  • This seemed like something new and exciting, after watching this i was ready to set up a camera and see if i could get some evidence here in the UK.

So glad i researched it first, i just found 2 papers that completey debunk it.

  • Jose must have a very good perception of perception to be able to distinguish this phenomena. This is an amazing ability, to be able to slow the mind-chatter down to such an extent as to be able to perceive what is out there and then to note it consciously. This kind of perception, it would seem to me, is what you'd want for an observer of nature. Perhaps that capability can be expanded through pure interest and curiosity. Curiosity and objectivity.

  • Could it be these are creatures that live in the stratosphere and dive down for food like whales dive down for squid but live near the surface of the limb of the ocean and air? Obviously these things don't land or nest in trees or live near the land. Similarly, many so-called "UFO"s or "ovni" might be organic beings living in the stratosphere as their normal regions, but dive deep, near us, to gather food. Hence, their non-regular appearance to our observation.

  • Jose is like Jeff Anderson of Facebook/findbigfoot: sharp eyes and able to distinguish fleeting phenomena well enough so as to help other people see something otherwise too fast or too blurry to ascend into the zone of recognition as a definite something. With video, now, no one can simply claim it was their imaginations playing tricks. Unless imagination can be recorded on a chip.

  • A very nice shoot (taken by a tv camerateam) of a rod flying behind an airplane can be seen here -> "ufos - sie sind da". It´s on Youtube, skip to 19min18sec... !

  • I believe those rod are alien life form.

  • you know what, they look like mini flying robots that the gov. uses to spy on people.

  • I was probably being sarcastic. also a very important piece of evidence I want to bring to the table is that you're known in some very persuasive circles as el senior DoucheO!! Ah we have fun

  • what do they eat?

  • @the1log yea, and how do they eat? so far no one has ever seen one sitting on a branch eating so we must assume they eat and drink in full flight

I think this thing has not been around very long because no one has ever found a dead one and we can safely assume with these rods being filmed all around the world that there are plenty of 'm, and if they been around for thousands of years people must have found dead rods from time to time and must have wondered what kind of creature it was

  • I put out a game cam in maine to catch some deer before the season on the edge of a field. I got these same exact things and have the video...I reset the cam from video to picture..guess what...moths..yup moths..the bigger ones on here might be birds...reason..slow video shudder speed at night with a cheap game cam lengthens the critters body and the ripple is just the wings

  • @lloydchaison1 Dude, 3:00 minutes into this film and the guy is telling you that he's using a very high shutter speed, when he films birds or insects close to the lense he slows it down frame by frame and you can clearly see its a bird or insect, then a rod goes by, you slow that down frame by frame and it does not clear up. Did you even watch any part of the vid yo commented on? douche

  • @gregtool9 i didnt think you believed in rods..you commented before that it is a camera effect..what do you care what that guy says about shudder speed at 3:00..he could be lying, he could be an alien, he could have caught your mothers panties on film..douche!

  • @lloydchaison1 from the description: "high quality video of "Rods" in flight taken by a production company working for the Discovery Channel while taping cliff jumpers in South America."

I'm sure the Discovery Channel doesn't have a production company working for them that's not using much better equipment than your toys 'r us game cam

  • If people film this shit all the time, all i have to say is, "why not 2000 frames per second"? Stop wasting my time and yours. Stupid people are really starting to piss me off. Same with fucking ufo's, 2000 fraps anyone? I'm going to go crazy over this shit. Somebody please film with super fast shutter speed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rods ... they amplifies the signals from human implants ... ( s.s.taken point of view )

& like spheres gathers theirs ...

    so ... whose ?

  • Insects!

  • These RODS look exactly like a flying cuddle fish or squid,,, also a very old species, plenty of time to evolve,,,translucent skirts too,,,I BETCHA!!

  • mmmh

  • Uh huh huh huh you said rods. Uh huh huh

  • well...on the other hand..it could really be "bio-engineered robotic/insect"-designed to "go off" when their environment is "invaded by humans",so as precaution they "go off" and rely the "signals" to some central ufo command" ?? :))

  • well, those "rods" are robotic probes! duh!

