but it makes noise when i move and the pistol doesnt stay tight up to my body it like hangs outward from my body and it annoys me what should i do?

  • what brand name is it?......cause i just bought a UTG cross draw....

  • FiDragon

  • tacforce and blackhawk i think

  • just stitch it into place

  • you could make it by perminit sewing it on.

  • Very nice vest, with a few exceptions only for MY part... I am left handed, so I prefer MOLLE, and I prefer a vest with a hydration bladder pocket, but this is just for ME, for the standard right handed civilian sheepdog its a GREAT and affordable rig, great work once again brother!

  • military sheep, brainwashed to die

if the ppl revolt, they have EVERY RIGHT UNDER THE CONSTITUTION

read 1984, you are all brainwashed into thiunking you do good...do you REALLY do good by opressing the population?

you are just puppets of gov't control

    the arm of the lunatic

  • Hmm. Interesting point you make there.....care to elaborate?

    <----brainwashed military sheep

  • What would the U.S. be without the government ?, ran with liberal / hippy intervenes ? Yes government is pretty F'd up at times no denying it. But do you think you can really do better ? And war is human nature, no matter how much you mask it, or dignify human peace; the truth is that humans are brutal by nature no matter how much you try to mask it, dignify it. War is a rabies infested dog, and all you can do is wipe the foam off its lips. Do you understand ?

  • Humans make war because they are compelled, we are no different from animals fighting for dominancy and food, constantly violent but with nuke deterance.

So you do whatever your liberal fanatical and mass histaria compelles you to do, just know that there is no changing nature. When do you think the animals on animal planet will ever stop fighting each other ?

  • iroically, thats just what I say.

We are no better than animals.

in your wisdom you forget we are NOT, in fact, the same as animals.

Some may retain the instincts of a beast, but we have the brains we have to make USE of them.Otherwise, we wouldn't have 'em evolutionarily speaking, right?

Were a young species & War is primitive

ur defeatist attitude sets us back, as do all people who raise a weapon to another, be it 'license to kill' (gov't) or a 'militant'.

you are the means to violent ends

  • Right, some contains the wisdome of beasts.

But their will always be those who are dumb enough to follow. I just play along with the joke, neutral ends.

  • We are animals but the main difference between lower order animals is our ability to consciously change how we behave and think.

  • Soooo glad to hear that I'm not the only guy that sews my gear! Especially since I'm only 17!

  • 17 and already sewing your own gear and having the for thought to customize your rig. That's great young man! Keep up the good work.

  • Well I don't use any of the gear I make for real fire arms. All for airsoft, but once I'm out on my own definitely will own real fire arms and do all the safety and paper work stuff.

  • Hey, you gotta start some where, right? Just use your airsofts as you would a real firearm. Concentrate on safety and proper weapon use. Also I bet somewhere near you there is a NRA instructor that puts on classes that would be fun and beneficial for you. By the way, where did you learn to sew? Are you a Scout? Practice hard! Cheap it up!

  • Yeah I've had too many times I didn't think of it that way and shot myself in the foot. If it was real I would of been screwed. I'm sure there are, it's just my folks don't like guns and are totally againt them. I on the other hand understand the need for them for home defense.

  • I was a Scout when I was younger, but the first time I sewwed was when I was 13. A pair of pants got ripped all the way up the inside of the leg. Thought I would get in trouble if my parents saw that, so I grabbed a needle and some string before my mom got home and tried my best to hide what happened. Worked well until it went through the wash. Since then just had little projects here and there. Like I just made a one point sling out of some webbing and the buckle fom an old broken dog collar.

  • I wouldn't leave this on a hanger. I would stuff it in a duffel with a shoulder strap.

  • Just to add about the eotech, you can buy glass covers to protect it from the snow sludge blood guts hehe

    great videos love it

  • What a lot of airsoft players do to protect those expensive lenses (flashlights and optics) from bbs breaking them is cutting a piece of Lexan, and putting that over the lenses. It's like a second lense that can take heavy punishment. Only downside: I had a teammate put one on his Scorpion (500 Lumen Flashlight) and after extended use, it started to melt the Lexan.

  • Who is the maker?

  • Are you fucking kidding? 02:37

  • Airsoft Atlanta carries Tac Force vests in various colors (black, OD, and tan) for $60 on their website.

  • I never want to look like I have my cheeks stuffed with nuts.

