  • They say the late reno racer Jimmy Leeward was an aviation stuntman in some movies, I often have wondered if he in his youth was kinda like stuntman Mike, is depicted here. I guess most on here wouldn't have a clue who I mean? other then other race fans of the "late formentioned" I'd like to hear from someone who knew the guy.

  • Being the late Reno Airacer "Jimmy Leeward" was at one point a stuntman, I wonder if he was as smooth as "Stuntman Mike" RIP

  • 2:38-3:00 the most badass monologue ever said in a movie

  • Can't wait to see Kurt in Django

  • @Tusc9969

Me too, man! So far, Kurt is still in talks to get the role of "Ace Woody." I sure as hell hope he takes the part!

  • @CesMan83 Mee too! =)

  • Seriously, Kurt Russell is damn near IMPOSSIBLE to DISLIKE...he's the Man

  • Do Stuntmen say "Break a Leg" to eachother, before performing their stunts...?? (I always wanted to know)

  • Ugh, Rose Mcgowan used to look so hot back then. Now, she looks fucking creepy after all her plastic surgery.

  • tarantino is always wise when choosing his actors

can't think of anyone else playing stuntman mike, none other than kurt russell

  • wow that was some good stuff. i liked the things they were saying and doing and stuff. i hope i get a ten thousand thumbs up.

  • whoa! I'm the 42 000 th viewer! Yey roundnumber me!

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHH.... You know what ole' Jack Burton always says at a time like this....

  • Does Someone know the name of the music at 0:02 ?

  • Hey Warren, who is this guy?

    Stuntman Mike.

And who the hell is Stuntman Mike?

    He's a stuntman.

  • "yeah I know... sorry... its my moms car."

  • Yes, this killer stuntman just happen to mess with the wrong girls !! These women are ex-boxers,karate experts and themselves did stunt work to. lol lol

  • Big Trouble in Little china... probably my favorite Kurt Russell movie. So over the top, but funny as hell.

  • @azrock4ever Funniest movie I've ever seen.

  • Hey, ladies!

    That was fun!

  • god

  • Tarra is a Genius !!

  • I just realized at 0:21 he's wearing Snake's countdown clock and his emergency signal

  • Kurt Russell is awesome, i really wish to see him in more Movies.

  • He would be perfect for a John Wayne biopic...I'm sure he could do the face.

  • Inglorious Basterds is a FICTIONAL movie of World War two..

Also this movie was pretty cool, but I was kinda let down by the ending.

  • is this movie worth 2 buy?

  • Truly one of his best roles ever. He was custom made for this part.

  • While Stuntman Mike will probably never be as revered a Tarantino villain as Bill or Hans Landa, I still have to hand it to him for creating one of the most immensely fascinating personas of chauvenism and horror of the decade.

And it's definitely made all the more "fun" by Kurt Russell's performance.

  • I love Terentino too, but Inglorious Basterds was a bore. Didn't even finish it. Also, he seems to becoming more politically correct in his movies, which is a downfall of any director. Once they start spouting their political views, which generally are so farfetched.

  • @makingcentz Inglorious Basterds was not boring are you kidding me? Hitler dies at the end how is that politically correct?

  • @Y2JROCKFAN some parts were boring, but overall it was a good movie, just a little bit too dialogue but i enjoyed it

  • BEST ACTOR EVER HE IS AWESOME

  • terentino are the bst fil maker of all ^^

  • hes good, but take it easy obviusly hes not the best.

  • He is to good looking for the part. :) He dosn't look a bit like the looser the role is really fit for.. hehe :)

  • Cool actor and cooler person. He flies his own plane, was a professional baseball player, just a regular guy.

  • I've always liked Kurt Russell and you never hear anything bad about him. More than any other actor I always hear about regular people who have met him and gotten autographs with him or even chatted with him say he was the nicest and coolest star they ever met.

  • Stuntman Mike DESERVED to get his Ass handed to him by some pissed of women, considering what he did to the young girls in the beginning!