  • well, those are "rods" are robotic probes! duh!

  • Outstanding. A new species. And one that flies as fast as a jet to boot.

  • Just like the fairly recent discovery of biological

extremeophiles, rods might be the tip of the previously

unnoticed bio-iceberg! Jose is a genius!

  • little moschito

  • Might be worth setting up some sort of large reinforced net array in that Mexican cave!

  • @sudokcd

That has already been done in Japan... they filmed lots of "rods" flying into the nets.

What was in those nets? - Insects.

  • This was an interesting phenomenon that turned out to be flying insects recorded at 60 fps. The "smoking gun" actually is the absolute consistency with which these "rods" break into multiple parts when you remove one of the video capture fields. Solid objects don't do that. We have also been waiting for 10 years for a feature film that never appeared. The Chinese gov't was fascinated enough to try to capture some rods. They videoed them and when they looked in the nets...they had bugs!

  • Interestingly enough there was a guy on you tube who had an experience when he was a kid by a lake where he saw what sounded like a rod which flew around him he was totally freaked out by the experience and he described a beautiful living being he said it was as long as a broom handle and same shape had two eyes which looked at him at one end and small wings up and down its length like that of a humming bird...hopes this helps.

  • @AngelWarriorSpeaks He Lied.

  • @spynode Well actually, there have been many experiments performed wherein the rods in still shots were shown to be bugs. I believe in aliens/visitation, but the evidence in this case is almost indisputable. You can try this for yourself with a camera and a light outside (to attract bugs).

  • @spynode Oh really? I didn't watch any of it. I prefer to attempt intelligent analysis of a video without watching it. Its funnier.

Go back a few pages and read some more comments (I'm sure they aren't ALL deleted). Someone with reasonable logic, or even a vague understanding of fluid dynamics can outsmart this video after the first five minutes. I watched with an open mind and decided no its a load of shit. Opinions differ, so if you want to believe it I can't stop you.

  • @particlejunkie Hi there. I say vague because I have only done stage one, so am obviously far junior to yourself in the field. The 3D motion render used in the video seems to only synchronise with the rod because the 'fins' oscillate on fixed axis', rather than resemble the sine wave motion required for the propulsion of similarly shaped organisms. The main reason I believe they are wings, not fins. Assuming my paradigm, the pairs of wings are three, then two, then three, while keeping their...

  • @particlejunkie ..distance from one another constant. Like a fast moving car with visible wheels.

Also from my understanding, certain fish have evolved this way of propulsion due to the reaction force of the water which is being displaced (which is ~800 times more dense than air). The immense strength and speed required for this same idea to work in air certainly isn't reflected in this video, in my opinion. They aren't moving faster than bugs. I am happy to gain any wisdom offered:-)

  • gods q-tips.....being dicarded

  • Who knows what they really are, could be anything !

  • By now people would have found remains, If rods are biological.

  • I think the best part of this is that we can mimic this animal to make our airplanes MUCH more faster! This might be a gift from nature :)

  • Extraterrestrial surveillance bots.

  • Scientists at Tonghua city decided that they would try to solve the mystery by attempting to catch these airborne creatures. Huge nets were set up and the same surveillance cameras then captured images of rods flying into the trap. When the nets were inspected, the "rods" were no more than regular moths and other ordinary flying insects. Subsequent investigations proved that the appearance of flying rods on video was an optical illusion created by the slower recording speed of the camera.

  • @Rel7eGaDe OK, if they are really not insects, find us a dead one! Different insects have different wingbeat rates. Also, the gov't of China bought into this, recorded images that looked just like rods and when they looked in their nets, guess what they had? BUGS!! Also consider that a "rod" moving at the speeds claimed is as fast as a bullet. They break the sound barrier and make no sound? No remains have been found because nothing in nature eats these and they never die? PLEASE!

  • i think its just the next gen Von Neumann probe, and they will keep on improving their design until it can perform what ever task it is they are evolving/preparing for

  • wow

  • Aah yes rods have been hanging around since the begining you got some big oh rods and some little rods you just dont know?

  • Cool, someone just needs to catch onw

  • maybe it is an alien species !?

