thank you so much!, but i've found an easier way to tell how long the narrow end should be.

depending on your height place the tip of the narrow end at the bottom of the 3rd button, if the narrow end is to short at the end result place the tip of the narrow part at the bottom of the 4th button. hope this helped :)

If you watch carefully on ; how to divide your tie ,where to place the narrow part, what do I do with it, where does it go etc. it will be a piece of cake. NOTE: This is the simplest, casual way. The knot is slightly asymmetrical (lower on one side). You should learn now to tie a Windsor or some of the others for more formal occasions (or necktie tuxedos). It's fun to try to learn them all then practice to see which you like best. : )
