i dont know why people are talking about the who's bass player but i'll contribute. John's cool but all it really is is fast distorded notes, no emotion whatsoever. Jaco is out of this world with feeling and soul. Any feeling this man ever had came through his music and I only just started listening to him
don`t need to judge these guys like that...Jaco was a genius!!...this is only a jam..the music is not a horse race for comparison...only needs to be enjoyed..
My teacher quoted Jacos part during my lesson on an old 71 Fender Musicmaster Bass. It had the Jaco Growl to it plus also druing that lesson he also quoted the chorus to come on come over. He also has the oppertunity to record with The Bass of Doom next month.

I like Sco's playing but I wish he hadn't used that chorus effect. I would have felt his playing more if his tone was just slightly dirty instead.