  • Hi the fins look like that on cuttlefish so maybe some sort of bi species

  • Haha the 3D animation wouldn't fly. The only reason you can synchronise it with the "rod" is because the "fins" are going up and down (like wings!), not in waves to provide thrust like the fish. Besides, theres a reason flying life forms have wings, and fish have fins- water is 800 times more dense than air! This has become a joke. I'm quite disappointed.

  • @944CoyoteV8 im just wondering; is it possible to have a material that would act like air were more dense and could use that for its advantage?

light is a dualistic material, is it impossible that people can control light in ways we cannot understand?

    Im just thinking out loud.

Personally I have not seen anything like this, but I wont dismiss it just because it sounds "insane" (yes its dismissive and shouldnt be used like this, but it illustrates the point).

  • @br0dskalk Well, I'd heard of rods before watching this and was quite convinced of the possibility. But after watching, not so much. If the "fins" were moving in a way that propelled its body, it would have to be as light as a piece of paper to stay in the air. But you can clearly see by the way it moves, its quiet heavy. Something light relative to air would move more like a butterfly. I'm in physics, not zoology, but I don't think natural selection would let something like this evolve.

  • 24:28. Okay, its a bug.

  • Okay, at 24:04 look at the left hand side. Why does it have four wings, then three, then four? And they move back and forward on the body, but the distance between them doesn't change. I won't say they ARE bugs because I understand most fellow YouTubers are incapable of acceptance of differing opinion, but they look remarkably like flying insects to me. Even in the most hi-res photos.

  • Hmmm. I don't think the bug things ruled out. The tank video is silly. You can't ignore paralax. Either 100mph over the tank, or 15mph one metre in front of the camera. The best video is the first cave example. Everyone thinks that because the "tail" is still in the sun it must be a solid object rather than an illusion created by shutter speed. A flying insect with the right camera exposure time will look identical. Or even a baseball (without the wings haha). Try it.

  • Over 100,000 ton space craft to travel through space at light speed, running on unlimited fuel. Over 2011 years not "1" has landed on earth!

  • @christinachapman85

I resent being called a "troll" Missy... just looking for the truth.

Only closed minds need apply here.....

  • @UFOTVstudios I'm a long term fan of UFOTV & I just think you should not get into pissing contests with these people. You're a reputable company and it makes you look bad. These guys are either dis info. or so blind they will NEVER believe anything other than mainstream education. Your subscribers know where these people are coming from & you really don't need to defend yourself. Please keep 'em coming. BTW, I just bought my 83rd dvd from you guys! I believe in learning before speaking.

  • @gleisberry

Thanks for your reply and thanks for subscribing... subscribed back.

  • @UFOTVstudios

    Wow... you're rigid.

    Bet you're fun at parties - Buh-bye.

  • The shot with the bout 25% of its tail end exposed in sunlight & bout 75% the forward body in the shadow.. well I find it fascinating..

  • We've accidently discovered a new species, why is that so hard to believe, it happens all the time?

  • 1. Those are NOT insects. 2. Neither science nor discovery channel ever tested this. 3. The OP team tested and you can see the difference. 4. If you train your eye you will be able to grasp the silhouette easier, thus the research they did. 5. Let's find out and research. I am soooo sick and tired of scientists telling us: this is all BS. Freaking investigate! Show us the science. We are all blindfolded guys.

  • @UFOTVstudios

I have seen this film more times than I can recount... first time being a least 10 years ago.

I was excited to see this uploaded but in reading the comments I was led to proof de-bunking the rod phenomena.

I was a believer in rods until the proof was brought to my attention.

Sorry you aren't flexible on this subject, but that's okay I'm a stubborn SOB myself.

Now if someone can point me in the direction of a telescope that will prove to me that man has actually been to the moon.

  • they might be spinning like a drill put up nets and try to catch some

    next question?

  • So um people hear me out: I think we should join together into a research group, individual footage is mostly always low quality so if we can make a group of volunteer researchers using are combined money, maybe we can determine what the crafts or life forums really are, also we could develop are own technology, what does anyone think?

  • They look to me like US's military drones.

