I would define world class as being in the top 5 in your position:
Maicon, Dani Alves, Sagna, Ramos, Lahm are all better. If he is getting loaned out, it just proves he isn't world class.

Rafeal can only even get into MU's defense cuz there's no out & out RB other than him & Neville (Who's OLD). If Santon was @ MU, rafeal wud be a benchwarmer (Matter of fact, Fergie been watching him recently :D)

@cooldude1995 They got a call up...for a friendly, thatz jus' so they dnt play for Portugal in the future. Itz nt like they're gonna start in the real competitions (copa america)... Essentially, they're nt as gud as Maicon nor Santon. Atttacking-wise RAFAEL may beat Santon (Fabio is too dependent on his right foot to be any real threat on the left).. slightly. Defensively Santon beats 'em both hands down, plus his flexibility & effectiveness down either wing. He's superior to both :)

@XXXplojon no they got called up to a friendly to play, they're already eligible for brazil and not portugal, as they have played in the brazil under 21 team. Also, trust me they will be as good if not better than maicon and santon attacking-wise, and yeah i agree that santon is better defensively although rafael has improved a lot this season and is very capable of defending too, raf and fab are both at a better club and that means they will have more of a chance of fulfilling their potential.

So, Dunga calls dem up & give 'em some mins, binding dem 2 Brazil. MU, a "better" club is subjective. Serie A is best suited to develop a fullback & Santon's ALREADY a gr8 fullback (UCL- marked out CR7 for 90 mins), he gets better every app. Every quality player Rafael's against, expect red. He needs d mins more. When maicon retires, U'll c :)

No MU being a better club isn't subjective, you just have to look at the record when they've versed each other and their trophy cabinets to see that. He did great to mark out ronaldo, but rafael has marked out ronaldinho, ribery (before he got sent off, which shouldn't have been), malouda, bale, even ronaldo in training. And no chance you ask any fan la liga and PL are the best lgs.

@cooldude1995 Inter has MORE success dan MU in a league that has been better throughout history. EPL has come to prominence JUST recently with the injection of cash, so don't undermine Serie A. Besides, Rafael has NEVER been that gud (Ronaldinho's rubbish now)... Ribery, Malouda & Bale made him their bitch, & training is not UCL. Besides, Serie A is still the toughest league defensively... the league where SANTON, shines. He'd make EPL attackers seem like children (again, lol).

Serie A isn't as good as it is now mate, laliga, PL, bundesliga are all now better.
