I play the chimes and ride cymbal part for my band, you guys sound like you are missing the cabasa at 44. also the open triangle sound seemed a little clanky, but your balance is really good, and great tone.
I was randomly thinking about Kevin and had never heard this song before (I wasn't in band with him) so I decided to look it up. Good performance, and this song is a great commemoration to his life. He was a really fun guy who loved life, and its good to hear Kevin through the music.
Wow! Fantastic opening, and presentation of the song! And this is from a group of kids as young as 8th Grade! This is fantastic! I applaud you on a job well done!
this is sooo awesome!! this song was commissioned by my high school in honor of a student in the band that died at the end of the marching band season. he was a tuba player, hence the awesome tuba parts. it is really really cool to see this song being placed all over the place! it makes me feel like a little bit of Kevin is living on forever!
Yes:)Its a great song. Our director actually told us about the story behind it when we played it. It's very sad. This is a great way to honor him though:)
my friend was conducted by brian balmages before at georgia midfest. brian composed a song just for them. it was called "Reverberations". really cool song. brian balmages is awesome.
I am a tuba player, an dude, my section leader is in love with this song. I just looked at it for the first time yesterday, and dude, its fairly easy-ish, and its uber pretty. hehee.
im the oboe player. and i did play it but, i guess you couldnt hear me. it's the frist time i've played the oboe is all the songs(at this concert). i've only played not even a year.
go timpani!!! haha i love this song! starting at 3:52 and ending at like 4:13 was my favorite it took me FOREVER to leanr! and then 3:40 to 3:47 was another favorite of mine to play! aha!
Huh, I played this at bandcamp lest year and it sounded totally different, not that this is bad. I played clarinet....its such a beautiful song, isnt it?