  • This was an Awesome video....but I've been seeing these pulsating rainbow colored UFO's for 3 weeks now in St George,Utah..nightly...really strange...has anyone else seen them? You can see the Amazing footage I've taken of them by clicking my MoonDawgee channel moniker under this comment box...after you see the videos...I've taken ..11 video's so far of these UFO's...please, someone tell me if you've ever seen these kind before...and where? Thanks...I'm just trying to get some answer's.

  • earth is a ball of mud . . . . if there is nothing else (aliens, spiritual avatars)

  • earth is a ball of mud

  • threy're moths...

  • I don't know why people are so quick to try and dismiss this as nothing.

"My life experience is not consciously, in my awareness, effected by the information presented to me so I will deny its existence."

What purpose does ignorance serve beyond being a self defense mechanism for avoiding the emotional pain of cognitive dissonance?

When you see things as they are, and not as good or bad, you cannot have that cognitive dissonance and ignorance fades away.

  • @sketch2k The reason they dismiss this as nothing is because that's exactly what it is. As far as this particular "phenomena" (I don't even wanna call it that because that gives it too much credit) goes, it's bullshit.

Rods are insects that are captured flying close to the camera, but due to differing shutter speeds, you get what appear to be "rods."

Either the Science or Discovery channel did an experiment using flies and moths I think and managed to create "rods."

    It's bull.

  • @LuniaVideo You're probably right ... fuck the tube. Reality is out there, not in here.

I used to say if you try hard enough you can rationalize anything ... (In other words we can delude ourselves into believe absolutely anything and some people will use that as a tool against us, while other times it can just happen).

I think I'm just trying really hard to make life interesting and meaningful again.

    We're a failed species.

  • @LuniaVideo Also - thanks for writing a decent counter argument and not just calling me a psychotic asshole and leaving it at that.

Final verdict on RODS: Don't really care, probably BS like most things beyond normalcy bias... but who knows, maybe something will happen that blows reality out of the water. I hope so because I really don't want to resort to Heroin addiction to make that happen.

Dear God - send me a woman so that I may avoid insanity and live through her instead.

  • I saw a program about these and other similar creatures more than a decade ago.

  • @mayataeho If something is alive, then it follows it would also be seen dead.

If 'rods' are real then we should have found dead ones.

So what do you mean "seriously?"

  • Comment removed

  • @sketch2k Lol no.

  • Why hasn't anyone found a dead one?

  • This was an Awesome video....but I've been seeing these pulsating rainbow colored UFO's for 3 weeks now in St George,Utah..nightly...really strange...has anyone else seen them? • @mayataeho Dis-info is what happens when people try to spread dis-information, The History Channel is an entertainment channel. And there are those in science that don't like looking outside the box. If you watch the show to the end you will see footage taken by The Discovery Channel and then later annalised with interesting results.

  • why not just set a huge net and catch one?

  • Human beings are so ignorant. Its arrogant to assume that what we see in books or what we're taught in schools are the only things ever to have existed. Every day, new species of creatures, big and small are being discovered all over the globe but we still refuse to accept the fact we may be only a fraction of what is really on our planet.

  • i have one in particular that flys past a fly' the bug is clearly in the film, and then this rod whips right past the insect in under 1 second and flys around the landscape! in under 1 second!! NO bug moves at those speeds!

  • these are real, they are not moths, they are not flys... they move too fast to be a normal bug... i have a few rods i caught on video and i can tell you they are not insects.... they move about 5-10 faster than any bug i have ever seen!

  • The high speeds at which these things travel is what convinces me these aren't your average insect. Oh and another thing, don't know if any of you have seen, they have shot one of these traveling about the clouds and go in and out of them. If that be the case then there's some out there the size of a jumbo jet, or that's some pretty good video editing there.

  • It looks like a giant millepede with long legs some time you wander how they get in your house or in the yard

  • @Sleepworker24 The thought that giant millipedes could be zooming around my head at any given moment is worse than the feeling I get when I think of how many spiders a human eats in his sleep. Very unsettling >_<

  • Comment removed

  • I dont know, i want to belive that this is what we call a "Rod". But from the other tests/videos on youtube i seen.... it sure do look like the camera is getting fooled by some kind of bug/object. Just like our human eyes can be fooled?. Anyways, i love to watch these kind of movies :)!

