  • I thought it was going to come out of the bracket mount thing too but my screw came all the way out and the coolant pissed out all over my face!

  • You were low on coolant!

  • I'm gonna go ahead and...... Ummmm Kay. Office Space

  • You have to turn the heater on as well so it'll flush the heater core!

  • thanks dude. i'm a girl and i am thankin my lucky stars for your vid =)

  • PRESS 2 FOR SPANISH!

  • Hi! I have a 01 ford focus zx3, and was wondering if by any chance you knew where the coolant sensor is located? My car seems to overheat when ever i make a stop at a light of stop. And we can't find where is at?

  • GOD BLESS YOU

  • Is it bad to run 100% coolant? It doesn't go below freezing here ever, and I put my car in the garage anyways..?

  • Very good. Video

  • WoW you bought 1/2 gallon of coolant and 1/2 gallon of water, no deal for that. For a couple of more dollars you could have got a full gallon and added your own water! 50/50 is a scam .

  • video was a big help to me, thank you

  • Great video! I'm currently under my girlfriends 02 focus watching this haha although I'm still confused about bleeding the air out?

  • you drained the coolant from the wrong thing...there is a petcock removal cap that is behind that area...its white and octagonial

  • great! i have a '04 focus with the zetec engine, virtually the same. this is way easier than what the haynes service book recommends, since you don't have to remove the thermostat (a big pain in the butt, due to its location behind some immovable pipes) OR flush the thing out with a garden hose, also a pain since you have to remove the top radiator hose and let the clean water drain from it. so, i'm doing it your way, thanks

  • Thanks for the video. :)

  • Nice vid :)

Regarding bubbles in system, there is usually bleeding point on every car. On most of the cars it is on large tube that comes from TOP (not bottom) of the radiator into the engine (trough thermostat). Bleeding point is usually on top of that tube and you just need to open it while engine is running. Let it bleed for a while (put a bucket below it) and add coolant to maintain proper level.

Also, put water before flushing fluid, otherwise you can damage plastic tubes.

  • I had the same crack in the plastic tube and just flushed my system. FYI - after loosening the drain plug go loosen one of the hoses connected to the plastic tube. A lot more coolant will drain.

  • looks like piss lol

  • Hey thanks alot, that really helped.

  • Great informational video. Thank you. Cheers, Lucius

  • Great video! Thank you. You totally rock!!!

  • At the beginning of your video you talk about that hard plastic thing under the hose that cracked and caused you to have to do the flush after changing it. ... What is that called. The same thing is wrong with my focus. I need to get it replaced asap... it is leaking bad and causing my car to overheat.

  • @daize19 It's called a coolant hose outlet tube

  • Me gustó el vídeo, gracias.

  • there is no bleeding on newer cars on my understanding .. Check the owners manual on your focus

my 97 pontiac needed it ha !!

  • Thanks so much. I watched it then did it. 45 minutes after watching this, my Focus had fresh coolant. :-)
