From the Blu Spy's perspective, the Red Spy wasn't visible. He saw the knife flick up into position behind the Engi and stabbed instinctively.

While trying to figure out why the hell a cloaked Red Spy was standing there with his knife out, I entered the replays and discovered something ~*magical*~