So, No! I was not pissed I was HAPPY!

  • Yeah. The first half of the movie is supposed to be like a typical slasher movie, where the killer is a badass, who you root for rather than the idiotic victims.

The second half totally subverts that by revealing Mike as nothing more than a cowardly pervert when he messes with a group of intelligent, self sufficient women. In fact, that's why Lee gets left behind. In a typical slasher, she would be the first to die.

  • whyyy???

i loved the way he killed those bitches, i actually had an orgasm

  • Kurt Russell is Still HOT!!!!

  • was anyone else pissed when kurt got his ass kicked by women at the end?

  • i sure as hell fucking was.i mean i have nothing against women.i love women.but i hate to see a badass get owned by women.

  • @nemesis656 - I was pissed off whe I first saw it. Especially since so many women in the theater were laughing, clapping, & cheering at the end. However, I've changed my point of view in the last three years. That was the reaction Kurt Russell & Tarantino wanted. Also remember, that was Stuntman Mike who got his ass kicked. :-) Not Kurt Russell or Snake or Jack Burton.

  • @nemesis656 Of course not, he bought and paid for that ass-whoopin! Question....how long is he supposed to get away with killing innocent people??????????

  • @nemesis656 The genious touch.

  • Kurt Russell OWNS! And the BEST part of the movie was Kurt Russell crying like a baby after getting shot!!! It was brilliant and F#cking awesome. Some of the best work done by an Actor ive seen in a while. The best

  • kurt is........... godly

  • stuntman mike was an awesomeeee character, too bad the other movie on this double feature brought it down because this movie was REALLY good.

  • yeah, i loved this movie. planet terror was not a great movie, but the machine gun leg was pretty fucking awesome, plus the main theme

  • That is why Kurt is the best actor out there. He was able to go from an evil person to a cry-baby. It's hilarious and why he is such an amazing talent on the screen. Plus, busting up a classic Dodge Challenger. Rosario Dawson. How can you go wrong?

  • I was so pissed at this movie

  • Fucking cool...

  • @Sammonoske - Stuntman Mike was a bully. Most bullies are cowards who only like to pick on people they know won't fight back, but will resort to crybabies when confronted. Remember the bully from The Christmas Story, & how he began to cry when Ralphie fought back? It's the same deal with Death Proof.

  • @Sammonoske - Kurt Russell has compared Stuntman Mike to the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz. The lion was all big, bad & mean, but once he got a small slap to the nose, he started crying & turned into a coward, & that was where Kurt Russell got the idea to turn Stuntman Mike into a scream queen. So the ending makes perfect sense when you think of it like that.

  • @Sammonoske that was the best part! the only way he could kill women is to pray on weak ones, for the table to be turned was hilarious.

  • @Sammonoske

You obviously didn't get it then. He was a stunt purist, and the girls weren't "playing along." He wasn't trying to kill them. He was trying to play with them in his professional sense, and they fucked it all up. That's why Mike was having a breakdown. He couldn't believe someone else didn't get the joke.

  • @Sammonoske i think you dont understand this movie.

  • @MrBahamut33 What's not to understand? Kurt's character goes from badass to cry baby because the "stunt" doesn't go his way and injured by these psychopathic woman that were terrified a second earlier. The character personality swaps make NO sense at all.

  • @Sammonoske That was awesome! Never seen before. You just didn't get it.

  • @Sammonoske He got owned, it was a genius ending. xD

  • 70 nova

  • God they fucked this movie up by killing Kurt by stupid shitty acting chicks! Thats what you do when your a shitty director. Long live John Carpenter the man who knows what to do with Kurt!

  • Yea! Like, God forbid Tarantino use irony in one of his movies. >.>

    Tarantino > Carpenter

  • Big trouble in little china is the BEST movie with Kurt Russel in it.

  • i thought the 1st transcripts had mickey rourke has stuntman mike...

even zoe bell says she saw his name and hers at the top of the bill....

  • I was rooting for Stuntman Mike by the end of the film. The girls were just annoying and obnoxious.