  • Nutn wont tell us what his job is, but he know "one of" them is military and it isnt marine, so either National guard air, coast guard, USAF or maybe even a cadet instructor. Notice he says "M4 mag pouches, which indicates he doesnt use 20" Ar-15;s

  • u should be the next future weapon guy

  • It would be awesome to see nutnfancy on TV...but future weapons I don't know. The guy on future weapons acts like he loves every weapon he reviews. Nutnfancy is more real than that I think. Having him as the host would change the entire show.

  • so it'd be like FUTUREWEAPONS: the real story

  • Haha yeah exactly.

  • @xberttooxx13 Lol I agree. That Mac guy cant even get his calibers right. He held up an AK round and called it a .308. And I may just be picking nits but if you're an "expert" you should know simple stuff like that

  • @idotman12 the AK fires a 7.62 mm bullet, converted to American Standard that's .308 cal

  • @oglum57 No, thats not true. There are many types of 7.62 mm rounds. The AK fires a 7.62 x 39 mm round. The NATO .308 is a 7.62 x 51. The M14 fires that round as well as many other current weapon systems in use by the American Military.

  • @oglum57

    the ak fires 7.62 x 39, the 308 is 7.62 x 51.

Just cause people call them both 7.62 doesn't mean they're the same, get your facts rights.

And what do you mean American Standards?

It's all done by measuring standards, just cause we're in America doesn't mean an inch is longer or shorter then somewhere else.

  • @wevor4tard Well now Im picking nits again but technically a x39 shoots a .310 or .311 which actually makes a difference.

  • @idotman12

that's not true, but I'm not going to argue it.

Just google it or something, don't wanna sound cocky but I know what I'm talking about and argueing with you wont prove my point.

  • @idotman12 That's because the AK-47 fires a .308 caliber round. He's not wrong. The difference is the length of the case - 7.62x39, x51, x63 (.30-06) We simply take for granted that a .308 winchester in layman's terms is the civilian version of the 7.62x51mm NATO.

  • Nutnfancy should be a cable TV show with a camera guy. But, if they played commercials between observations that would be bad.

  • Enuff said about that!

  • I use the old style ALICE suspenders, and web belt combo for my LBE/WROL system.

  • Good system ! Thats all I use next to a 5.11 vest although the vest get used very little. I've used these types of vest in the past and have had them fail , once any part of the vest fails your in deep do do period! Been there done that!!! YES vest are good for grab and go but again I always go back to my old (ALICE) system! Vest are a good concept but wear out like a pair of pants when in heavy use! Just keep that in mind !

  • I have that vest configured for a lefty. Great Vest however, my USP .45 mags tent to come out of the 3 pistol mag holders.

Great review; hits both the strong and weak points of this kind of system.

Thanks Nut'tn for another good one.

  • i switched from a plate carrier to this type of vest because i kept on leaving things at my house, you are completely right on the grab and go capabilities.

  • Nutnfancy..the martha of all things army. "that's a good thing!"

  • "...rain, snow, slush, mud, guts, blood; whatever you got goin." That's just great.

  • Comment removed

  • "yeah, I sow; you should too. Wife won't do it; I got to do it"

  • hahah love ya man

    good info

and funny at the same time

    chipmonk with fat cheeks lol

    rock on

  • i dont think that the padding on the shoulder is to help with the recoil rather the comfort from the recoil

  • i'm not a crossdraw vest man, but you do a great job of presenting the features

  • On Zippers: I usually take off all the metal zippers and use (braided) 550 cord knotted for fit in their place. This reduces snags, IR profile, noise and makes gloved use easy.

On Zip Ties: If you are afraid of sewing or know what a pain-in-the-5th-point it is to sew cordura you can often use hardware bought zip ties to do a lot of this. This is especially true of mesh systems. I LOVE zip ties. They are just as useful as Hurricane Tape.

Question: Is that Tacforce holster up to a large pistol?

  • Zippers i have a love hate relation with because they are fast and easy, but sometime they rip up the material thats connected to the teeth. (damaged one back pack and on jacket because of that little issue, thankfully it's not common)

  • Boy, howdee, do I know that feeling brother. Zippers are a real iffy deals. I FEAR nylon zips for just that reason.

