Look at the yellow brake pistons - typically used for Porsche's ceramic breaks.

Also: the double exhaust always used for the Boxster S or Cayman S models...

A V6? That`s something even I have never seen in a Boxster ^^. Putting aside the fact that the middle engine arrangement of the Boxster makes it impossible to implement a V6, the real engine is mentioned in the name: Boxster => Boxer/Roadster. So it`s a boxer not a V...

Also, I respect the 350, but a Porsche isn`t just about those things you mentioned. There is also the Porsche Myth. Although I have to say that this might only be true for Europe.

It seems weird to me that they would see a Boxster Spyder and think it was something else. Here's the reason. Porsche announced the Spyder in early November of '09, and unveiled it at the '09 LA Auto Show... both of which occurred before this video was made.

I would not be surprised of Porsche made a four-cylinder turbo version of the Boxster (I mean, 265 is good power for a car like this) but I would be surprised if it looked so different from the base Boxster.

I currently own a 2007 Boxster. It now has 225,000km. My friends ask me if there is a car on the market i would buy one day to relace it, and I have to say no. Nothing out there interest me up to now. One thing that I would like is a 4 wheel drive Boxster but I don't want the added weight. A turbo 4 cyl, married to 4 wheel drive would make sense to me. Speed and agility for all 4 seasons!!!

 It is not the same engine as in the GTI. The R20 has the Audi S3 motor which has a different ID#. It has strengthend internals and the block is also different. It can easily support 500 bhp. The R20 is a monster in sheep"s clothing.

@oyicu the thing is that the 2.0t engine is a fantastic engine. it's already used in audi, vw, skoda, seat, and now porsche too. it's extremely versatile and has a lot of power/torque with little turbo lag.

like i said, the point of a porsche is fantastic handling, and if they decided to put the 2.0t engine in the boxster, it'd be lighter and would handle better.

i'd prefer the 200 bhp variant over the 265 bhp because there'd be less turbo lag.

Agreed again, but the Golf-R that is about to go on sale in the USA will have only 270hp hence my comment about a modest reflash to get it to approximately 310hp. The Seat, Focus RS, Megane R26R are not coming to the USA so that is our serious loss.

@wideopen704 They won't be abondoning the flat 6. In fact their newest car the porsche 911 turbo s that was just released is still a flat six but almost as fast as a bugatti veyron to 100 mph. I have a friend who is a professional racecar driver who just got one and it even pulled 0-60 mph in 2.86 seconds!!!! I don't think they will be leaving the flat 6 anytime soon.
