  • if darth vader saw this, he's wee-wee would become 'stiff '...

  • lame and too bright and flashy

  • Love it! :)

  • what happends if i make a wheelie??

  • Cool technology dude.

  • I ordered the $60 version today. Can't wait to get it. I'll need to put it on my rear tire because my fronts are only 16". I think they are too small?

  • @BeatProductionzz You may change the images in the onboard memory with our software and a Mac computer. All you need to do is create a playlist and download it to the Video Pro with a special usb cable.

  • @laurentrains Well isn't that a load of BS? You shouldn't need a Mac for that.

  • This is way more better than TRON bikes!!!!

  • is that a fixie?

  • AWSOME!!!!!!!!

  • that was NOT done with 1 unit per wheel.... the leds look like they go from hub to rim in this video... the unit isnt that long...... plus besides this video... look up any one else posted video that has one of these.... doesn't come any where close to this... soooooo i call BS

  • @doubletapm4 This video was not done with our consumer Monkey Light product, but rather with our professional level Video Pro Wheel Screen. It has 256 LEDs on four spokes instead of 32 LEDs on one spoke. Both products are awesome, but I would not want the Video Pro during my evening commute.

  • Very cool!

  • Is this legal on the road as one is not allowed to have flashing lights on bicycle wheels. I believe the issue are the lights being a potential distraction to other motorists?

  • WoW This is CooL !! How much are this ?? Can I find this in Macedonia ???

  • so how much it cost with a pics

  • interesting :D

  • were can i find them pliz

  • want want want!

  • why would you go bike riding at night :S

  • We bought something not as nice as this many years ago, called Hokey Spokes.

The trouble is we live in the UK where it doesn't really get dark in the summer, and it the winter it's too gloomy to ride. I recently pried off the rusty remainder of this experiment.

Still, great idea & best of luck.

  • Ya I want to get a bunch of these to start an advertisment crew of riders just to find a company to sponsor us for our local area got like 20 riders ready to do this....

  • so what happens once you go faster than 40km/h then???

  • im gitin me one of those!

  • is it legal?

  • How do I get this for my bicycle, so I can let people crash on my way to work? honestly, I want there asses to look & crash.

  • so realy cool

  • what's the name of the song please!?!?!??!?!

  • i have crated my bike its named, renault nepta_bike ,.in this bike i have music, charger of n96 light front and rear music player with n96 etc

  • this NEXT GEN design is beyond SICK! it works on BOTH sides of the wheel too now?! if i ever win the lottery, i am getting A BUNCH OF THESE!

BTW gas guzzling morons stole this idea from BICYCLISTS where the idea first arose.

i really wish i could afford this new 2.0 system. if people freak out when they see a crappy rave spinner on a bike, they must faint at the sight of these!

    COME ON LOTTERY!

    LOL

  • $2000...yikes.

  • It's better to spend 2grand on customized monkey electric bike lights than on a feckin motor, which is about the same prize.

  • zajebiaszcze

  • This will start as a publicity tool, of course...

  • imagine that !!! maybe a wal-mart spoke light

  • SHOCK & AWE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • future bike

  • Super!

  • I meant thanks hehehe. Oh, you guys don't have a dealer for monkeylights yet in these parts do you? I'd like a set of those longer ones too :) I also meant 1 set, got two on each wheel. Really awesome look!

  • I have this installed on my single speed (coaster-brake hub), it is amazing! Had to ask my mom to buy one for me in the U.S. because I'm all the way here in the Philippines, let's just say I got one eye-catching ride! Thankst to the guys at Monkeylectric! Hope you guys come out with some more innovations! God bless you. :)

  • are you selling the systems ie full set up as i know someone in europe that would be very interested for ambient media use if so how mush is the set up cost on one bike and is it possible to run more than one bike off the same lap top ????

  • $2000 for the single video system you need. And only $50 for each lighting display. Most likely someone will come up with a cheap video system :P

Also why does it say wireless updates, when you can clearly see the wires from the laptop go to the bike xD

  • This looks awesome, but I have a hard time believing it. Would you have to be peddling at the same pace all the time? I hope this is real.

  • it has a magnetic sensor to track speed (just like a standard bike speedometer), and corrects for any speed between about 15km/h and 40km/h. the speed correction is one of the easier parts of this :)

  • Well nothing about this seems that easy. I'm very impressed.

  • охринительно

    this is damn good!

  • holy crap that's brilliant!

  • the idea itself kicks so much ass.

implementation was definitely an easier part

  • the implementation was not so simple as it looks!

  • anyone that wants to buy these for me can advertise. I ride 25 miles a day down a busy street in Columbus Ohio.

  • Thanks, however the correct song is "Think about the way" by ICE MC

  • song name plz?

  • "It's a Rainy Day" by ICE MC.

  • good job :)))

  • BAD ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great. One more reason for some prick to want to steal my bike.

  • @HarryBalszak

    too right!

i wouldnt put them on an bike of any value over 50 bucks, frankly. i would put together a cheap bike and use the wheels as ad space.

  • @HarryBalszak again and again.... llittle mother fuckers. some chick stole my fathers old Scorpio mountain bike while i was in the welfair office. mother fucking bitch

  • Does one have to go a certain speed for the message to show?

  • If you were watching and actually paying attention you would have seen at 2:12 that the device worked between 8-25 mph.

  • Amazing!!!

  • How much?

  • What's the name of the music?

  • insert Pepsi logos here

  • Cool!

  • Cool!

  • HAX

  • I don't get it. The display surface of the product is only 6", which when spun will extend to 12". The bike at the beginning of the video clearly has at least 24" wheels, if not 26". But there's no holes in the display, its a continuous surface. What gives?

  • our Monkey Light product is 6" long, the Video Pro is about 9". inside rim diameter on a 26" wheel is about 20". there is a 2" hole in the middle of the display also.

  • they should get this technology into cars.

  • i want two please

  • hate to see the price tag

  • $60...

  • goood video

  • I want one!!!

  • that's great

    i want one very much!

  • stop spammin

  • no i wont

  • superb geek gadget

  • WANT!!!

  • awesome!

    we want it in Italy!

  • where can i buy it? XD

  • awesome!

  • Very nice! I'll definitely be in line to buy a set!

  • WANT IT!

  • great video!

  • so, words will be backwards on the other side, right?

  • No, the wheel was designed to allow independant control of both sides, so we can have completely different images on one side of the wheel as the other. We can therefore use that to have text facing the correct direction on both sides. (disclaimer: the software currently doesn't have that written into it but the hardware supports it)

  • thanks for the reply. that is awesome, and amazing. very cool stuff!

there's no question that the advertising potential for this is huge, but think of the artistic possibilities.

  • Pimp my bike!

  • the base of the song is "Think about the way" by Ice MC, the track also appears in Trainspotting (the movie) on the london scene. I don't know about this particular remix... (or if its just using the sample)

  • sweet... :)

ps: what's the song called? ;)

  • quite possibly the coolest bike addition i've ever seen, great name too :-)

  • That is amazing. Also, I saw a Xander in there hehe
