  • yeeeeaah...and Chuck Norris led the glory hosts into the glowing victory with two machineguns and multiple roundhouse kicks. Ah just kidding, everybody has the right for their own delusional perception of reality and history(me to). But your point with nationalism is correct. cheers

  • Tkank you for saving our asses in Warsaw Uprasing. We really appreciate your "help".

  • We waiting for new Yalta conference.Could you recive back our royal town-Lwów(today Lviv on Ukraine)-to Poland? It's one of two royal cities which survived WW2(Cracow and Lwów).

Or..If you don't have respect to cultural heritage other nations just don't decide about my country never again.

  • I would like only remaind Americans that ww2 was started in 1939 year, not in 1941 in Pearl Harbor.

I know Americans have no idea about Warsaw Uprasing. This was not jewish ghetto uprasing from 1943 year, but polish uprasing in 1944.

  • If it weren't for the USA you will be speaking German right now, end of story. Cultural heritage? Royal City? How about Warsaw the "royal city" belonging to Germany today? No I do not have respect for ungrateful people like you.

  • Sure, check how many russian soldiers died fighting with Nazis and how many american.

Check, in how many alliance counties were foughting polish soldiers for freedom those countries and how many alliance soldiers were fighting for Poland.

I hope you know that polish Kosciuszko and Pulaski fought in american revolution.

  • I do not know how many russians died in WWII but I know stallin killed 20 million of his own people. and 22000 polish in Katyn, so I do not think he gave a rats ass about how many were killed to defend the USSR and his regime. I know 400,000 americans died in WWII. and you are talking about Kosciuszko and Pulaski? Pleaseeee don't waste my time. Like I said VERY UNGRATEFUL.

  • This was HOLLAND,not POLAND.I know it sounds similiar, but it is not the same.I am sure the Americans fought in Holland, not in Poland, not in the Warsaw Uprasing.

  • This was all allies war's effort, not only american.6 millions Russians lost their lives.American losses were mainly on japanese front, not in europe.Poles fought in the Battle of Britain(the most efficient pilots of the RAF,captured Monte Casino,Atlantic,Arnhem,Tobruk,Narvik,Breda,Falais,Lenino,Berlin and they weren't invited to Allied Parade in London in 1946,because Roosvelt and Churchil sold out Poland to Stalin. Republic of Fiji was invited,Poland was not-the fourth largest allied contingent.

  • You are totally wrong, American death were pretty much the same in both fronts. NOBODY sold Poland to NOBODY, The allies had not choice, the USSR was the lesser of both evils. Do you think the allies wanted to do this? What was the purpose of the cold war then???? You should blame the Poles that colaborated with the soviets against your own people, not the US!!

  • REALLY?

Is this what they teach you in american schools?

we collaborated with soviets? So why soviets killed millions Poles on Sibiria(during war)It was not only Katyń forest massacre-polish officers and intellectuals-Katyń,Charkiv and Miednoje.

    Jesus!

  • Poland had official government in exile in London. Why than Roosvelt and Churchill recognized communist government install by Stalin?

Last polish president in exile-1990 year.

  • Polish prime minister didn't new nothing about Churchil-Stalin deal on Teheran conference.

Polish resistance executed "Storm Plan".This was the plan of liberation polish cities from the Nazis rule. But at the same time, came into polish territories Red Army. This was a very good "ally",who disarmed polish partisants and arrested them.Russians were also very "helpful"during the Warsaw Uprising.

  • Russian troops stationed during the whole Uprising on the other side of the Vistula river and they watched as the Poles were killing by the Nazis. This was very good example of polish-soviets collaboration.

  • You are totally misunderstanding what I am saying. I am not talking about poles collaborating with Russia to invade Poland. I am talking about all the communist poles that collaborated with the USSR to keep poles oppressed under comunism for years and years after that.

  • This is really rubbish. The British are more honorable people.

  • Poland which was the most anti-communist country in Europe wanted to be under influence of USSR?Do you remember polish-bolshevik war?