  • @3pandabearz Come on guy, let's just try and keep this mature. I simply stated my opinion like the 16 other pages of various different opinions for this vid so far. I'm not forcing anything on anyone, like I said, It's just one man's opinion. I adore UFOTV and watch every video this channel puts out as I love the unexplained. This is the only topic that I actually believe there's a very Earthly explanation for. In the future try to keep the character assassination to a minimum.

  • some scientists have theorized that maybe perhaps they're multidimensional creatures that able to phase in and out of their reality and ours kind of like dolphins breaching up out of the water to breath and then back down. maybe this reality is something similar; they can't survive without oxygen in the high plane so they phase in and out to breath. just a theory of course.

  • rods are already found dead... look here this video watch?v=vujVfgbVM

  • @reptimal Your link is this video... the one above. No dead specimen here. Wish there was. I've seen somewhere a side by side shot of moths I believe they were. A consumer brand camera and a high end camera and the high end cam proved clearly, what looked like a rod in the consumer cam was definitely a moth in the one with a high shutter speed. Is there any footage of these things in the last 5 years or so?

  • I like UFOTv and, I thank the person who took time to make this video, but in the end, I still don't buy this as an extraterrestial entity. This is probably an unidentified or misindentified species of insect. Very earthly. I didn't see anything in this video that proved to me it is out of this world. If you acknowledge insignificant things like this, it burns credibility on the UFO phenomena even further for the skeptics. I believe in UFO discs, but I don't believe in Rods as anything but a bug

  • Biodiversity is the degree of variation of life forms within a given ecosystem, biome, ..... New species are regularly discovered (on average between 5–10000 new species each year, most of them insects)

  • I really don't believe these are extra terrestrial or extra dimensional beings, maybe just an undiscovered species indigenous to Earth. I could be wrong though, but it would be cool if we could call these things, our own.

  • As much as I love UFOTV , I'm afraid there is a very high chance these rods are just insects imaged incorrectly by digital cameras . I'd recommend a youtube search of the " Re: Skyfish - Flying Rods ufo" video to see just how it can be achieved .

  • Comment removed

  • looks like a dragon... ive heard legends of them

  • they aren't bugs

  • good job handling the skeptics!!

  • I want one.

  • Attack of the fishing rods!!!!

  • THANKS!

  • these "being" been around the lest couple of thousands of years, once we reach in some evolution where we can tap to there level of vibration where we can see them in normal state "aka time warp" as fairy , why do you think we have discovered them now, to my opinion we're getting there.

  • great stuff! thanx for the upload UFOTV!

  • yeah those are bugs

  • song at 41:07??

  • Best footage yet of these things, this video is solid proof, you would have to be extremely prejudiced to not come to this conclusion

  • RODS = Insects + the shutter speed of old handicams which explains why we don't see this phenomena on newer recordings.

  • @IamKLine Clearly you need to watch to the end of the film where they show footage taken from by a Discovery Channel film crew using state of the art, high speed video cameras to capture cliff jumpers jumping into a 3000 ft. deep cave in South America. The footage reveals the best RODS footage ever captured on film.

  • @UFOTVstudios Completely agree. If after watching this you still claim that they are insects then you are clearly missing all of the facts presented here. These rods are flying at tremendous speeds at a distance away from the camera. Speeds so quick the human eye will miss them.

  • @UFOTVstudios I will admit, the last bit is pretty convincing. I've seen that footage before on some tv show from the late 90s-early 2000s. I believe in researching the unexplained, and this is a good candidate. While my opinion still stands, my mind is open to the truth whatever that may be. With that said, it is a shame proper scientific studies are not being done considering today we have cams that can record up to 250k frames/sec. I would love to get those cams in the S. American black hole.

  • @UFOTVstudios On RODS: I've seen these too and thought ... oh, dust in my eye or something. When it's suggested they could be a microbe or virus etc. ... that makes a lot of sense to me. They seem to be flowing and moving through the air like a fish swims through water - but there's much less resistance and drag in the air and that helps explain the speed.

