I really appreciate this comment, I can see where you are coming from. To be honest though, I see that if I do a cover with lyrics that say that i've been in the army there is a confusing side about why I would pretend to be something i'm not. I'm already doing that with the lyrics and if i'd change my personal singing style to fit this too then what would make this cover my own?

Maybe this is the wrong choice of song though, but I support Phil Ochs and it is a great song. This however is my adaptation and I feel that I should not change my singing style to fit the original or the lyrics.
