I don't give a shit about all these people that hate us, call us Nazis (after nearly 70 years) and so on.
Quality of living is good, just laugh at these stupid Anti-Austrians, most of them are really uneducated racists that are full of hate. Maybe some them work too much and are stressed? I don't know, I don't care.
The most beautiful city in Central Europe(maybe in entire Europe)! Vienna has some wonderful mixture of classical culture and modern styles. I can't wait to go there again!

I'm incredibly disappointed in this Austria I've planned my vacation for so long and was ever so excited to be there as I am a classical musician and Austria has always been a beacon for that.
Only to find out when I got there how blatantly racist the entire country was. I have travelled all over the world and Austria by far is the most racist country I've ever been to.

For all of you arguing... Its not Austria or Germany or Russia. All of Europe filled with hate brought about by nationalism. That nationalism is what fulled all World Wars. Fortunately for us and for you (since we had to go and save your asses) we never had that here in the USA.
yeeeeaah...and Chuck Norris led the glory hosts into the glowing victory with two machineguns and multiple roundhouse kicks. Ah just kidding, everybody has the right for their own delusional perception of reality and history(me to). But your point with nationalism is correct. cheers
We waiting for new Yalta conference.Could you recive back our royal town-Lwów(today Lviv on Ukraine)-to Poland? It's one of two royal cities which survived WW2(Cracow and Lwów).
Or..If you don't have respect to cultural heritage other nations just don't decide about my country never again.
If it weren't for the USA you will be speaking German right now, end of story. Cultural heritage? Royal City? How about Warsaw the "royal city" belonging to Germany today? No I do not have respect for ungrateful people like you.
Sure, check how many russian soldiers died fighting with Nazis and how many american.
Check, in how many alliance counties were foughting polish soldiers for freedom those countries and how many alliance soldiers were fighting for Poland.
I hope you know that polish Kosciuszko and Pulaski fought in american revolution.
I do not know how many russians died in WWII but I know stallin killed 20 million of his own people. and 22000 polish in Katyn, so I do not think he gave a rats ass about how many were killed to defend the USSR and his regime. I know 400,000 americans died in WWII. and you are talking about Kosciuszko and Pulaski? Pleaseeee don't waste my time. Like I said VERY UNGRATEFUL.
This was HOLLAND,not POLAND.I know it sounds similiar, but it is not the same.I am sure the Americans fought in Holland, not in Poland, not in the Warsaw Uprasing.
This was all allies war's effort, not only american.6 millions Russians lost their lives.American losses were mainly on japanese front, not in europe.Poles fought in the Battle of Britain(the most efficient pilots of the RAF,captured Monte Casino,Atlantic,Arnhem,Tobruk,Narvik,Breda,Falais,Lenino,Berlin and they weren't invited to Allied Parade in London in 1946,because Roosvelt and Churchil sold out Poland to Stalin. Republic of Fiji was invited,Poland was not-the fourth largest allied contingent.
You are totally wrong, American death were pretty much the same in both fronts. NOBODY sold Poland to NOBODY, The allies had not choice, the USSR was the lesser of both evils. Do you think the allies wanted to do this? What was the purpose of the cold war then???? You should blame the Poles that colaborated with the soviets against your own people, not the US!!
we collaborated with soviets? So why soviets killed millions Poles on Sibiria(during war)It was not only Katyń forest massacre-polish officers and intellectuals-Katyń,Charkiv and Miednoje.
Polish prime minister didn't new nothing about Churchil-Stalin deal on Teheran conference.
Polish resistance executed "Storm Plan".This was the plan of liberation polish cities from the Nazis rule. But at the same time, came into polish territories Red Army. This was a very good "ally",who disarmed polish partisants and arrested them.Russians were also very "helpful"during the Warsaw Uprising.
Russian troops stationed during the whole Uprising on the other side of the Vistula river and they watched as the Poles were killing by the Nazis. This was very good example of polish-soviets collaboration.
You are totally misunderstanding what I am saying. I am not talking about poles collaborating with Russia to invade Poland. I am talking about all the communist poles that collaborated with the USSR to keep poles oppressed under comunism for years and years after that.
Once more.Poland had official government in exile. The resistance was directly subordinate under authorities in London. Moreover,it wasn't only resistance(partisants),it was underground state with underground schools, university, courts, newspapers etc.
Roosvelt promised to polish prime minister on exile in London help to Uprasing(before uprasing),but as we know today he even did not intend to help. When polish soldiers took part in the liberation of Holland,at the same time polish resistance and civilians were killed in the Uprasing left alone by the allies.200 thousand people have died for nothing.I am not grateful to those russians soldiers who after uprasing began to arrested the Poles and exiled many of them to Siberia.
I am VERY GRATEFUL to the polish partisants who fought the Communists until 1956;to those who fought and were arrested or killed in Poznań Rising(1956),in student's revolt(1968),in worker's protests(1970,1976,1988),in Martial Law(1981-1983);to Lech Włęsa and Solidarity movement.
Really? Laos has the same problem. It's a tropical paradise country in Asia, but nobody knows about it. Like Austria, Laos is extremely beautiful. They have abundant waterfalls, blue lagoons, caves, misty mountains, wild jungles, elephants. I've vacation there so many times. I love the Lao people, culture, and food. Anyway, I think I would like to see Austria also. It looks very beautiful!
perhaps murdering a few millions of our citizens is a bit problem for us especielly when we hear about a new german idea of resolution to the European Parliament about Europeans responsibility for the Holocaust.
It's as if to say that we wanted to kill own parents and grandparents. I understand your irritation but you also try to understand our feelings.