It really makes me feel like a 'cell' of the earth body. So I wonder what the RODs purpose is here.

  • @UFOTVstudios state of the art for how long ago? 97?

  • @UFOTVstudios Some insects beat their wings at very high frequencies. No matter how fast your frame rate is, you're always going to have the possibility of "rods" due to insects. A mosquito beats its wings at a few hundred hertz at least. A camera shooting 100FPS will therefore pick up multiple wing-beats, creating a streak, and bumps, the classic rod pattern. Rods are just insects, it's obvious. Painfully freaking obvious. Not there isn't unexplained stuff out there.

  • to clarify: the streak/bump pattern comes from the wing of the insect being roughly synchronized with the camera frame rate. In other words, if the wings are beating at 3 or 4 times the speed of the cameras frame rate, then you'll see that number of bumps on either side of the "rod", the rod shape comes from the camera catching the trajectory of the insect as it flies through the air during the exposure. The bug is travelling fast enough to be a blur.

  • @bennymcfarlane 5ft long insects with a 200 mph flight speed....you gotta laugh at that one!

  • @0tt0kruegar They're not five feet long, and they don't fly at 200 mph. They're small and close to the frame. 5 ft long insects that fly at 200 mph is a laughable idea becasue no one has ever seen any. For the same reason, rods are laughable. Especially when there's a perfectly legitimate and testable explanation for them.

  • @bennymcfarlane "put a cow in front of a sceptic and he'll say its a horse".....really thats all i got to say.

  • @0tt0kruegar which doesn't address my argument in the slightest. And I agree with the sentiment. Like that James McGayHea guy on the Larry King show. There's a difference between blind skepticism and offering a plausible explanation. Just cuz the sun shines on a house a certain way doesn't mean the windows are made of gold.

  • @bennymcfarlane yea that fat old bastard McGAYGAY

  • @kingSpork1 ha

  • @0tt0kruegar or more to the point, just because there are videos of helicopters whose blades appear to be stationery during flight, it doesn't mean russia has developed secret helicopters that use some mysterious alternative method of propulsion. The very simple answer is frame rate.

  • @IamKLine i always preferred the old style cameras with negatives which gives more options to work on as evidence.

  • @IamKLine That's pretty stupid logic taking into consideration that we can see practically any being whether it be insect or bird regardless of how fast it's moving with the naked eye as opposed to many of these rods which are only noticed until after reviewing the film itself.

  • @DanielJoseDiego Have you ever even done a query into this? There actually have been studies done in China in which rods were filmed and captured in giant nets. They turned out to be moths. Now I'm not saying they are all moths. For instance what about rods filmed in the upper atmosphere or outer space by NASA... Those cannot be so easily debunked as there is no possibility these are earthly entities. The NASA tether incident is equally fascinating. Please do your own research.

  • @IamKLine I do not have a link mate.. sorry, but i saw the pic's on a another rods doc a few years ago on the tv.. im sure they will on youtube somewhere but they defo do excist mate.. plus i think that the part where there is the rod caught in the shadow is prove enough that it's no bug or bird because if it was it would be either all in the shadow or all in the sunligh dude

  • This is Alien Probes on earth !!! this is biomechaniks it has a winglike propulsion system and i think it is spining fast to move with this speed ?!?

  • I miss Art Bell so much. I wish he'd start his own show.

  • I believe that it's an undiscovered form of life, but why in the hell did they choose that music? It's completely incorrect for the mood and target audience, and only cheapens the serious topic and just provides more ammunition for the unbelieving haters out there to use against people with more open minds. It might seem insignificant, I'm just sick and tired of seeing videos like this audibly edited in a terrible way. The information will speak for itself, leave out the horrendous soundtrack.

  • this is interesting...i know that they do the best they can when capturing photos but i sure wish that some really clear pics could be produced of ufo entities...unrefutable evidence

  • Groovy music. Seriously the cave shot with the six limbs is amazing.

  • @JEKAZOL the final music is epic.

  • @machettepro Makes me want to stomp around in 70s silver sci-fi boot