  • I have never liked a Tarantino movie, but I really really agree with him on his likes of the past. He named all the Kurt Russell stuff I like. He mentioned the Dexter Riley roles and Barefoot Executive. Awesome!

  • Kurts the best!

  • Ohh man I LOVE Kurt Russell he's SOOOO hot even for old man lol love you Kurt!! Planet Terror and Death Proof KICKED ASS!!!!!!!!

  • Quentin Tarrintino sorry bout the spellin, was in planet terror as the dude that got his dick wet

  • Kurt Russell looks fucking cute on this movie.

Plus the way he dresses, in those tight jeans, tight black shirt, showing some old muscle.

And, OOh, what a charming man on this moviee, so badass of him, I'd give the doll a lapdance!

  • Kurt Russell IS Stuntman Mike. He was born to play that part. He was just so beyond fantastic for the role. It's almost like Quentin Tarantino gave birth to him, and after he invented Stuntman Mike, he created an actor who could play him.

  • Kurt Russell is on the Heroic status of acting. Love him.

  • GRANDE KURT RUSSEL, UN MITO!!!

  • Kurt Russell was custom made for the part of Stuntman Mike. He was perfect. No other actor could have played the role better. When he first got the role, I was worried that he couldn't play a serial killer well. Boy, was I wrong. My only regret is that freaking I love Russell, and the ending....I don't even wanna talk about it. lol. But the ending was the only thing that made me wish another actor played the part cause I didn't like seeing Kurt getting dissed. lol. Ah well. I'll get over it. :-)

  • wow. kurt russel sounds so creepy at 2:40

  • I hope you know that that was Kurt doing a John Wayne imperssonation... creepy?? It was John Wayne.

  • grindhouse waz definately tha must see movie and tha most entertaining movie of tha year. both flickz were ill

  • Fo sho.

  • haha kurt russel iz da man 4 real. he waz briliant in this movie. both death proof and planet terror were amazing. perfect tribute 2 a grindhouse old school flick. if yall waz feelin death proof wit kurt russel yall needa rent or buy escape from l.a. itz also beautifully shot like tha grindhouse moviez. good video

  • seweeet kurt russel is the man.

  • Death Proof was awesome! The whole Grindhouse package is a lot better though in the theaters, when the hell are they gonna release it the way it was done in the theatres? I know it didnt make much money, but come on!!!!!!!!!

  • True, the only way to get the full experience was with a full house with you.

Supposedly there's a full grindhouse package coming sometime, with all the fake trailers as well.

  • machete was fucking hilarious

  • Yea I dont understand why it didnt make alot in tha theatres especially with other trash that was released that year but whatever!! I loved both Grindhouse features but I must say Kurt's best role WAS Big Trouble in Little China!!!

  • kurt kick ass

  • This featurette should've been called "Quentin Tarantino talks a lot".

  • Kurt Russell is the man! Chuck Norris can take a hike.

  • kurt russell FUCKING ROCKS.

  • He always HAS rocked. :)

I wish the studios would realize that. He is one of the nicest guys ever and one of the greatest, most underused, underpaid, underrated actors.

  • Agreed! He's great & this film was definately up there with his best performances, actually it is my personal favourite performance from him.

  • @kitsa42

Couldn't agree more. If they didn't see it in 1982 when he did 'The Thing,' they should definitely have seen it in 2007 when he did Death Proof.

  • Did Quention say: "... into a cowardly lion.",

when he talks about the turnover Stuntman Mike makes?

  • Yeah, he's talking about how whiney Mike gets in the end.

    Great scene...

  • He was really the perfect person to play that part, I could not see anyone else doing it as good as he did it.

  • Me either. As Tarantino says in the interview, he represents "old Hollywood" or a type of Hollywood that no longer exists, that only existed about four generations ago. Kurt Russell is the perfect picture of what he's talking about.

  • his John Wayne is great

  • Oh, I know...I love it.

YER GOIN' IN MY BOOK! :)

I was laughing so hard when he said it.
