Who's the fake bishop.......you're a non-ecclesiastical church..........or will you do anything for fancy clothes? looks more like an orgy than worship.
Today I thought about this song. The ONLY person who came to my mind - Dr. H. B. Hicks, Jr. Let's have church Pastor! When I want some "ole school" refresher, I know where to listen to remind me of my youth. PRAISE BE TO GOD!! Keep on Singing Dr.
TO TIGHMIR GOD IS HOLY HIS SON IS HOLY HEAVEN IS HOLY AND WE MUST BE SANCTIFLED AND HOLY WHATS TRADITION IS BAPTIST LOL. JOHN THE BAPTIST WAS A HOLY AND SANCTIFLED MAN OF GOD SO GET SAVE YOU WILL FEEL GOOD.
I don't think it matters what denomination they are... God should not be divided. Do NOT put him in a box. We have to get away from tradition and do what the holy spirit (or ghost) says do. And to the people who say it's controlled. The LORD said, "let everything be done in decency and in order" one question for you all is, "what denomination is Heaven's Choir?"
What a wonderful rendition of this traditional Black Church song. Black Churches of the various traditions and denominations (Baptist, Methodist, Sanctified, Fire Baptized and others) each have unique sounds but unified sound echoing in them all has an unrivaled beauty. What blessed unity in the Body of Christ that we can all sing these songs in the Spirit. I love it> Bless Metropolitan and Dr Hicks
THAT'S ALL RIGHT DR. HICKS! KEEP PRAISING THE NAME OF THE LORD!! GOD IS WORKING WONDERS FOR YOU AND YOUR CONGREGATION. I LOVE YOUR WAY OF SINGING! GOD BLESS YOU! ALSO, CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHERE THIS CHURCH IS LOCATED? THANKS!
@MsMinisterS The building is at 1225 R Street, NW Washington, DC 20009. Worship Services is at 1400 First St, NW Washington, DC 20001. It's the Armstrong CAPCS School behind Dunbar High School. Can't miss it. That's our temporary location.
I believe it is not whether I like them or not, they accomplished there mission which was serving the Lord, and reminding us that we do not know the day nor the hour!! Though I did enjoy their ministry.
I heard a male chorus do this song and ever since I've wanted to find the lyrics & any audio/video for it. I was planning on teaching this to my male chorus, but after hearing this arrangement, I'm gonna teach it to my combined choirs.
Any choir that has a "real" musician or minister of music should have a "controlled" sound...that is a sign of good training...LOL!!!!! Has nothing to do with denomination!!!
Yep--yep you dont understand what I am saying----it is too controlled it is not a natural sound----LOL you can be trained night and day---but without the annointing it shows----there is a difference between training and anointing!!l and it does have to do with your denomination because if they don't teach you that---then you wont know it!
I am sure as they know it they are---but there is a serious difference between their sound, and the way the same song would sound in a pentecostal church
well not all baptist churches you know- not even the majority we may not shout as much but that doesn't mean nothing cause you can't shout or sing your way into heaven God could careless how fancy your feet are or how many riffs doesn't mean your more or less saved or holy I've seen people healed and delivered in a Baptist and shouting in a Methodist church we should get past denominational misconceptions and focus more on God and his glory. But I gotta say i do love the cogic LOL
Chorus: Watch ye therefore You know not the day When the Lord shall call your soul away If you labor keep striving for the right (or prize?) We shall wear a golden crown (Repeat) Just as soon as my feet strike Zion Im gonna lay down my heavy burden Put on my robe in glory Shout and tell the story Come over hills and mountains Up to the crystal fountain Where all of God's sons and daughters drinking from the healing waters And we shall wear a golden crown
actually its "ye" shall wear a golden crown. but whateva...metropolitan is jammin. why cant i find any more similar uptempo versions of watch ye therefore. everything else i pull up is some slow version. oh yeah... "be not like the foolish virgins did; for He's coming and you know not when; have your lamps on trimmed and burning bright, and ye shall wear a golden crown.
no no no no noooooo... never change denominations over music. i'm hoping the major reason had to do with perceived doctrine. but anyway.... i'll be lookin for yall in the heavenly choir!!
Watch ye therefore, you know not the day When the Lord shall call soul your soul away If you labor kepp striving for the prize ( or ride) We shall wear a golden crown (Repeat) Verse: Just as soon as my feet strike Zion I'm gonna lay down my heavy burden Put on my robe in glory Shout and tell the story Come over hills and mountains Up to the crystal fountain All of God's sons and daughters drinking from the healing waters And we shall wear a golden crown.

"mezzo" means middle so a mezzo soprano would be a second soprano.
