I loved The Town. I'm pretty sure I've only seen the theatrical cut, but that's a shame about the extended version. I've been really hesitant to watch Let Me In, but you've sparked my interest. Plus Hit Girl as a Vampire...you can't go worng. Parenthood! I would've been disappointed had you not picked it up. It's one of the few shows that can actually bring me to tears on a weekly basis. Let's hope we get a Season 3!

@WolframandSpike Don't underestimate a DVD collector in NY lol. Yes no joke I bought an extra suitcase for all my stuff. You'll see in Part 2 I got more than just DVDs lol. I think I would of held back if the woman at the airport on the way back said we could bring an extra suitcase back for free! So we bought 1 each in a cheap store over there lol.
Wow you certanly like being a American, despite being British, you go to New York, buy Region 1/A releases, shop at Best Buy and eat Mentos. :D BTW congrats on getting a region free Blu-ray player. :)

I really liked Let Me In, was expecting it to be a terrible remake but I loved it. It is pretty much a shot for shot remake but there are a couple of changes I really enjoyed, liked the "car" scene which was just amazing. Oh and Richard Jenkins is in it! The UK exclusive version of The Social Network is pretty much the same as that one except that card sleve bit is stuck on so it just flaps about lol.
Didn't like Machete, it surprisingly bored the hell out of me. I liked Let Me In, but I didn't care for Let The Right One In which is weird. Positive I'd like it a whole lot more if I'd watch it again, so I should do that. Yeah Parenthood is great. Been kinda curious about The League since Jon Lajoie is in it.
Also, we got those exact red coasters or whatever it's called. That's thrilling huh...
@jollestudio1 Lol the red coasters drive me mad, they are hard to keep clean but I have a huge scratch on that table so have to cover it with something!...Thrilling lol.
Nice Pickups, Ive never actually seen Parenthood, but I did the VIP tour at Universal Studios in Hollywood and we got to walk around on the set of that show.

@Macktube New York is very busy but I love it for some reason, I guess its not much different to London in that respect (but people are friendlier in NY!). I went before in '06 but I loved it even more this time. I went with 2 friends but I did go off on my own a lot sometimes when I wanted to go to the comic book store or other geeky stuff for example lol.
So, did you enjoy New York? Did you see any Broadway plays? I saw Beauty and the Beast there several years ago, definitely not an experience to be forgotten.
@KiddoBeastPro Yes I loved it. More on that in Part 2. I saw Addams Family The Musical on Broadway which was fun! I wanted to see Wicked but couldn't get tickets. Last time I saw Rent which is one of my fave musicals.

@DVDeMm Yeah it's a fun little show, what has shown of season 4 I really like a lot. It's not ground breaking or anything but it has good characters and a lot of humour which I know is what you always want so I think you'll like it.

The Town was great. I don't love it as much as most (i.e I wasn't bothered one way or the other about its lack of a Best Picture nomination), but it had great performances and wild action. Ben Affleck needs to stick behind the camera.
The Blind Side was one that I just thought was ok. I don't get all the praise. It was a pretty standard almost TV-Movie type of film....
@90ashleysmith I got them at a Best Buy. There are quite a few but I kept finding myself back at the same one! It was a few blocks from Times Square. You'll find one I'm sure!