  • Once more.Poland had official government in exile. The resistance was directly subordinate under authorities in London. Moreover,it wasn't only resistance(partisants),it was underground state with underground schools, university, courts, newspapers etc.

  • Comment removed

  • In Poland few people knew who are those communists. The people of Poland did not choose the Communism. It was forced by Russian troops.

  • Communists came to power because international opinion has recognized communist government.

  • Roosvelt promised to polish prime minister on exile in London help to Uprasing(before uprasing),but as we know today he even did not intend to help. When polish soldiers took part in the liberation of Holland,at the same time polish resistance and civilians were killed in the Uprasing left alone by the allies.200 thousand people have died for nothing.I am not grateful to those russians soldiers who after uprasing began to arrested the Poles and exiled many of them to Siberia.

  • I am VERY GRATEFUL to the polish partisants who fought the Communists until 1956;to those who fought and were arrested or killed in Poznań Rising(1956),in student's revolt(1968),in worker's protests(1970,1976,1988),in Martial Law(1981-1983);to Lech Włęsa and Solidarity movement.

  • Oh I love this place sooooooo much!!! can't wait to visit it again!

    wonderful video~! 5 stars!

  • stop the stupid comments. i am an austrian jew and love this country

  • austria is the most beautiful country ever, sad so many ppl dont know it

  • Really? Laos has the same problem. It's a tropical paradise country in Asia, but nobody knows about it. Like Austria, Laos is extremely beautiful. They have abundant waterfalls, blue lagoons, caves, misty mountains, wild jungles, elephants. I've vacation there so many times. I love the Lao people, culture, and food. Anyway, I think I would like to see Austria also. It looks very beautiful!

  • perhaps murdering a few millions of our citizens is a bit problem for us especielly when we hear about a new german idea of resolution to the European Parliament about Europeans responsibility for the Holocaust.

It's as if to say that we wanted to kill own parents and grandparents. I understand your irritation but you also try to understand our feelings.

  • regarding"we murderd a few million.."

    I didn´t kill anybody.

    who do you blame?

    please tell me.

  • As we can see the Holocaust still evokes emotions but this is not the right time or place for such debates.

  • i agree.

  • Oooooh,

God bless the planet & Viena. The most attractive city in Mid-Europe..

I also remember the small villages on the bank of Danu River.. I need to come back..

  • Hi how is Bruno :) or Fritz now wil be the most popular gay country in the world ONY BIG GERMANY

  • i love that place

  • i wanna visit Austria

  • We never forget that Austrians and Germans ,utterly destroyed Warsaw during WW2.

  • we never forget that we have to accept that there are some idiots who dont know that enough is enough. we live in the 21 century. 60 years after the wwII .

so please. wake up and look into the future. vienna is a nice place. maybe there are some idiots. but can you tell that your country is free of them?

  • Of course, that Vienna is a beautiful city.

I'm just a little jealous, because in Poland we do not have any nice places.

Stop calling us slaves, untermenschen etc.

enough is enough,60 years after war.

  • who is calling you "slaves"? Who is calling you "Untermenschen"?

    YOU ARE 23?!

    ......

    Reminder: WW II ended 1945.

  • It happens.Such arguments are used not only by Germans, but also by other nations when they want to humiliate us.

  • As far as Warsaw is concerned,Poles are a bit touchy because it is the only capital city which has no monuments and is considered to be a very ugly city.

  • Do you realize that 1945 was the end of war only for the West? For Poland that was just a switch from nazism to communism. We ended our struggle for freedom in 1989.People born after 1989 is the first generation people who do not remember any occupants.Your free and democratic generations appeard in the 1950.Today,knowing the facts we feel regret to our allies(UK,USA,France)which is even strong than anger with Germany.

  • Austria is my Dream place!!! and the people are so sweet, smart, funny and not to mention financially secure!...they don't go from paycheck to paycheck...they invest and have big savings accounts! We Americans should learn from them!

  • I've never been to Vienna, but watching this video, I feel as if I'm traveling there. Thanks for this wonderful video with nice photos and music!