Haven't watched this in a while. I LOVE NutNFancy's vids so much. Great great guy trying to help a lot of people. Some awesome gloves in this video. HOLY TAC GLOVES are the best...sometimes. :D Lotta great stuff in here. I pray God bless us all!

  • M-68s are always broke. If someone is going to get something worth a buck, get an ACOG. 3x or 4x whatever, but those are way better than the M-68 red dot.

  • hi i'm from canada , ontario actually and i dont need a full cross draw vest for a tactical rolde i just want to know if you can reccomend one for range use thanks , i just need sum mag pockets and thats about it .

  • MAN I FRIGIN HATE velcro its noisy and not reliable in a dirty situation, someones gotta do somtin dif.

  • I like velcro over buttons or snaps... cause snaps or buttons tend to break.. Anyway if your getting another magazine or something else you would already be in a "situation"...

  • i have a molle system so i have a opentop bungee cover m4 mag pouch i think that's the best...

how ever if you have 300 extra dollars you can spend it on a Strac F.A.S.T m4 mag system which is amazing.

  • Stiched it, then used seam sealer. I got a kick out of that. Perfect fix, not one I would of thought of though.

This was a very well made and thought out video.

I learned a lot and thank you once again.

  • 550 cord the knive to your best , hero !

  • For civilian use i'd use a duty belt with suspenders. But, i dont like a military look in the city.

  • What is your opinion of double primary rifle/shotgun and pistol L.B.V. configurations?

  • Can you carry 7.62 Nato round mags in the M4 pouches? -Rich

  • Hey Nutnfancy, great series here, I've been wondering about good ways to ready some necessary gear in anticipation of an event, specifically hurricanes, and this seems like a pretty good option. Can be assembled 3 or 4 days ahead, and stored ready for 'grab and go.'

You think we might see a review on that Gerber Harsey Air Ranger folding knife? I've got a friend who's a big Gerber fan, and the stats I've researched for it look decent, but the Nutnfancy perspective is worth 10 Google searches.

  • Why did it get taken down?

  • Awesome series Nutn! Can't wait for part three. Big thumbs up on the hydration tube retractor! Awesome! Keep it up Bro!!

  • This is the one I was speaking of and have one of my AR's (Hensoldt 2.5X magnifier w/ LaRue Tactical 30 mm Pivot Mount QD for picatinny rails with center line of 1.725" QD LT649 PRICE: $195.00). It's a 2.5X which is even less. Been doing a little surfing though too and found an Burris 3x9x40 with Balisticplex for $150...so I am eye balling that one pretty hard.

  • I love watching your vid's, it gets my mind off of the political garbage going on right now.

  • 10/4 to that!

  • Not if you consider that this information might become a lot more germane in a couple days lol.

  • Rodger!

  • Oh man, do I hear ya. If I hear "I approve this message" from one more ad, I can't guarantee my response! So, I've shut the TV and the radio down for the next 24 hours.

  • Speaking on the AR Scope capability for CQB and Medium range would it not be more prudent too have a magnifier setup with the Aimpoint? I utilize the Larue Po-Boy combo on one of my rifles and will say it is a superb set up. CQB or Medium range in a snap and no need for the added weight of the scope/rings/etc. Now it is not nearly as capable as a 3x9x40, but fits the bill in most situations.

  • Indeed an option. But that Aimpoint 3X Magnifier #11324 with LaRue Tactical QD Mount #LT602 is $581! That is a lot of cabbage for just a 3x scopte in my book. I've studied the weight and capabilities of that unit (only 3x) and I prefer the shown setup better. Also having two optics piggy backed as such exposes 4 not 2 lenses to rain/dust problems. In heavy rain this sux. Going out to 500 meters I would really want the 9x capability. Downside is the switching over necessary. Thanks Lex!

  • that shoulder padding is nice if you are using a shotgun

  • BlackHawk and TacForce both make a left handed cross draw vest, great video man keep them coming.

  • Left handers available. Great input, thanks!

  • Nutnfancy: Love the video but you've gotta stop waving the camera around so much. It gives us motion sickness.

  • Sorry. Great input and I'll improve on that.

  • dude! dust cover .. you`re awesome, nice pointers (Camel back retractor)

  • Great vid by the way.

  • Where would you mount a fixed blade on that rig?

  • Stay tuned for Part three. I have to re-upload it later this week. It got jacked up.

  • Kel Tec Sub 2000 with the Glock system?
