I've only witnessed one wreck before, one that I'll never forget. I was stopped at an intersection about to get onto a overpass on-ramp that merges onto the highway, one that inclines and then turns in a 90 degree angle. Just before I got onto the ramp I watched a guy on a crotch rocket fly by me going around 85-90mph when the ramp was a 40mph turn. He didn't have enough time to brake and ended up running into the concrete barrier and launching him and his bike over the wall to a 130ft drop.
Something that made me think happened like this a little while ago. I was riding near Lambertville, NJ at night time and was stopped at a red light at 8:30 PM (i remember because i was checking how much gas i had) I went home, but on the way an ambulance was coming head on at me with its lights on. About 30 minutes later i went on facebook and a friend uploaded a picture of that same intersection, i guess right after i passed through, a girl blew the light and hit a motorcycle.
In my career as a professional driver I have seen some nasties on the road. everything from fender benders to exploded cars. The worst part of an accident are the rubber neckers. I was in an accident last month and a rubber neckers almost plowed one of the emergency responders down. For those who see this and take time to read these, when you approach an accident slow down but keep going. Pay attention to what is happening and people moving around, but keep going and clear the site.
Whew. Yeah, there was a nasty accident on a 2-lane road I ride every day. Traffic was backed up for miles in both directions. I almost got out my camera... but when the ambulance drove away silent with lights, I figured I should just be respectful of their privacy.
This one doesn't look like a deadly one, but definitely a nasty one. Hope no one was hurt too badly.
yeah that's sad to see fatal accidents. Everyone looked fairly alive in this one, just a dummy that ran a light. Looked like a fairly young teenager too, hope he learned his lesson.
